Afternoon everyone

Had a lovely time at the wedding reception, haven't seen my freind for some time so lovely to catch up,

Rita have you been telling those spiders to come round to my house! I've found 2, one in the living room and one in the kitchen sink, he went for an early bath lol

oh no it's raining, i'll have to run out and get my washing in

GRMarilyn Report 13 Sep 2010 15:35

I can honestly say I have not had ANY SPIDERS for the very first time in years,
now wonder why that is..........Maybe they are getting together and spying on me out to ALL come at once .......then I'll scream for Shelly so she can scream with me ..LOL

Just come back from gardening centre went to see if they had reduced some clematis as I want 4 of them , but no ,so I'll wait a few weeks in hope that they will be reduced, I always buy my plants this time of the year ( reduced ), I'm not tight or anything but, I do begrudge paying for plants that are nearly at the end of season & nearly dead .

Cup of tea anyone......(_)? (_)? (_)? (_)?

About time Stephen appeared [_] scotch for him .....

Rita Report 13 Sep 2010 15:50

Yvonne there are a lot fo them Spiders about at the moment. Marilyn thinks she is getting off scot free well she will be having them call I am sure of it. unless the dont like Devon for their holidays.? followed by the daddy long legs and field mice. she can hold a party for them. I will pass the word around up here and then tell them that spiders are going to have a rave up at Marilyns.

I really do not know where today had gone I keep looking at the clock to make sure i have read it correctly.

I did all my washing and it is all dried and put away. now I have to sort all my paperwork out for the Doctors and the Hospital for tomorrow I hate to leave things to the last minute as I might forget.

Hope it goes OK for you tomorrow Rita, I'll keep my fingers crossed that the results are good.

We haven't had any big spiders either Marilyn, but we've had a couple of those little jumpy spiders. I hate them, when I try to catch them they jump out of the way, and I can't see where they've gone.

Glad you enjoyed the wedding Yvonne, did you get drunk?

Now where has Stephen got to? He's supposed to be back today, he not still with that blonde with the short skirt is he?

while I am on I dont know if anyone can help but my friend did some shopping for me while I was ill and I asked her to get me bisto Granuals she brought me the old fashion powder instead I didnt like to tell. her .The thing is I have tried making gravy with it and I am not being very succeful it ends up in lumps. it works when I do roast in the oven with the hot fat in the pan but not when I do it without that cooked fat. It came out all lumpy. I should be use to making it with powder we had nothing else when I was growing up and when I got married in 1951. so where am I going wrong ?

Marilyn the wool you were telling Mo about was it baby Wool. ?

GRMarilyn Report 13 Sep 2010 19:12

Rita,

Did you use a hand whisk ? that would get rid of lumps .

The wool looked like 3ply and had all colours pale as well as dark.

I feel sure that it could make baby cardies ...

Hello. I do hope I have the right thread for this message.
I'm Susan, Jean's daughter.
The news from Christies today wasn't good, the cancer
in Mum's back is still avtive and has grown bigger, she
isn't feeling too well at the moment so has gone to bed.
She said she will come on tomorrow and speak to you all.
Am going to do the birthday thread now.

Mum sends love to you all.
Susan.

Oh Susan.

I'm so sorry......poor Jean.

What can I say to such a lovely lady, only to keep her spirits up and tell her we are all thinking of her and saying our prayers ....

Tell her to come on only when she feels like it rather than make it a duty we all understand...

Lots of hug's for her ......xxxxx

I enjoyed(if that is the right word) tonight's WDYTYA. A few surprises there eh? Interesting at the begining as hubby's uncle was a despatch rider in WW11 too.

Need to think that one through as it was quite a shocking one really.

Oh my word Linda, his grandfather was playing Russian Roulette.
How upsetting that must have been for him to find that out. Up till that point all the news was good for him, about his grandfathers bravery etc.

Good luck for tommorrow Rita, I will be thinking of you love.

Oh no, that's awful news about Jean, poor soul - she's been through such a lot and then to be told it's actually worse. I don't know what to say, I feel so sad for her.

Jean pet, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thank you Susan for letting us know, it must be very hard for you.

Rita, good luck for tomorrow, we'll all be thinking of you. We need some good news, hope you come back with some.
