I rather enjoyed the film 'Shaving Ryans Privates'

Bit long but the story was fine.

The decision not to have all the sons from a family in combat came about because a family of boys called the Sullivans had all joined the Navy and were assigned to the same ship. It was sunk and they all died.

Stephen I read the story of the Sullivans the brothers went to save each other. they lived in a poor part of USA. I have the DVD of that my son brought it for me for a present.he is always buying me DVD;s I have saving private Rhyan as well.
Not sure if Mo told you Marilyn but Cole and Michelle was out of tonights strickly. Ann and Anton are still in.

Now I had to wink at the officer to let me in as they are very strict out here, I'd be worried about Shelly getting passed she might have them C's in her case to flog out here and the law says NO flogging C's here ..LOL

Pauline i have had cause to say what John was in it was only Stephen mentioning services.. He use to teach the men shooting at one time .
The he had to pass a lot of army tests. handgranade throwing rifles and gun etc and got high passes on them all Then he was told to do the sniping. I have his army books all his army records and one had all the tests listed along with the date he did them ,and the passes he got.he never failed any of them.
He did get shot in the leg once just above his ankle. it never really healed. it was always getting knocked when he played football and that use to open it up.,but it did not stop him riding motor cycles we had so many.in out time..

Immigration.......nae problem.

I'll lift up my kilt and flash them............ a big wad of notes.

Also DAME Shelly should be able to pull a few strings.

If she flashes her sons C- Card they will think it means Covert....and let us in.

you will see a bunny on the beach in Caister on Sea in Norfolk the beaches have grass lands and Dune I use to walk my dog along the top next to the Dunes and watch the rabbits playing about.. then Mixamtosia came and they had to gas and shoot them. it was a terrible sight to see the little bunnies with eye hanging out.they were better off dead.
we had littel bats as well along the dune bushes at night they use to fly out very small they were..

Did I tell you before not sure? Last night I went to bed at 11.45 I was so tired I was in a deep sleep I suddenly woke and there was flashing lights coming through my windows and I heard a lot of shouting going on. I staggered out of bed and went to the flat door. near my door is a cupboard where all the telpehone and emergency calls go to and from. There was a lady standing there with a bill board in her hand and a pen and someone was in the cupboard I could hear her speaking but her and the one on the other end of the phone was talking loudly. I went back to bed.then the bell started to go and lights started flashing again. when I looked out the window it was an ambulance I am still t rying to find out who went into hospital..
I will know tomorrow.

Have.nt the Americans got that new passport where you show you finger prints , I am not sure ?but I seem to remember my sister having to do something like that, omce she has no problem now she married an American and lived in New York for 11 years her three children were all born in new York and my sister gets a vetrans pension so can go when she likes without having to explain why she is there.her eldest son still lives in American.

Rita we all have to give our finger prints at the immigration control and have a photo taken, but passports are needed BIG time.

They always question us as to why we are coming in the USA *Work Or Pleasure *they ask .....now do I look as though I need to go back to work ??? LOL

Always ask Pete his last occupation.....then they smile and let us in .

Mind you we have been so many times to USA it does look fishy to some of them ..

I thought she did tell me that. ? she has her passport.it is full of the orignal stamps of where she has been over the years. she often came home for a short holiday on the Queen Mary ship. she found that relaxing. it was no fun flying with three young children.
She still goes over twice a year to see Martin. There never ask her why she is over there?. I dont know whether her passport is stamped showing her husband was in the American Airforce.. but she gets a vertrans pension payable every month
