Cant say Im fussed over a bit of dust, I am very clean with the bathroom though and I do disinfect door handles most days....

.....dont forget we have an all men house and mostly men visitors...

I tend to do one thing a day in the kitchen...every morning while waiting for the kettle..sink one day...fridge another etc....

Dea think how much better you will feel once it is sorted and you will be able then to keep on top of it. I'm sure it's not as bad as you think.

I saw that Sylvia, she just don't get it. Even after your explanation on how labs work and Gwawr saying that there are different stories around.

I'm not hot on dusting but if I'm going upstairs always takes something with me and when coming down always bring something with me. If washing ain't in the appropriate basket it don't get done.

I have three floors to my house and a Hoover on each level. I have 2 bathrooms and 2 wet rooms, each with a set of cleaning materials. I have 2 kitchens, and 6 bedrooms.

MIL lives with me so she has the middle of the house and cleans 1 bathroom, 1 kitchen, 1 bedroom, and another bedroom which she uses as a living room.

Top of house, 1 wet room, 3 bedrooms, one being used as a den for teenagers which they clean with me standing over them.

Another ensuite bedroom on middle cleaned by moi

Ground floor living room, dining room ( being used as bedroom for OH) breakfast room, wet room and cloakroom, and kitchen, all cleaned by moi. I also do the hall and stairs. I just don't do them all on the same day.

Its always the women that make sure the loo is clean and its the men who squirt...

....that said...I make sure the men do most of the cleaning, JB does a better job than me and No 2 son...a fab job but not as good as JB but he does clean more often

...Im not complaining ;)

Me, I bring most of the money in and do most of the cooking..oh and most of the spending!

Good grief what a lot of housework ---------my OH would love all that cleaning --- I would have to have a "lady" I am afraid --- rather give up something else to pay for it

Gins you house is immaculate -----------JB does a good job

It used to be a guest house Jax. If my MIL didn't live with us I'd downsize to a bungalow, if only to stop OH collecting more rubbish:-)

TootyFruity Report 13 Mar 2011 21:00

Sylvia. The Fleming thread is still there, it's the ninth from the top

jax Report 13 Mar 2011 21:09

I'm sure P will be ok tomorrow but it does'nt stop you worrying Renes x

That explains it then Toots...HID used to travel over to the IOM with his grandfather many years ago, just as an excuse when grandfather was seeing a woman there who had a guest house who he later married by all accounts.

I like my Bungalow bigger than any two bedroom house I have ever lived in.

I think you just have to be positive Jax. P is going to be fine he has oodles and oodles of best wishes behind him:-)

I have to say I don't like doing the Manx heritage. I'm originally from St Helens and always thought I was the first to settle over here. My neighbour used to refer to me as a "come over" which most Manx people of a certain age did back in the seventies/eighties. Well imagine my surprise to discover that my 3xgreat grandmother came from Lezayre, IOM back in 1810 and married my 3xgreat grandfather in 1835. Deserted him by 1861 and jumped on a boat to the USA in Liverpool with 6 or her 8 children. She never remarried but census shows there was a certain lodger with her for quite a few years. My 3xgreat grandfather remarried bigamously a few years after she upped sticks. I don't like the manxbmd site so must make an effort and to go and search the records at the museum. Pity they are closed at the weekends.
