All sounds a bit scary to me.

Performing in a Dvorak opera is probably just a convenient cover story. Sylvia's OH is obviously a closet Goth. ;-)

I thought I'd have the veggie wrap but I will remove the roast peppers.. I like them but they don't like me.

If Gracie doesn't pop in she is okay... doing the work of two people plus the dreaded HW and looking after her lovely little daughter who now wants to be an acrobat or a lion rider.. so you can guess where she has been.

Any one live near Stafford who could check on obits.

My brother (as I found out from him in the late 80's) had two children, was divorced in the early 70's.

A long story but I finally tracked down my niece in the past couple of years and we were gradually building up a relationship via Facebook. I had not heard from her for 6 months and I thought that she wanted some time to reflect.

I didn't want to push the relationship if she was not willing to continue as I had no idea of the divorce situation.

In December I sent a message via FB to her husband and he had replied that she had undergone chemotherapy and was in very poor health.

We had a few messages back and forth with the last being a couple of weeks ago in which he said that the doctor had given her only had only 1-6 months.

Checking his FB wall today there are a couple of messages of sympathy leading me to believe she has passed away. I have sent him a message via FB (our only means of contact) but if my thoughts are correct he may not be checking FB.

Edit I have removed her name .... I will PM if anyone can help.

Thanks

Robert

Hope to go to a memorial this afternoon ................. for one of the volunteers at the Garden where I worked

She died last week, age 90 ................. was widowed in 1969.

she was acerbic, loud voiced, set people's backs up ............... but could also be very kind, and was someone you could trust to do a job prperly.

I got on with her very well .......... even though I was officially "in charge" of one of the aspects of work she did for the Garden

................ and she was the most wonderful photographer!

The Volunteer group (Friends of the Garden, or FOGs) gave me a framed copy of one of her photographs when I retired. It's a beautiful evocative shot of a sunny but misty morning in the Japanese garden.
