Mel Fairy Godmother Report 13 Feb 2015 14:28

We've had more rain now.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 13 Feb 2015 14:35

Postman came before lunch with another two cards and two parcels for me.

Gill that sounds a funny kind of deal to me and I have never heard of anything like it before.

Maureen

Maureen Report 13 Feb 2015 14:39

You're right Ann, kids today have a much more varied choice of food, don't think I even tasted Chinese until I was about 20.

I am enjoying Wolf Hall, when I saw it advertised I thought oh no not another Henry VIII drama but it seems much more authentic and it's based more on Thomas Cromwell than Henry, very good acting. I wonder there's anybody left in Midsummer with at least one murdered every week :-(

I watched a really interesting and funny programme called The Private Lives of 4 year olds. It was a real eye opener on how 4 year olds deal with starting nursery and how they interact with other children they've never met before.

Don't think I'd be much good at chopping wood Jane, have tried using an axe before, I can whack it in okay but then can't get it out LOL

Snap Jane, I had a hair cut yesterday too, a bit shorter than I normally go, keep looking in the mirror not sure if it's too short, I dare say my girls will tell me if it is.

Fingers crossed for Katherine Fiona, job sounds right up her street. Hope you get the problem with your nose sorted.

Carpet man coming tomorrow so I will probably move back in to my bedroom Sunday, will wait until it's down before I buy a new shade and lamp.

We will all get the pleasure of your birthday present Mel <3

Wise choice to stay home today Frank, you've probably got the same weather as me, cold, wet and windy.

Hope you are feeling better today Gill, sounds like you might be better off staying put but it might be wise to seek professional advice on the matter of the deeds.

Frank

Frank Report 13 Feb 2015 17:51

I have been dozing in the armchair most of the afternoon, (feeling sorry for myself) :-( :-( Still coughing and sneezing. I was going to take something for it, but not sure if it will affect my meds.

Ros is cooking herself a lamb shank and roasted vegetables. I am not hungry, so might have a bowl of soup later this evening.

Did you get the car sorted alright Jane ?? Hope there's not a problem.

Fiona, I do feel for you, with these cold sores, they make your lips so sore don't they. To have them in the summer as well must be a right pain in the backside. Use plenty of cream to try to keep them moist. <3 <3

Yes Mel/Maureen, It turned very windy and wet late morning, and was just starting to look decent out there when it started getting dark !!

I bet you will be glad to get back into your bedroom Maureen. You will have the smell of new carpets to get use to now !!

Gill I have sent you a PM

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 13 Feb 2015 18:22

Rained again this afternoon. Frank the only thing you can take is paracetamol.

I always find that if my lips keep getting sore and dried out ........blast I have forgotten what its called..........very senior moment :-| :-| :-| :-| :-|

Hmmm just looked at it in the draw and its Valderma cream. I squeezed it out a bit but it has gone off!!!!!! It should be white but it is now a putty colour............ :-( I hope they still make it.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 13 Feb 2015 18:27

Won't know where you are in that new bedroom Maureen. Bet your looking forward to getting back in there now.

Roast chicken for us tonight with tenderstream brocc and I may do sliced pots in a garlic and cheese sauce.

We watched a deer walk across the garden this afternoon and it was a doe. Oh went out for a ciggy to see it go into the orchard and tapped on the window and there was a stag who had appeared in the orchard too. He followed her across the grass and it started to rain quite hard and they strolled off over the bank and under the laurel hedge. Then oh saw another one over the back field so thats three we have seen today.

I was going to watch that program about the four year ods Maureen.

Annx Report 13 Feb 2015 19:09

Evening All,

Sorry you are too unwell to do any viewings Gill. Hopefully you will soon feel better. It sounds like your old mortgage account is still open in case you need another mortgage in future and with Michelle still on it, otherwise I would have thought she would have no stake in the bungalow (legally) for anyone to come after? When I split with my ex, he was removed from the title deeds and mortgage and I took over the existing mortgage. We were married, but there was no question of him or anyone he might owe money to in the future having any claim on the house. I think I would try asking for a second opinion elsewhere. Your daughter needs to be very careful what financial arrangements she goes into with anyone who has debts. These things can become a nightmare if things go wrong. That's good news about your mum. She must be so pleased. I have only sold a few bits of jewellery Gill at an exhibition. I have plenty to wear now though! lol.

Hope you soon feel better Fiona, these things can get you down after a while. I have always had trouble breathing easily through my nose, and even without a cold I often wake up with my tongue bone dry. I have a real dread of someone slapping duck tape across my mouth in a break in as I'm not sure I would be able to breathe!!

Maureen I watched that prog about the 4 year olds and thought it was a real eye opener too. You could really see what might be their grown up characters in how they behaved with each other. I loved the little girl who told the one who wouldn't sing that she was just a bit shy and to hold her hand and copy her!! I bet it will be good to get back in your bedroom on Sunday with it all fresh and new. Yes, Midsomer must have a steady stream of new people moving in!! lol

There weren't many of us at class today, all poorly like Frank and Fiona!! One lady who did come is on a medication that means she can hardly manage to get her words out. The poor thing has the most dreadful stutter now so that we struggled to follow anything she said. Luckily she is the kind who can laugh at herself and wasn't at all embarrassed with us. I asked her if her dog was confused!! :-D OH collected me from class today and we went to a garden centre for lunch. It's not one we often go to as it's about 12 miles away. I don't think we'll be going again either despite it being 2 mains for £10. We both had the pork chop and it came with a few peas, some apricot and apple chutney and a small pattie of potato (which I ate as there wasn't much without it!). No gravy at all so it was a bit dry. I had pancakes after, but they were 2 of the smallest thinnest ones I've seen.

That must have been lovely seeing the deer Mel. OH has told me to get myself a Dremel I was looking at on the telly this week. He said it was for saving him so much on his car :-)

Yes, I wonder if Jane got her tracking sorted ok on her car?

That's something else I've never had, a cold sore. I remember being told you shouldn't kiss someone with a cold sore Frank!! ;-) Lol.

Frank

Frank Report 13 Feb 2015 20:24

What's a KISS Ann, ??? A peck on the cheek is all I ever get these days ;-) ;-) ;-)

Deer oh deer oh deer Mel, That's suppose to be funny.

:-D :-D :-D It must be lovely having them around the orchard. Lets hope a baby appears later in the year <3 <3

Ros couldn't eat all the lamb shank and veg, so I had a bit. Couldn't taste much, but at least I have something in my tummy.

I have been good so far this evening, sitting through the soaps, but after an hour I am bored.

Will have a look round ebay for a while, then I think an early night is the order of the day

See you in the morning.

Jane

Jane Report 13 Feb 2015 21:06

Evening All
Yes the car is sorted now(fingers crossed :-D).Chris dropped me off to collect it on the way back from Market Harborough ..We had a smashing lunch. You never guess who was there.......Fitz and a friend lol

Gill what a nightmare you have :-S..I do hope you can get some advice as others have suggested.I hope Michelle is going to be sensible and not get hitched to someone with debt up to the eyeballs.I hope she realises what trouble it will cause you all should she get into a lot of debt in the next 5 years.
I'm sorry you are still feeling so ill. It's dragging on isn't it.So many people are laid up with all sorts of bugs at the moment.
On the News they were saying about a school where half the pupils are off with the Norovirus :-S :-S

How lovely to see the 3 Deer Mel.I feel quite jealous.

Maureen that was my problem with the Axe.It just got stuck in the log :-|..Chris did tell me that I had used the wrong one and should have had the big one.I doubt if I could have lifted that one lol

The sandman has arrived and I can barely keep my peepers open.It must be all these early mornings catching up with me...Mind you Chris is the same this evening.

Hannah says she thinks she is the only English person on the course.it is all pretty intensive and she is exhausted. She just has tomorrow morning to attend and then she flies home later in the afternoon. At least she thinks that the course will have been well worth going to...So it should, going all that way for such a short time.

I have a Valentine card in the drawer I need to write. But Chris is wandering about :-S
I might have to write it in the bathroom !!
My Dad got in trouble one year from Mum when she discovered he had sent the same Valentine s Card that he gave her to all the ladies in their group of friends .I think it was the fact that she had had the same and not a 'special' one LOL..I don't think he did it again.Bless him <3

Tomorrow will be 10 years since I lost my dear Mum :-(

James is off to the station to pick Jess up.They are going to Cambridge for the day tomorrow.

I thought the Secret life of 4 year olds was just so lovely :-D

Now I really am going to bed.....Night Night.x

Annx

Annx Report 13 Feb 2015 23:24

Jane that is the trouble once they retire...........you can't get cards written so easily!! I find it hard to find nice cards for hubby as well. If you find a nice design there's the shortest message or it's covered in beer glasses or golf clubs!! I can't say I'm surprised you saw Fitz, it seems to be one of his haunts!!! :-D

I bet Mel is wondering what her surprises will be tomorrow. ;-)

Gillx

Gillx Report 13 Feb 2015 23:30

Been looking on the internet to see if anyone else is in a similar position to us, but with no success. We did get legal advice which is why we got the insurance, but unfortunately it doesn't cover us, only the new buyers. So all we can do if we don't go ahead with selling this place, is hope Michelle doesn't do anything silly which could cost us our home. She has said that she wouldn't put us in that position, but sometimes these things happen.

I'm off to bed now. I'm starting to feel a bit better but still have a cough and blocked nose. Hopefully I'll be able to sleep a bit better tonight.
See you all tomorrow. <3

It is a grey old morning here with a slight mistiness .I don't think I am going out anywhere today.I need to sort Hannah's room and change the bedding ready fro Janice and Larry who are coming on Friday.

I hope Frank,Gill and Fiona are all feeling a bit better today <3

Frank

Frank Report 14 Feb 2015 10:37

Morning all, Evening Kim,

Still bunged up to the eyeballs, and sweating like a pig.

I won't be able to go to the pub at lunchtime to see WEST HAM, so Ros, when she gets back from shopping will have to sit through the match at home or find something to do.

Fancy you not being able to handle the "BIG CHOPPER" Jane ;-) ;-) ;-) Did all the logs get put away before the rain yesterday??

Gill, to be honest I have never heard of anyone being in your situation. I do believe you should go the CAB to get a bit of FREE legal advise on this matter. I think that once your daughter has been removed from the deeds. THAT CLOSES THE MATTER FOR GOOD. I tried to put this in the PM I sent yesterday.

A bit of bright sky first thing, now it's gone dull and cloudy.

There has been a nasty accident on the M 40 also the M1 Sounded really dad from what they said on the news. Hope the M 1 is all clear when Ros goes to pick up Lewis. I was thinking of booking a table at our nice Chinese, but feeling like I do, I think a TAKEAWAY will be the best thing.

Hope you all have a NICE DAY

Morning all and evening Kim,

Suns out and it is a lovely day. Thanks to you all for your cards and wishes. I had 14 cards to open this morning and two boxes of chocs from my friend Di and my SIL.
Cards are all lined up on the windowsill except oh's as it is to big. It is a pic of the Robby who fed from my hand and there's snow behind in the background so it must be my original Robby who came when I called him and used to visit the kitchen and eat the crumbs off the floor. Also I had a mug with his pic on too.

I hope these colds you all seem to have get better soon. It is so miserable to have sore noses and lips as you use these things all the time so there's no getting away from it.

Enjoy the match on the telly Frank and stay in the warm.

Jane Report 14 Feb 2015 11:27

Mel that was a lovely thing to have .The mug with Robbie on :-D..Ah I remember how tame he was feeding from your hand like that.

Frank,a takeaway sounds just the thing. You can't go out like you are.A nice quiet morning until Ros gets back with Lewis.

There was me saying I wasn't going out anywhere.Chris wants the Guardian and he is in his gardening togs so it will have to be me.How can I refuse though after getting a lovely bouquet of flowers this morning :-D.it's very pretty with Spring flowers :-D

Afternoon All

<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 Happy Birthday Mel <3 <3 <3 <3 :-D

Just got back from Food shopping. not needing a lot this week, OH picks up anything that we might be running short of when he's finished work,

His shifts have changed cos he is now working for the Home Shopping Team, it has been hinted they may offer him the job of a supervisor. because he has no problem doing anything they ask , he just gets on with it, and he can stay late in the day as there is no family needing to be sorted out, which a lot of the female staff have issues with.
Anyway his shifts are 6am. which he has no problems with he always was an early riser and suppose to finish at 2pm, but if he hasn't finished the job he stays on till he has, usually gets home about 4.30pm. he will be off every Sat and on every sunday, lucky that Jake & Katherine have their new car now , so Jake said if he can , he will take me to church after he has taken Katherine to the station for work.

I AM SO SORRY MEL <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

I don't know how I forgot it, I thought about it when I woke up !!!

Have had a shower, couldn't be bothered to shave, back in my dressing gown. I might get dressed later, if not I will stay as I am LIKE IT OR LUMP IT.

Rain in the air, as it's on the windows, so not looking a nice day.

How lovely to have "ROBBIE" on a card and a MUG. You will never be able to forget him while you have that.

For fathers day last year. Conrad gave me a mug with various photo's printed on, including West Ham, photo's of our Round the World trip and our cruise. It sits in the cabinet, I would hate for it to get broken.

See you all later, COME ON THE HAMMERS

Jane Report 14 Feb 2015 12:32

Fiona I meant to say yesterday .I wish Katherine Good Luck for her interview .I really hope she gets the position <3

LOL Frank The Big Chopper.I nearly posted my answer to that but it would have been a bit too rude on the boards ;-)

I have been out and got the paper and some extra veg.it is very busy on the roads and there are lots of men with Bunches of flowers :-D
Now I had better get the next lot of washing in.It's all go.
