Is Janey doing a study on drownings? I will be happy to have a look and add what I can.

I think she was just interested in the number of our forebears who met their death by drowning. I'm sure she'll correct me if I'm wrong!

Stay around Persie.....just going to look. Will put the link on here.

Thank you Cynthia... I have copied that... had a quick look and do remember seeing some of the posts on it. I will give it some thought.

My cousin lost her husband and her first child in a boating accident, she was pregnant with the second child and managed to stay afloat. I don't think she ever got over it and her second child grew up to be less than charming and she took her own life about 15 years ago.

Hi all

I was reading through the Old Bailey online site last night I find some of the trials interesting and their way with words...no ancestors though :-(

What are they getting upset about on FB about The Telegraph saying this is an ideal retirement hobby....it is!!! They did'nt say you had to be retired did they?

Received the 1910 marriage cert of granddaughters ancestors today....

I find them on 1911 as Thomas and Annie...Yep..Correct
On cert Thomas says fathers name Peter Southall Tho*.Yep,find his birth no prob (and Thomas and Annie had a son with middle name Southall)find him on census with son born right time for Thomas and doing what Thomas did..Only his name is ...NOAH....Seems he didnt like his first name and changed when moving from one end of England to the other..?
No wonder I had NO CHANCE of finding him on census before 1911..!

Gee

Gee Report 17 Jun 2011 17:48

I am no longer quiet I am home cooking for the hungry Friday gang...fresh pasta with red pepper and mascarpone sauce....crusty fresh bread to dip

Hoovered the whole house
Done the laundry
Done the dishwasher
Cleaned the shower room from top to bottom
