Don't think i would fancy swimming through bits of a Blue whale :-S :-S.Might fit inside its tummy though.
Where is our Birthday girl? Mandy I hope you are having a nice day and have had some nice pressies .
Maureen I expect you might have been having an easy day today after your hectic few days.
We have baby bunnies in the garden :-D....Chris says "Not for long" :-S.They have been hopping and skipping all over the place today. We need to find out where about they are getting through (from neighbours). I have my hair cut tomorrow so might see if I can get all the hair that has been cut through the day to bring home.It is supposed to keep Rabbits away if it put around the places where they are coming through. We have done it before .Apparently they are put off by human hair. It's worth giving it a go again :-D
I must give Hannah a ring as she is off to Germany tomorrow on a course .

Evening All,
:-) :-D :-D <3 <3HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MANDY <3 :-D :-D :-) I hope you have been enjoying your big day!!
Well it's gone very cold here again today after a mild start.
Yes, years ago you could sometimes get a tank full of petrol on a new car, but they told OH he will get just a few gallons in his! When I bought the car I had previous to the current one I got a free key locator keyring. I still have it as it stays with the driver not the car. If you lose your car keys it offers a reward to the finder if they hand them in, which is handy with keys costing £100+ these days. Remember when you got a bouquet of flowers with a car as well? I only got those once! I bet Jane is pleased to have got her new car. I would be wanting to go for a ride in it straightaway if it was me.
I was out with a friend today and she wanted to see some of my jewellery so I took a couple of things to show her. I got them out while we were having a cuppa and the next thing a couple of ladies whizzed across to give them the once over!! lol Then a few others came over to see what they were looking at!! I had to do 2 detours coming home as 2 long lanes into the village were gridlocked with traffic due to an accident. I bet it has happened on the fast straight stretch of one that has a blind dip at the bottom. Sometimes people don't realise cars are hidden in the dip and start overtaking.
Frank that was a cheek using the discount card like that but doesn't surprise me. I love Nat Geo too and watch it a lot. You learn so much as you say and see some wonderful things.
I'm not surprised it took tyou a while to get straight Maureen after those 2 little tornadoes had been visiting you. :-D I know years ago when my sister's 2 small boys visited once, after they went home, they had managed to get footprints on the walls!! Then in the following week or so we discovered the stereo had lost it's needle, the washing machine wouldn't spin fast and they'd thrown gravel all over the lawn!! Bless 'em!! ;-)
Well I have managed to get a hat pattern for that chunky wool I bought by mistake so I should be able to knit a hat to go with the scarf now!! I shan't be putting the big pompom on it though, I will probably look silly enough without that. :-S
OH has gone to a place near Nottingham for footie tonight.

Put the big pom pom Ann as it makes you look taller. Oh bought me a mauve hat with a big pom pom on for Christmas with my coat.
I love a hat with a pom pom. this is the second one he has bought me and I have one that mum knitted me ages ago, about 23 years. Another aunty Joy boght me for Christmas last year but that one blows away if it's windy. ( I was'nt going to say "off" there)
Ann I thought you were going to say you had to take a detour on the way home to get away from the ladies!!!!
Enjoy your footie tonight Frank if Tony takes you.
Don't know what to get for dinner so we are having sausages in burger buns with lots of onions. Nice and easy on the washing up.

Glad you have had a nice birthday Mandy. Little ones get the chance to try a lot more foods than we did don't they and it's good that all the plates were cleared. Were there many candles on your cake! :-D I feel horrid leaving my old car when you get a new one as well. I imagine it saying 'thanks for that after all the good years I've served you'.

:-D Mandy. You will be joining some of us ticking the 'Over 60' box on forms too now! Still prescriptions will be free!
I remember having one of those little patterned knitted hood type hats as a little girl. It had cords to tie under your chin and they had pompoms on. No, I'm not sure either Jane.........maybe earflaps? :-)
OH has been following Wolf Hall too, I couldn't get into it somehow. I have enjoyed the House of Commons prog though. It made me think there needs to be some changes there. I might go and watch Midsummer Murders I've recorded.

Morning all,
Dull here this morning ,need the light on to see the key board !!
I meant to say yesterday i had an e mail from Kim she's still not able to get on here and she says it's her computer that is the problem ,she said to say hello to you all .
Jane you were about early ,yes i can remember making the Pom poms to with the two bits of card board :-D it was a heck of a job getting the scissors in between the cardboard to cut the wool !! and if you didn't tie it tight enough it all fell to bits .
I have just stopped for coffee ,got a few jobs done but i need to give the bedroom carpet a good hoover today as it's all dry now , i used the carpet cleaner and it's come up quite well. Then i need to wash the bedside cabinets and they can go back in ,i think i can manage to get them back in if i take the drawers out and carry them through. We hope to be back in by the week end ,i'll be glad really as it's so hot in the other bedroom where the chimney breast comes up from the front room the wood burner warms the whole wall and it's like standing in front of a radiator and that's on the side where i sleep !!

Morning all and evening Kim,
A bit brighter here today with a little watery sun now and then. I have a mole in the big girls run. Everyday there is a huge hill in there but this morning there are two!! It keep the girls quiet scratching it flat during the day so when I corn them about 4pm they have gone.
Should go shopping today as I need a few bits and bobs but I may go to Holsworthy as I can get a sack of layers pellets there and oh's cider.

I have stopped for coffee now too Mandy.I'm glad no-one could see me just now.I was trying to cut logs as these last few we have are a bit too big for the burner.Well I just managed to get the axe in but no further :-S.I tried and tried but the axe just wouldn't go in any further :-S :-S.What a weakling I am :-| I can just see Chris's face when he sees my pitiful attempt lol..He will have to do them later this afternoon when he gets home.I will be at the Hairdressers then :-D
it is a real gloomy day again.Dark and dreary.Hardly a breath of wind either. It is all very still. That will be good for Hannah's flight later to Bamberg.I think she flies just before 3.
Mandy I couldn't sleep next to a warm Chimney Breast..I think James finds it warm sometimes in his bed as that is up against ours.It will be nice to get back in your own bed soon.My bedroom still smells new.I don't know if it is the carpet or the furniture.I can't work it out.
Mel how far is Holsworthy from you.I can never remember if it is nearer than Bideford.I think it must be? I have a load of clean laundry to get sorted and put away so I will crack on with that before a bite of lunch and then haircut.

Jane Hols. is 9 miles and Bideford 13 from where I live.
Have just found out what oh is buying me for my birthday on Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a new video camera as the other one only takes still pics now. BUT this one has a wider lens so I should be able to see where things come from and go to. I have really been missing my camera but at least the hedgehogs are still asleep at the mo.
Time for me to have a coffee me thinks.................. ;-)

Afternoon all,
Was awake at 4.50 am this morning, couldn't get back to sleep. To many things going on in my mind. I got up at 7.00 had a couple of cups of tea, got showered and shaved. Was sitting reading when Ros came out. I had to be at the Drs. 9.50 this morning. The waiting room was standing only soon after I arrived. Was late getting to see nurse, and it was still packed when I came out.
Horrible day here again, need the lights on to see what you are doing.!!
Ann, That mention of flowers bought back memories. I did that with every new car I sold. When the New Reg No. came out AUGUST 1st. I would have all the cars lined up on the forecourt, and the showroom floor was covered with Bouquets for the Wife of the owner. It went down well with the ladies, so I continued to do it until I left . I had a good arrangement with the local florist, who was kept in regular orders.
Glad you had a good day yesterday Mandy, and had lots of presents.
Mel, That will be lovely, you will be able to keep us filled in with all the animal movements. Looking forward to it.
Hope Hannah has a good flight, and an enjoyable stay in Germank.
Fancy you not being able to chop a few logs.
On the news last night there was a woman with Cancer, who wore a bobble hat, and had the MICKEY taken out of her by someone in Tesc# So all the local woman made and wore these bobble hats, with what you can only describe as A NIPPLE for a bobble., in support of her. Some of you would have seen it !!!
Lewis is coming up on Saturday evening (Well Ros will collect him from Milton Keynes) then his parents will pick him up Sunday afternoon/evening. I will be out down the pub, as I don't want to be around when they come. We will treat him to a nice Chinese on Sat. Night as that's his favourite.
Sorry we won't be able to pop in tomorrow Jane, perhaps another day. (let hope it won't be for another funeral) Enjoy your lunch out. <3 <3
I have made a "SHEEP SH#T PIE" for tonight. It's already for the mash to go on top and a grating of cheese. Cabbage and carrots all done, so I can have a quiet afternoon in the armchair, I might even catch up on a bit of zzzzzzzzz.

oooh Mel that will be a cracking pressie :-D :-D
Frank ,that will nice to see young Lewis again.I bet he is looking forward to being spoiled :-D :-D
Will be thinking of you tomorrow .I imagine there will be a lot of people at the funeral .The Beddows family must be quite well known . We are going to Ascoughs for lunch tomorrow. So no cooking for me :-D
I doubt Hannah will be in Germany just yet.I think she is flying to Nuremberg and then changing flights for Bamberg.I hope she gets a few free hours to see some of the city as it looks quite nice.
Ive had a good haircut and a good laugh with Nigel. He is a Monopoly fan (I haven't played it for donkeys years). He was testing me on my memory of the different roads on the board.I did quite well :-D After the hairdressers I took the car back to the garage as I felt it was pulling slightly to the left.So tomorrow it is going to have Laser Alignment (or something like that ).I'll drop it off on the way when we go out for lunch and pick it up on the way back. You should have seen the salemans face when he saw me lol James took Chris's Yeti to work this morning so Chris could take the Volvo into Northampton for a service.....Apparently Chris had a blazing row with James as it was so filthy inside :-S..I knew nothing of this....I just hope that when James gets in from work there isn't a frosty atmosphere between them.I can't be doing with that !!! I did laugh though when I saw Chris driving off with cat paw prints all over the bonnet. He is such a clean freak when it comes to cars he must have been mortified taking it in like that .Plus the back number plate was almost covered in muck .I bet James is dreading coming home LOL
I don't know where today has gone.I think it has passed me by somewhere.

Our car is mucky and needs a good wash ,i think it will be done this week end as hubby will have more time to take it now the bedroom is finished .
I hate it when hubby and son have words ,it's usually about work !! as they work together ,one likes some thing done one way and one another , hubby has his old way of doing things and son is more for the new way of doing things ,but usually the old way wins !!
Monopoly is the one game that bores me to death ,it just seems to take forever !!

Apparently you can have a big fine for having the back reg plate unreadable :-S I can't remember the last time Chris and James had a big bust up.Probably when James was still at school !!!!! I like peace :-D I used to love Monopoly..But there was always an argument as someone would be cheating(NOT ME ;-) ;-)
