Well I am still surviving !!!! Hasn't been so bad today, have not had a runny nose, but my lips are sore and very red. IT'S NOT LIPSTICK. :-D :-D :-D

I was back in the kitchen this evening. Loin of pork medallions. with onion and mushroom sauce with cream and roast potato's Clean plates so all good.

I do hope they sort your boiler Jane, I can see you will be like me, they replaced everything in the boiler, just the original case. Now I have had new stats. there is nothing else to go wrong. I HOPE.!!!!

Everything seems to be coming together with the decorating and new carpets. It just needs Gill to get a buyer, and everybody will be happy bunnies.

Mel I was only joking about your Pheasants. I could no more shoot one, than fly the moon !!!

Tooth has'nt been too bad and I have been using Corsodyl mouthwash the minty one which I find very good. I think it is all to do with the new teeth jarring the bottom ones so I have been wearing the other set and not the bottom ones.

O Jane it sounds like you have sorted the heating out yourselves.

Does your woodburner have a flat bed for the logs or have you a grate too. If you do you could always get a couple of sacks of smokeless fuel and bank the fire sown with that at night and top it with ashes. thats what we had to do with ours and it stayed in all night then and with a bit of a stir in the morning it was away again.

Jane we have talked about seeing Paddington too! More big kids! OH asked me if I want to see Selma today after the trailer so we might be seeing it too.

I was awake ages last night after my sister rang....her son is in hospital, so I'm off to bed now.

Slap on a lot of vaseline or lip salve tonight Frank.You must have been breathing through your mouth a lot for your lips to dry out like that.

Been a different week, My Frank worked Monday, was off as usual on Tuesday, took Wednesday as a holiday. back to work Thursday, then had Friday off, work today and Sunday off, :-S He needs to take 10 days holiday before March

Glad I managed coffee with friends on Wednesday morning, feeling a lot better apart from the BLOODY NOSE (sinus trouble, not being rude) :-D Have been putting Savlon in my nose on the sore area's ,is really good & softens the dried blood and is a good antiseptic, though I do feel clogged up,

Snow is just about gone from our street, and yesterday we got a surprise when returning from shopping, the council have finally put a sand/grit box at the end of our street, ABOUT TIME TOO.!!!!

Been on Amazon this morning to buy a few Grade 1 storybooks for Sofia , good old Ladybird books, hard to believe she has been at school now for 5 months and is reading stories to us, she is so proud of herself, and even read a book with a little help to her daddy,
Daniele finds it hard sometimes to read English children's stories, he says the layout of the book sometimes doesn't make sense to him.
His mum Adele, brings over Italian children's books when she comes to visit, so she can read to the children , so there is a pile of books at their house.

Coffee time, also need to catch up on the ironing too.

Slept like a log last night, awake about 7.30 I just laid there in the warm. Ros got up and made the tea, so Tea in bed this morning. Lips not so bad this morning just the cracks at the side of the mouth that are sore. Good old Vaseline .

WHAT IS OUR COUNTRY COMING TOO ??? I heard on the news this morning, that an old lady in her EIGHTIES was knocked down by a lorry. As she lay DYING some SCUMBAG robbed Her. I would be the first to put the NOOSE ROUND HIS NECK. I am sickened by some of the stories you hear about. There is someone in Northampton who knocked a 86 year old woman to the ground and robbed her, another (the police think it's the same person) knocked on someone's door and attacked and robbed them when they answered the door. It's coming to something where people aren't safe in their own homes.!!!

Ros has gone to meet Martine, she was early this morning as Martine has to be at the hairdressers at 12.30. So I am "HOME ALONE" this morning.

I showered and shaved yesterday after I had sat around for a couple of hours. I feel I will be alright in the shower, with no one around this morning. If I went down in there with no one in the house, I would be in a right old mess :-D :-D :-D :-D

Mel, I find that on occasions my teeth are making my gums sore, so I use BONGEL# and leave them out for a while.

Is the heating on this morning Jane ?? I do hope so. Nothing worse than getting up to a cold house, and no hot water. Been there got the T shirt ;-) ;-) ;-)

I made myself a THREE sausage sandwich this morning with two further cups of tea, so my appetite is alright.

Off to get showered and dressed. I must remember to make the BED.

I waited last night to see if the heating went off..it didn't so I turned it off and reset it to timed..Well bless my soul!!!!!! it came on at 6 this morning as normal :-D :-D then by about 8.30 it had gone off again :-S :-S
So the Woodburner is going once more and the rads plugged in.I'm sick of it now.The other man should be here sometime late morning.I wonder if he can work magic.

I'm off to the P O ,the Renault place (to drop of new insurance paper) then to the Garden Shop to see about the logs being delivered next week and to pay and finally Tes**..
Fitz is coming up again at lunch time with his new laptop ..he needs help.!!!!

Fiona,I think it great that the children will be able to understand all their stories in both languages.I suppose they are both speaking Italian too now :-D.Sofia is doing very well to be able to read her own little books already :-D.Clever girl :-D

I imagine you must be smelling savlon everywhere you go LOL.I think it is wonderful stuff.

I keep meaning to get some bongela and keep forgetting.

The birds are waiting to be fed so I better go and do that. Fill all the feeders up again and I have some fat off last nights pork for them too. I made sweet and sour pork with rice last night but cut all the fat off the pork chops I used.

I feel quite frazzled :-S I did all the jobs around town this morning and it took me forever as the traffic was so bad with roadworks etc.Then I got back and the Gas man was here and also Fitz.So I managed to get some kind of lunch done .The poor Gas man was up and down the stairs like a Yoyo ..To cut it short he thinks we might have a faulty wire under the floorboard just outside my bedroom.It is a wonky floorboard and thinks it is possible that when someone walks on it it might touch a wire that then causes a fuse to keep going.So he has turned of the electrics to the pump in the airing cupboard .
I am now waiting for Homeserve to come and have a look at this wiring.it is never ending.They should be here before 5oclock .They will ring to say when.
Chris has gone back with Fitz to do something with Fitz's laptop and printer.As whatever needs doing can't be done on our printer.

Frank you aren't on the floor in the shower are you????

At least it is not so cold today.Downstairs is quite warm with the Wood burner .I have just realised I haven't made our bed yet and whoever comes from Homeserve will have to go in there..So I better get up there and sort that out.

Oh Gawd! Chris has only been back 1 minute from Fitz and Fitz has rung with yet another problem with the laptop.So he is on his way back here with the laptop. :-S :-S
Chris is being a lot more patient with Fitz than he would be with me !!!!!!!

It's been cloudy here all day, but not so cold ,hubby has been out cutting wood and i've been helping to stack it away ,we've both had enough now so have cleared up and come in for a cuppa.

Glad your feeling a little better Frank ,those cracks on the side of the mouth can be really sore but the vaseline should help ,i'am sure you'll still be able to manage a pint or two !! :-D


Jane you were saying about the cinema Wednesday week, if the schools your way are the same as here that week is half term !! just thought i'd mention it as the cinema night be full of excitable children :-D :-D :-D

Jess used our ensuite this morning and locked the door....James wondered why she was so long....She got locked in lol .Chris and I never lock it so didn't realise that there is a problem with it.

Lamb burgers in buns for us tonight nice and easy. Bit of lettuce and tom and chilli sauce.

Had a nice surprise this afternoon after our late lunch. The neighbour called down to say thanks for feeding the cat and brought me a big bunch of soft orange tulips, 18 of them. A lovely thought. :-D :-D :-D

Mel you are right .We are fed up to the 'back' teeth now :-S.I am just thankful it isn't too cold now.
That was really nice of your neighbour to give you those lovely Tulips.They are one of my favourite flowers.
