Take your gloves off Gins....you'll find your fingers will move over the keyboard easier!

Poor Grace. I wondered if you were okay. Glad you are on the road to recovery anyway.

Hope Maggie remembered to empty all the pockets in her handbag before it went on sale... Could have been interesting!

Hi all

After yesterdays fun and games at the tribunal, I was totally wiped out with the heat so was not on last night.

Glad my spelling mistakes are not picked up much :-)
I find now my brain works faster than my fingers and I am forever missing letters out and have to read it all through first before I submit.

New profile pic me when I was about 3... I think.... Mum was useless at cutting fringes

Glad you are feeling better Grace

Ooh Jax, was just wondering how your cat goes on with the thunder?, wer'e in the devil of a storm here, and rehomed a cat at the weekend (she's an older 12yr old) at the moment she is under armchair fast asleep, cracking like crazy outside (seems I'm more frightened than her!)
Lol, now can't see your cat, but a nice replacement.

Chris :)

Hi Chris

My cat seems fine, storm has only just started where I am in Essex although my daughter in Cambrideshire had it a few hours ago.

My cat was'nt quite rescued...although she came from a home with three boys aged 2 - 5 four other cats and a Boxer dog...I t was the dog she did'nt like so she is very happy now just living here with us. Hope your cat will be happy with you now.

Not happy with the TV at the moment no Sky and keeps flicking and clicking :-(

Lol Jax, sun now trying to come out, and she's still asleep!, got her from Wood Green at Heydon, originally went in with 4 kittens and a stray mum, found hidden in conifers at end of ours and neighbours garden, had a walk round, and couldn't resist, apparently she was housed in a flat, and spent a lot of time on her own, bless her, don't think life here will be the same now, lol.

When I lived up that way we went to the Wood Green shelter at Godmanchester to find a dog as we had a pub, but they would'nt allow us to have a German Shepherd as we had a child under 7...so we ended up buying a puppy from elsewhere and she grew up to be useless as a guard dog ok with kids and burglars lol.

My cat was used to going out in her last home but we keep her in...As I very rarely go out she is never lonely for long.

Our other cat came from Godmanchester, had him for some time, but he died 3 yrs ago, and left quite an empty feel round here...
We sometimes take Mum for a 'Sunday ride' to Heydon, she has an ice cream and watches the rabbits, lol.

Must say she doesn't mind me being here on laptop, at other end of room, so that's a good start in my book, lol, daughter taking her to vet later for injection, I'll be having all doors wide open then!!.

Thats good then Chris

Mine is quite happy to sleep anywhere, the pic I had of her as my profile was actually taken the day we got her but she has not really been much of a lap cat since....but then I have always got my laptop on me so it is a bit difficult lol

Not been up that way for sometime now but the A505 was always full of rabbits at night...dont know if it is still like that?

Probably is Jax, a busy ol' road now, and to think at 10yrs I used to bike to Thriplow in school hols, along there, phew, you'd take your life in your hands now!, a long time ago that was!.

jax Report 28 Jun 2011 17:07

I know its busy Chris I'm only talking about 18 months ago...no I would'nt fancy cycling along there either. I know there was a problem with rabbits years ago in the area I lived but they just popped up again all of a sudden, even during the winter which I thought weired seeing rabbits by the side of the road at christmas.

A friend has just phoned and asked me something about crotcheting.....it was something I used to do pre laptop days.

Anyone else tried to explain how to introduce a new colour of wool.....over the phone???? Difficult I can tell you.

My hair desperately needs cutting and mum was all set to do it for me saturday....then I saw the photos and said "No its ok thanks" :-D

When I used to crochet, I'm sure I just tied a knot?...maybe thats not how you do it but I was self taught

I know call that hair over your forehead "bangs"

I have a bang that doesn't cover my full forehead, but sweeps to the right.

I have great diffculty explaining that when I have to go to a new hairdresser.

I don't crochet, but I do knit ............ we weave in the new end, and always at the end of the row.

Is that what you do in crocheting?
