Just checked my son's FB. He is doing the veg tonight - he's catering for 17 tomorrow!!!

Oh bless him....17, I did numbers like that a few years ago and its NOT easy, but the plus side is, seeing the happy faces, munching away :-D

I cant do the veg now as we have some people 'dropping' in!

I used to go to midnight mass once upon a time Cyns..so I understand about you not being happy that you can't attend..

my daughter, her husband, August and husband's mum went to Palmerston North yesterday afternoon 24th... this am got a call from daughter she is in A & E and is to be admitted into Palmie's Hospital... I thought she was joking, cause she was laughing... but no she is in hospital..... This is the third hospital since the 13th.... trying them all out :-S

Now we are just waiting to find out what is going on yet again..... :-S

Had Christmas lunch with eldest daughter and family.. all went off well.. OH sat in the lounge whilst we ate.. he had his optifast bar and a few lettuce leaves and a couple of strawberries :-)

Remember other side for your food Dea.... ;-)

(got the best thing here for Christmas I could have in my lovely Mum, she was diagnosed 6 wks ago with a tumour on lung, lump in neck, and 2 clots on lung, (all found on a CT scan) I was then told she only had 4/5 weeks to live, But she's still going strong at the moment, and I'm taking things a day at a time, putting on a brave smile here, while cooking all things festive today though, hoping nothing too exciting hasn't happened on GR in my little absences!, lol)

I have spent last two days in a mad rush but I am relaxing now. I did not manage Xmas cards though. Grand daughter is better today but my so has been sick all night. I am not cooking my turkey until the 27th when everyone is here. Roast lamb today..

Sorry to hear about those with ailments and worries. Not much fun.
One of the two work funerals has taken place but the other one is not until 7th January. It seems such a long time to wait.

Hi LK - Hope you enjoyed your Roast lamb !! - I had missed news that your grand-daughter was poorly - perhaps it was said on the 'other side' ??

Anyway, hope they will all be better soon! - It seems that almost everyone is poorly this Christmas - I am pleasantly surprised that I feel reasonably well !! ;-)

You enjoy your Christmas Dinner on the 27th - It does not matter when you have it as long as you are all abole to be together. <3

I am STUFFED !!! - My lunch was beautiful, even though I had not yet mastered my new meat thermometer so it got to a higher temperature than it should have done before I noticed. - Not TOO overcooked though thank goodness!

Must go and sort my kitchens now though - I think a 'bomb has hit' !! :-D :-D
