Hi Ginny. I thought that as my question was related to my previous post that it would be correct to post it the way I did. The questions I am asking in the second posting are related to different people.

I was there before I saw your post here, Calharney -- saw the surname in the thread list on TTF ............

Another one with the dyslexia etc etc etc. (Got a PM)

How come so many people can turn on their computers, find their way to this website one day, create an account, pay for a sub, compose and post a thread of their very own ... or six or seven ... and then become incapable of anything further??

Perhaps someone else turned on the computer and created the account for them. I do this for others sometimes but always try to show them how to use the site before letting them loose.

Yeah -- I taught my mum to use the computer ... but we don't see her here smearing 27 threads about Ernest Hill/Monck around the board and then saying "well, I'm 80, you know". Oh, and "I have a tibial plateau fracture and the codeine is making me constipated." ;)

And I wasn't really saying nay ... you said you show people how to work it after you do that, I said I set my mum up the same way too and she didn't turn into a scourge.

But whatever, I don't know, how does this particular site manage to collect so many people with such low competence levels and so many ailments and distractions to carry on about??

Not that there's anything wrong with ailments and distractions, and not that I don't carry on about them summat myself. Just not by way of justification for breaking the rules.

Please, M'lord, you can't send me to jail for stealing that car, I have piles and my dog is sick and I had to pick my kids up from school and ... well, I forgot to take it back ...
