Renes Report 6 Jan 2012 17:55

My DIL asked sometime ago to do a look up for her -- I have the following written on my note pad

John Lennard c 1790 married on 27 Nov 1815 to c 1890 Elizabeth Taylor

then underneath I have written copy of married record is on Anccc and then

Edward Chapman Lennard 24 Mar 1820 - 1892

Needless to say I now cannot make head nor tail of non of it

So Help please

( I have a vague memory of seeing the actual Marriage Entry )

I am assuming that the 1820 note is a son ---- ( someone went to SA and eventually gave rise to my DIL )

I had a feeling I found the marriage in LMA

Thanks for looking

Not ignoring you...

I just hate the way the site is now... the pages do not refresh properly, i have to filter into date order each time the page refresh's and sometimes several times to get to the last post at the top....it used to stay that way all the time i was on the site a year ago.

It's all just a ball ache, i'm just being old and niggly i suppose.

I've not been on the site long enough to stay around for any convo that's started with me in it, so i figured it's easier not to say anything at all.... i do hope you understand? :-D

I'm here for the night now... have a bottle of Vodka to keep me company, and you lot to keep me entertained!

T x :-D

Aww Trace, have you been forced to make one of those "duty visits" - the sort where you're trying not to be seen looking at your watch to see if you can go yet.

Speaking of which, I went to visit two elderly aunties yesterday - never seen them for years. Had a lovely reminisce and left with the information I have a half-sibling somewhere in Cumbria!!

Well thats the Trace I remember, you were one of the first people who made me feel so welcome and safe here when I joined.........it used to be a vampires nest in some places!

Dea

Dea Report 6 Jan 2012 19:38

OOOhhh Tracy - You don't need the Vodka !!!

And as far as the 'ball ache' is concerned, I thought that we females could not suffer from that ??? :-D :-D :-D

Dea, in my job i need more balls than any man i know :-)

well... Gins has assured me she'll empty my 'bags' when they are 'full'...i have the liquid equivalant of Mt Everest next to me.... so she's gonna be busy!

Ahhhh, i just hate being ignorant and starting convo's i can't finish for not being here..... but i have a rare day off and not just a flying visit to occupy my time.

Soooo, let the gossip commence....

MC, a half sibling? ... i have no idea who's gonna help you unravel that one *whistles* i don't know anyone around here with genealogy skills...

:-D
