Thank you for your enquiry MC...
I have finished the course and it wasnt too bad,I do feel somewhat better and my tummy does not bloat as did before,so that to me makes it more than worthwhile to have put up with a few side effects for a week...
Starting to feel more like doing things now instead of forcing myself to do them..

I love Purple Morning Glory flowers..Must start on planting mine this week, but the greenhouse needs a good sort out first.
Runnerbeans to start off too amongst a host pof other stuff...Maybe on Weds once the other little jobs I need to do are out of the way ...

Oh, I'd love to have a proper greenhouse (I've just got those polythene ones) and space to do veggies.

Too right we are Ja...x..;:)

Mother asked me one day if I would like one of her greenhouses as she could no longer manage 2...Yes please I said...So she said ok,you can have the one with the smashed panes.!

It was taken down in small bits to fit in our little van and then it took me 2 days to work out how it went together again with no destructions..!
My builder friend built the base for it and when I went to put the ali on I realised he had made it 6 inches too short on the length....He had a red face in the pub when I told everyone what a fantastic greenhouse base builder he was..
But he did come back and fix the problem;)

I have earache.

And no, it isn't just because FBG's been whining away again.

Suffered since childhood, twice a year, great big antibiotics ... then I discovered prophylactic peroxide and have hardly ever had one since. I recommend that highly for anyone with the problem. (Another inheritance from my dad, "wet" ears. Apparently people with wet earwax are more prone to cancer. Fun fact of the day.)

But I've got an infection now. They say it comes with the change of season. Maybe I can blame daylight savings time.

What daylight have we got to save in the middle of March?!?

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 14 Mar 2011 14:01

I hope the earache really really hurts ....Nuh...

Just like when I had one and the doc burst my eardrum when trying to get all the wax out .Then I spent a week in hosp over my 21st birthday..

Me whine ..Huh.!

Is it the ear with the bifurcated lobe - not a pretty sight then! Shove some olive oil down it. I've read somewhere that you can put a hairdryer to an ear when it is aching....you don't need to do that when you get all that hot air from Fans.

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 14 Mar 2011 15:24

I've got some seeds I want to get planted. But I'm not going to name them here.

It is indeed the ear with the bifurcated lobe! I have no idea whether it could actually be called bifurcated. That just came to me. It's sort of double. My mother didn't notice it til I was a couple of days old and her younger brother visited in hospital (ah, the days when you didn't get sent home as soon as the kid came out) and pointed at my head and said "What's wrong with her ear?!?" Guess they didn't bother checking me over beyond the finger- and toe-counting. ;)

Anyhow, my niece has a lesser version of it, there's a vestigial point on the rim of the outer cartilege goes with it. Warlocks, methinks.

Doesn't anybody else have any congenital deformities?? I have double-jointed thumbs, too.

Use to do hot water bottles, remember them? But good as it feels, it isn't really good for. Peroxide is best, just a wee drop.

Almost burst an eardrum once. The housecall doc when I was visiting a beau in a small town said I had an outer ear infection. Well, he was wrong. When I went to my clinic when I got home I was mumbling while the doc was writing the prescription, and said ... when I flew home ... and she did one of those double takes, sat still with her pen in the air and said ... you did what?? well you're lucky your eardrum didn't burst. I didn't like the sound of that, but she couldn't offer any assurances it still wouldn't. It didn't though. FBG, ever had your ear vacuumed? That's fun. Not. But you can hear afterward. Peroxide. Prevents all that brouhaha.

You people who are planting things, I want some. No seeds I have ever planted have ever come to fruition. Well, except those ones. But that was No.1's baby.

My sister grew something once she should'nt and for some strange reason stuffed all the leaves in a suitcase.

When I moved in with her 10 years ago we decided to go on holiday, I had to explain to her.... NO it would not be a good idea to use that case to travel to Thailand

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 14 Mar 2011 15:49

Or from Thailand!

I think every suitcase I own ... and I own quite a few, for some weird reason, tended to collect old ones ... is not fit for international travel. ;)

RC -- the Canadian Deaf Sports Association?

I get it now. Well -- I have glaucoma, you know!

WARLOCK???I thought you were a WITCH..!

And yes,I have had my ears vacumed out,the implement was like those used by dentists to suck the spittle and water out of your mouth instead of leaving you there gagging...
Nice it was, much better than syringing..

Somebody on TTF just called Australia ... at 3:30 a.m. Surely they've noticed how this works at some point?? Oh well, my old Aussie pen pal once called me at 5 a.m., years after I'd last heard from her. And got miffed that I had no idea what was going on, who she was, why she was calling me ...
