I don't know how to jive but Rita told me ages ago that she would teach me, I'd love to be able to do it.
I've never been to the Ritz but I've just googled it and it's definitely my choice. Have you seen 'The Royal Suite'? And I'd like to see The Jersey Boys, that would be great.
I can make a skirt with loads of layers of net underneath and my hair easily goes into a ponytail.
My favourite meal is lobster, don't need anything with it except freshly baked wholemeal bread.........and butter of course.
My favourite dessert is tiramisu made with Bailey's Irish Cream.
I love wine but can't drink anything strong so I always have White Zinfandel.
That's me sorted, Rita's having lamb or chicken with fruit and cream for afters. What are the rest of you having?

Rita, I love that song that you had for your husband, Michael Bolton has a great voice.
Don't think we'll need your slang book at the Ritz Marilyn.
Stephen, I like Boris - he's a complete nutter, wonder if he can jive.
Can you jive Mo?
You'd better hurry up and get rid of that cough Linda, you won't be able to dance properly if you're coughing all the time.
Shelly doesn't drink so we'll have to get her a bottle of pop with her dinner. Don't think Rita drinks either.
OK Marilyn, you can have Stephen as your partner, his lime green socks will match your skirt.

well I have been to the Old Lyons corner house for dinner and tea when I worked in Oxford Street. Lol The last time I passed the Ritz it was quite dirty looking on the outside they had door men on as they do the Hilton and Park Lane Hotel.my sister spent the night at the Hilton Hotel before they flew off to Italy .on their honeymoon. Park Lane had lots of workmen about doing the hotels up I think they are doing all the hotels up ready for the visitors for the Olympics..
The Care Lady who took me to the Hospital on Tuesday told me she was going to Harrods for Tea. a friend of her husbands gave her husband tickets for his birthday. she said she was looking forward to it.
Pauline anyone can jive and do the twist my favourite that is. your be fine. Lol. we are going to live it up girls. cannot wait

Well whats going on here then. Marilyn oooh you are a little fibber, if I can jive, you certainly can, as you are just a lickle bit older than me. Hmmm I wonder whose birthday is soon, and she will be older than me still, for a few weeks more. LOL Don't worry about the expence of our meal out, as Stephen has volunteered to pay for us all. Now if we did have to pay, it would definately have been a Mc D's all round. It's been another busy day here, we have had four visitors, and the kettle has been on the go nearly all day. I don't want another cup of tea for hours to come, as I am beginning to look like a tea leaf. ( No Shelly not that kind of tea leaf. ) LOL
I hope that Jean is o.k, sending you love Jean mwah.
Rita, we can still shake a rug can't we love. I wonder if Stephen can manage to jive with two partners. We used to have great fun doing that. Many a time we ended up on the floor in fits of laughter, where we had gone wrong.

Mo I am not too sure about shaking a leg mine will fall off I think if I shook it. I can still wriggle my bum just.
I went for a walk this morning then came back made an apple pie and a small chicken pie for my dinner then repotted three plants and it nearly killed me I was as red as a beetroot and was so hot I had to sit and rest before I finished doing them.
I watched the Pope arrive and wonder if my cousin in Glasgow was among the crowd.
I hope jean is resting .and feeling a little better. ?
Love Rita

Oh what a cheeky madam Marilyn, I don't need new glasses. Tell her of will you Rita, she's picking on me, sob sob. Doing the twist can be a bit of a problem though, the arthritus in the spine is a right beggar of a nuisance. It's somebody's birthday on Monday, now I wonder who's it is.

OK now for a memory test!
What Rock n Roll groups or singers do you remember?
My GRAN (lol) told me about Bill Hayley and the Comets and also Little Richard.
Any others?
We are getting a few suggestions for location and what you would like for dinner. We can short list them nearer the time.
I agree to dance with each of you as long as you promise not to throw me over your backs or slide me along the floor. I don't want to damage my Teddy Boy suit or Blue Suede Shoes. Ooops. Nearly forgot....don't want to upset my hairstyle or spread the Brylcream all over the place. The hair will be sleaked back into a DA style.....Anyone remember that?
Keep on Dancin Stephen

Early Cuppa anyone?
I've already been outside....lovely bright stars still shining but fading a bit as dawn arrives. Magic. I love the winter sky at night when it's clear. The stars seem to go on forever. Surely we can't be the only ones in this vast Universe? Shelly...you CAN dance...if I can shuffle around on the floor then I'm sure you can. You and I should get together and practice a bit. We will just need to watch our expert Twisters and Jivers and follow what they do. Remember Shelly....I'm going to dress as a Teddy Boy...you will need to dress as a Teddy Girl. You will also need to have bright green socks to match mine. What a sight we'll be London won't know what's hit them!
Keep Jivin.
Have a good day ya all!
Stephen
PS Nearly forgot...what Nationality of handsome waiters do you like? No one has mentioned them yet.

Morning Stephen, I beat you to it, have been up all night and outside several times to see if my hedgehog which has returned from last year, (or might be a new one, hedgehogs all look the same to me lol) had eaten what I put out. It's just starting to get light here in Norwich but the grass is very wet and it's a bit fresh out there. The other night the hedgehog came and ate some bread and peanuts and then I spotted a little mouse taking a nut and dashing off with it, had this last year with four hedgehogs, all different sizes and then a mouse taking nuts while the hedgehog was at the feeding dish. Am hoping more hedgehogs come as the weather gets colder, I like to try and build them up to last the winter and was lucky enough to get two big bags of peanuts, the 4 lb bags when our local supermarket closed down in July. We will have a nice new Morrisons opening on Monday - my o.h. will be pleased as he likes to go each day and pick up things for his pack up for work. He couldn't get the hang of buying several days worth at once, so I had to remember to keep the fridge well stocked and the bread bin full of rolls and such.
Night all I am off to bed lol take care Lizxxx

Morning All Boy Stephen and Liz are like ships that pass in the night.
The concert last night was great. Older men who played and sung their hearts out. Shame there was such a small audience in the theatre. Their Queen tribute was amazing and had everyone joining in.
Oh well my holiday cover finishes today. The twins are at nursery, I'll pick them up to have lunch here then Mum will collect them at 2:30. It's been fun but I couldn't do it full time.
Nice bright morning so I guess it's time for some more washing. Hubby went to work at 5;00 he'll be home around 3:30.
Catch you later
Linda :o) XxX
