Well dinner is over, and even though I say it myself it was Lovely. Ros even cleared her plate. !!
I am not going to Kettering tomorrow. This B####y cold is back. I am sweating like a pig one minute then cold. My top lip has broken out in another cold sore.
I rang my friend, and he quite understood, and will pass on my good wishes to all friends and family.
Ros always goes to the eastern Europeans for her car cleaning. They do an excellent job for a FIVER. Not worth me getting the bucket out for that. !!!
Jane, It's been a few months since we have seen him, so no doubt he has changed, being a YOUNG MAN now :-D :-D :-D I bet he will still want a cuddle with his NAN. <3 <3 <3
Spoke with Carolyn in Tenerife. The weather hasn't been good out there with rain and dull days. So I am pleased we never made the effort to go out there.
These Children are all the same, I remember when I use to supply cars to the boys (only oldish part exchanges) but there was always empty Mc D and cans lying around the floor. Old shoes and cloths on the back seat.. I threatened them, but it was like water off a ducks back.
Glad you are sorted now Mandy. Nothing nicer than getting back to normal.
Feet up now, see you later.

Afternoon All,
Yes the flowers with a car were a nice touch Frank and much appreciated. :-) People remember those things. I bet Lewis is getting more grown up now....is he taller than you yet? Your surgery was very busy this morning if it was standing room only.
I've lived in bungalows so long I'd forgotten about warm chimney breasts upstairs in bedrooms. It will be good to get back to your usual bedroom Mandy, you should get a better night's sleep again.
I bought a bag of lavender for the bedroom while I was out yesterday and put it on the narrow shelf above the pillows last night. It smelled very strong. I didn't think it was that but I woke up with a headache this morning and blow me when I looked it up it said it can in fact cause headaches. I'm moving it to the windowsill tonight just in case!
Oh Jane you'd have thought James would have cleaned the car out a bit knowing his dad would be taking it today! It's not surprising Chris blew up at seeing his old car looking like that when he kept it so well himself. My sister's car always looks like a tip inside, stuff everywhere. Sometimes there isn't even room to step in it without treading on something. :-S lol.

Frank .They will know your thoughts will be with them tomorrow. It sounds sensible not to go .You don't want to be passing your bugs on to anyone. Just had a call from the log people....They can deliver the logs anytime from 6.30 am !!!!!.....Now that it is TOO EARLY ....So it will be 8 o'clock....that is still early lol.We just need to move the cars around tonight so the logs can be tipped in the right place.
Dinner is nearly ready.I am feeling a bit starvin' marvin'
Just had another phone call from the tree surgeon. He will be here about 10.30 tomorrow to give a quote for the big Fir Tree to be cut back.So after the logs ,the Tree Surgeon ,dropping the car off at the garage it will be a relief to hopefully have a nice relaxing lunch out :-D

Done the bit of shopping and brought fish and chips in so dinner is now out of the way.
I was given two choices for my birthday present, a new pc screen or the camera so I chose the later as I can get on ok with the screen I have. Oh said if he buys me a new one he can have a good look at the other one and see if he can get it going again and it dos'nt matter if he mucks it up.

That's a great pressie Mel......you will be able to see more of the hogs with it this year.
Wise decision Frank with you not being well again. You don't want to be standing about in the cold or spreading your cold around.
Can you burn the fir tree on your log burner Jane? I hope you have a nice meal tomorrow and suss out the good things on the menu. ;-)
I don't believe it!!! I've had SIX emails about PPI claims today!! Since I had all that trouble when they blocked my credit card I've started getting debt management companies sending me emails most days as well. They are all a flippin nuisance and clog up your inbox!!

The fur tree would have to be dried out for a year and if you put it on the wood burner it will spit like anything so you have to be carefull. It burns very quickly too because of the resin in the wood which can also bung up the flue with tarry soot which could catch fire.

Ann the menu will be different for March :-D.I have had a look for the menu tomorrow and think I have decided what I will have :-D I have just sent a message to someone who has the same name as Chris's Mother on her tree on GR !!!! Still trying to find her birth LOL.It would be great if it is the right person :-D..But I am not holding my breath. No we can't burn anything from the fir tree on the burner .I know there is a reason why but not sure how to explain it lol. How annoying getting all those PPI emails :-S :-S.is there a box you can click on so they don't contact you again? Like the unsubscribe thing?
Chris has gone to bed (he will be up for the logs :-D).I think James might have gone too .So I am left to lock up and turn everything off. Hannah has arrived safely in Bamberg :-D

Yes I've kept unsubscribing them all, but it takes a few days before they stop so I expect there will be more to come! Then of course you forget which ones you've 'unsubscribed'. lol. Oh yes, I forgot they change the menu every month! :-)
I forgot the Fir tree is a conifer........memories of massive blazes at my old house when OH had huge bonfires with the conifer hedge clippings!! :-0
That was a good answer to a nuisance call Mel!! lol. :-D

Morning/Evening All
I am an early bird again this morning. Not as bad as yesterday though.I'm just having my first cuppa.
Mel I have just see the weather and it looks like you will be waking to a lot of rain :-S I think it may get here this afternoon.Hopefully it will hold off until then so we can get all the logs put away.It wouldn't be nice doing that in pouring rain.
Frank I hope you had a better night last night and feel a bit more human today. Also that your new cold sore isn't going to be too painful..That is something I have never suffered from.My Sister used to get them quite often and said how very painful they were.
I can hear activity on the window feeder so the birds are just waking up :-D

Morning All, Evening Kim
I have been feeling a bit rough cos of my nose, it is continually full of dried blood, especially when I wake up in the morning, got an app at the drs for Tuesday , hopefully he will have a straightforward answer and I won't have to go through a list of things to do until he finds what's wrong. It is so stuffy and clogged like having a scab in your nose, I went to the chemist but the pharmacist wouldn't give me anything as it might irritate the problem.
Katherine & Jake are picking up a new car today, the other one which was over 10 years old at least gave them 6 months of driving then packed in, they knew it was old, a mate of Jakes who owns a garage is giving them £100 for the old one for scrap. hopefully this new car is not as old and should last a LOT longer.
Katherine has an interview in Debenhams in Glasgow on Monday for a manager's position in one of the concession departments in high fashion, this is exactly what she wants, if she gets the job it will be brilliant, this is what she studied at University for .
Better go expecting Victoria down with Matteo about 9.15ish , she is off to her curves class. we will have fun again with the bricks :-D :-D

Morning all and evening Kim,
It rained a bit last night before I went to bed. This morning we have a bit of sunshine at the mo. Blue sky with white clouds.
Hope your feeling better this morning Frank and that the cold sore is healing now making you more comfortable.
Fiona thats horrid for you. The last cold I had the same problem a bit. Every time I blew my nose there was blood on the hankie and then your nose feels tight after when it dries.
I have a nice pile of cards waiting to be opened tomorrow and one is heavyish with something inside it.
It may take a while for the camera to come but it is ordered so I think I shall have to wait about a month but it will be worth it.
Did you get the logs in ok Jane or was it raining?? :-(

Yes Mel the logs are all in now.Chris wasn't that impressed with them as lots are not shaped easy for stacking.Moan moan moan :-D The tree surgeon is here now and then we will be off for lunch.
Fiona your poor nose sounds so sore.It must be very tempting to have a pick or give it a good blow. But I suppose that is not the best thing to do as that would make it bleed each time.It is a horrible feeling not having a clear nose.I bet Tuesday can't get here quick enough for you.
Well the Tree chap has gone .He will sent a quote.I better get myself ready now .So see you all later.

Hi all
Sorry to hear your not well again Frank, hope you feel better soon. I've had to cancel the viewing for tomorrow. I feel terrible with this bug I have, there's no way I would be able to do the viewing and OH is on 12 hour shifts for the next three days. I spent most of yesterday in bed I felt so bad.
Sorry I haven't sent any birthday cards to anyone but I don't know all your birthdays. I only know Franks. So sorry Mandy and Mel. If I don't get on here tomorrow I'll wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY now Mel. Sounds like you have a great present to look forward to. Hope you have a lovely day. <3 <3.
We have put the price of our bungalow back up 9k. After what you all said I think you were right, 13k was to much to reduce, especially with the house across the road being 33k higher. So now it's only been reduced by 4k, which is still a bit high but enough to generate more viewing's. We still haven't sold and are now thinking of taking it off the market in the hope that we are doing the right thing.
We had both our daughter's names on this property, but Michelle, our youngest, wanted to come off the deeds. The only problem with that is if she goes bankrupt within the next 5 years, our home has to be sold to repay her debts and we can only get insurance out to cover anyone buying this place and not for us as we are relatives of Michelle's.
This is why we were selling. But to be honest I like this place and don't really want to move. So we are thinking of taking a chance and taking it off the market in the hope that Michelle doesn't get into debt she can't afford to repay. She was only taken off the deeds last December and has now met a fella who is up to his eye balls in debt. If she ends up marrying him we don't know what might happen. We've already got the insurance, so if we have to move, that's all in place. It's difficult to decide what to do. She may not marry him, but at 27 you never know.
I'm going to read the posts now, as I haven't read them all yet BBL <3

Afternoon all,
Yet another terrible nights sleep, coughing and sneezing, and nose blowing. My chest feels very sore this morning, and I am almost out of tissues. So I have a kitchen roll on the arm or the chair. !!! :-( :-( :-( Hope it doesn't make my nose sore. ;-) ;-)
We had a show of sunshine a little earlier, but that's gone now, so I expect we will get the rain that they promised. Hope you get those logs under cover Jane before the rain comes. You don't want soggy logs !!!
Gill, That is a terrible thing to contemplate , your daughter going bankrupt, and you loosing your house. What was the reason for putting her on the deeds?? I would NEVER trust anyone with the future of my property. Sorry. <3 <3 <3
Fiona, That must be horrible, having a stuffed up nose, that you can't clear. Have you tried VASALI## or warm Olive oil. That might help to soften it and dislodge the dried blood.
Sweet 6 ? something tomorrow then Mel I know you will be spoilt by OH. Are you likely to get Breakfast in Bed. ?? Have you got any plans for the Evening ??
Getting very cloudy here now, so glad I am not going out. Book and Tele this afternoon, EDEN or NAT GEO. That will suit me.
See you later.

Hope you all get cards tomorrow too and be spoilt. It is always nice to get surprises and I shall be waiting to hear what you boys and girls get too. :-D :-D :-D

Hi Frank, I have tried vaseline and Savlon, which does soften the crusty bits , and have a big box of tissues and bottle of Olbas Oil beside my bed as sometimes the dried blood or dry mucus blocks the passages and I hate having a blocked nose , especially through the night , I feel panicky when I can't breath, my mouth is usually very dry when I wake up in the mornings( I keep a little plastic bottle which i refill every night with water before going bed but I am sort of use to that ,one of the side effect of the Amitriptyline but lately I have dry lips as well ,probably breathing through my mouth , so out comes my lip salve too.
I have had cold sores for as long as I remember, I use Zovirax , they come up in summer if it's hot and the winter especially when I am runned down.
I sometimes feel as I am a walking Wreck :-| :-|, sorry for moaning just feel a bit sorry for myself.

Afternoon all
My thoughts are with you today Frank. I think you're right staying indoors, you wouldn't want to get worse going out in the cold.
Do you sell your jewellery Ann? It sounds like the women were very interested, did they want you to make them some? It would be nice to do something you enjoy and have a few pounds in your back pocket.
Hope you manage to get your new car sorted Jane, they should be able to sort the problem out, then they'll be no stopping you. Hope things are ok between James and your OH now. I don't like it when people fall out either. Enjoy your lunch today.
Glad you had a lovely birthday Mandy. Chinese food is my favourite too. Are you doing anything special tomorrow Mel for your birthday.
Good luck to Katherine for her interview on Monday. I hope she gets the position. Hope your appointment with the doctor goes well for you Fiona. Let's hope he can sort the problem out for you quickly and that you get better soon.
Sounds like there's a few of us not well at the moment. I don't know about you but I'll be glad when the warmer weather gets here and we are all feeling much better.
The reason Michelle ended up on the deeds Frank is because she had to go onto the mortgage. The mortgage advisor set it up because OH had just started a new job when we sold our old house. It was just bad timing. Because OH hadn't been in his job long enough to qualify for a mortgage we were advised to put Michelle on the mortgage because she'd been in her job longer.
Michelle never paid any of the mortgage and we had to pay the mortgage off so she could come off the deeds. We were only made aware of the bankruptcy situation after Michelle had been taken off the deeds. Apparently there's nothing we can do about it.
If we were to sell then the situation would be over and the insurance we have taken out would cover the buyers, so there's no risk to them. But if we stay the insurance doesn't cover us because we are related to Michelle, so therefore the property would have to be sold to pay off any debts Michelle has.
We have a great deal with the Estate Agents, one we will never get again with any other Agent around here, which is why we've kept the property on the market for now.
Had we been aware of all the facts we would never have put Michelle on the mortgage in the first place, so now it looks like we'll have to live with it for the next 5 years.
I had to move here because my mum had cancer and she lives on her own. I lived in Wales so needed to be closer to her. She had her final check up yesterday and got the all clear, which is great news.
So I'm afraid that's the situation we now find ourselves in Frank. Don't know if we can sue the mortgage advisor, but knowing our luck we'd have to sell the bungalow to pay for it. We can't win :-( :-(. and to make matters worse, the solicitor we dealt with to remove Michelle from the deeds, no longer works for the firm.
