I'd love to have the Buckinghamshire records as well!

I might be able to find that guy who landed on earth in time to marry in 1740, and start all that side of the family!

Reporting In.... I saw my name in a roll call further down the page.

Been out all day... Evan turned 10 last Monday and today we took him out for the day... We took him first to buy his present... I have no idea what it is .. came in a tin.. (wasn't a cake) and it something to do with computer games. OH was so impressed how he knew exactly where to find it etc.. all over in a matter minutes. Then a train to the CBD, had some morning tea and then went to a Maritime Museum... was very interesting.. I also found a computer there which has links re passenger lists etc so have now got an ID number to follow that up. I did not take my computer glasses and it was more a day out for him .. not me doing research LOL.... at 2pm we went out on the harbour in a sailing scow (like I ancestors arrived on) Evan helped with the raising of the sails... then afterwards we finished the museum and had a very late lunch around 4pm before catching the train back... and then collecting the car to go home. He was very happy with it all.

One part in the museum we went into an area which showed how some of our ancestors came over by ship and the beds they slept in etc. There were these shelves of bunks on either side of the room. I felt a bit wobbly and thought oh I have gone dizzy... stupid fool that I am the room was just moving ever so slightly one way and then back again.. could see this by watching the boards at the doorway... of course we were supposed to be on a ship. Called Evan back to stand in there and he couldn't even notice the movement until I showed him the walls... oh what it is to be so young and stable.

Sounds like you and your grandson had a lovely day Persie!

How is your grand-daughter?

We had a family barbacue with the grandchildren - it went very well, though it was Soooo hot !! (for a change!). - Paddling pool got well used, along with the water pistols etc.

Everyone gone home now - phewww !!!!!!!

Tons of washing-up (thank heavens for the dishwasher!), Have 'some' left-overs if anyone wants any? (I do like to cook too much - I hate people not to have enough if they want more !).

Ja....x - I will take a look but I think the passenger lists start at 1860 ?

Dea x

OOppp-s - Ancestry passenger lists are onl;y 'incoming' !!
