Not a very pleasant morning here and we wanted to get some stuff in the garage sorted out. I suppose we will be undercover though.... :-S


Thankfully, OH's back problem seems to be a thing of the past.........hopefully :-D

It's still snowing here ............. and the weather forecasters have just "amended" the forecast for today.

They originally said that "light snow will end about noon and be replaced by rain"

the new forecast ............

....... "heavy snow all day, stopping about nightfall, temperature staying at 0C, and accumulations of 10-30cm in the Metro area"


we've had about 2 cm in the last 1½ hours, for an accumulation so far of about 8.5 cm :-0




Apparently, the cold wind blowing out from the north east has not changed direction




Don't you like it when meteorologists have to apologise for their wrong forecasts?

Gins we left on Thursday morning got into Euston at 4pm and it took us an hour to get to the hotel where our friends were waiting for us.

We left the hotel at 8.20 am and got back at around 11pm at night then did it all over again the next day.

We had fun it was brilliant to catch up with everyone and I enjoyed the event also.

Not posted any photos as you know who beat me to it :-D

Sylvia good news about selling the cabin :-)

DIL sent me a text on Friday to say that when she went to get O up for nursery she at first thought she had been sick in her bed.

Turns out it was an abcess in her ear that had burst all over her bedding.

Poor wee soul no wonder she was complaining. She is back to her usual happy self now thank goodness :-D

I do wish you'd stop talking about that 'orrible white stuff Sylvs....we really don't want it over here so please keep it there. Thank you kindly!! ;-)


Have been busy what with one thing and another and tomorrow is probably busier still............ :-S


That abscess must have been so painful for her Linds....poor little thing. So glad she is better....and keeping you busy :-D

This was my first WDYTYA event so I cannot comment on any difference in the numbers attending. The tickets for some workshops did sell out.

We managed to get into all of the ones that we wanted to attend some were better than others.

We were told that the organisers have forgotten to book the hall for next year!

So looks like a change of venue is on the cards - speaking of which I hear they are coming to my neck of the woods in August!!!

The snow is supposed to stop overnight, and turn to rain

we had between 11 and 12 cm at the house :-)


The cabin sale has fallen through ........... the other realtor didn't do his due diligence, and find out that the potential buyers didn't have enough money. They were planning on getting a mortgage with 10% down payment ................. that's only available for principal residences, not recreational property :-)

Ohhh Linda - poor little 'O' must have been in agony with that abcess :-0 :-( :-( I am SO glad that she is getting better now !

Thanks for the lovely breakfast Sylvia - I will have the Full English please with double bacon. I really needed that this morning as I have been awake for most of the night 'coz hubby's knee is troubling him again !!! :-( :-( :-(

I think I will be going back to bed for a couple of hours as soon as he gets up ;-)

Some bugger closed the door on me, and i've been banging and banging every since..... you lot are 'orrible...... :-P

I mean, look at me.... i'm starving.... i could smell you all stuffing your faces EVERYDAY..... EVERYDAY.... OoooOooh i'll have this.... OOooooh i'll have that, not a single consideration for me stuck in that bloody cupboard Gins rarely opens.....

I mean.... well...... it's just rude......

So here's me, hacking away with a pair of nail clippers til i could make a hole big enough to get thru.... how was i suppose to know there was a bloody great picture nailed to the other side..... :-0
