He's got no reason to moan about anything Shelly, he's surrounded by a houseful of love.

I think Stephen is still waiting for his Internet to be connected. He was told it would be next Monday.

Mo in Kent Report 7 Sep 2010 18:53

Shelly, little man is growing so quickly. He's a lovely looking little boy.
He looks like he is quite tall as well, even though he is sitting down. His legs look long. Who does he get his good looks from. And now don't blow your own trumpet and say you. lol

Rita that was not a blue whale you saw love, it WAS me.

I am sitting here with my leg elevated, as my doctor is not sure if I have got a DVT. Had to have a blood test done today, and an injection in my stomach, and I have got to go for a scan on my leg tommorrow afternoon.
If it is a DVT, I have got to continue with the injections, and then go onto Warfarin to thin my blood.
The doctor is not sure, if the pain I am in, is due to the varicose veins being engorged with blood or not, hence the scan.
It never rains but it pours doesn't it.

Pauline $(*-*)$ Report 7 Sep 2010 19:05

Oh, that's a very painful thing Mo, my sister had a DVT 3 times before they put her on Warfarin. She was in a lot of pain with them and she was all black and blue with the injections.

Have you been on any long journeys lately? That's what always caused my sister to get DVTs.

What will they do about it if it's your varicose vein?

Mo in Kent

Mo in Kent Report 7 Sep 2010 19:15

Pauline, I have not been on any long journey's, apart from us lot going up to Scotland at the weekend.
And as for my veins, well I don't really know. I have already had them done three times. The first time when I was 21, after the birth of my eldest two daughters.
Even my doctor was surprised at that, as she is a fairly new addition to our practise, and had obviously not read that far back on my notes.
If the warfarin does thin my blood, and the blood flows through the veins as it should, I hope not to have another op done.
Not that I really want to go onto warfarin.

Rita Report 7 Sep 2010 19:23

Mo I had that in 1966 and they took me into hospital and did an operation on my leg.
It was very painful my leg was thrrobbing like mad so they operated.
Today they are very advance in what they can do. but I will laugh when they give you one of those elastic stockings. I had to wear one for 6 months. I felt like and old granny.

That is one reason when I am sitting I wriggle my ankles and toes to get the blood moving.,

No Mo that was not you it was a baby whale blue I wonder if it was cold. ?

I am getting myself ready now to watch some TV tonight. they have EastEnders on earlier and then Holby is on so I will watch that the guy from WDYTYA is in that.

wasnt little Olly lovely he has grown so quickly. lovely photo's

off now

Hi All,

Sorry to hear about your pins Mo, not nice is it !
Lets hope they sort it out soon.
Well that's you out for the next climb up Everest .

I'm full up....had too much to eat , made a pig of myself.

Jean are you OK ? still thinking about you .

Gosh we got a very poorly thread now......

Pauline $(*-*)$ Report 7 Sep 2010 19:35

That's it Mo, no more trips to Scotland for you.

It seems like Warfarin might be a good idea regardless of whether it's a DVT or a varicose vein. I hope they gave you some pain killers as well.

Rake those stockings out Rita and pass them on to Mo.

What did you have for dinner Marilyn? I haven't started mine yet, I've got sea trout. Going to have my bath first and then cook the trout, putting it on the oven with a honey and butter glaze.

Edit: Off for my bath now, catch you all later.

I have tried three times to type this out and it goes where I do not know.?

First I have had 7 Great spiders so far. so you can keep your Shelly thank you for offering it to me. ? I sppreciate that.
I also have a garden spiders web outside my window he has his meals all lined up lots of little flies. I have left him the window cleaner is due this week so he can demolish the web and get rid od the spider and flies.

Mo I went into The Wembley Cottage hospital in 1966 to have my operation and had to stay in there 10 days but thats a long story.

Jean I hope your feeling a liitle better today. I feel weak after all the blood they took yesterday no wonder they tell me I am lacking iron they wont let me eat the dark greens which I love.

I am sending this now incase it whooses away.
Rita.
