Afternoon everyone
Thanks Liz for the pics..Spring has arrived for sure with you. What lovely flowers.Nothing like that here yet other than the Snowdrops. I think Paddington Bear would like to come and stay with you ....ALL THAT MARMALADE :-D :-D
I wonder how Baby Lewis is today.I do hope he isn't any worse <3
I imagine Maureen will be home from her colonoscopy now.No doubt having a bit of a rest and something to eat.
I have been cleaning nearly all day...Shame it doesn't really look any different .I'm sure Chris will think I am telling porkies and will reckon I have been on the lap top all day :- S This is the first time I have turned it on.
Frank I think those knee supports are very good.Hope it is easing your jarred knee.
It has rained most of the day :-S Blooming miserable .
Just going to grab a cuppa and then finish cleaning the kitchen worktops.
Mel I was watching a little bunny having a great time on the lawn just outside the summerhouse just now..Chris was sitting in there at his painting table and didn't even notice it lol.I have just told him ,so he has taken his gun out there now.(I don't fancy his chances )

Ann that is worrying seeing the farmer ripping out the hedges :-S..I was thinking if it is in preparation for building would it not be contractors who would be doing it rather than the farmer? Just a thought.I hate seeing the destruction of lovely old hedges that might have been there for hundreds of years and then I worry about the wildlife. :-(
I can see out of Hannahs bedroom window all the trucks and things to-ing and fro-ing in the top field up the road where they are building this new school.I don't quite understand why the school is being built now as there is no infra structure in place at all yet.It seems the whole countryside is being dug up at the moment :-( :-(
Frank you wouldn't recognise some of Burton Latimer now.So many new builds there .In between the A6 and the old part of the village. It is such a shame.
I am not going to clean anything else today.I've had enough .Tomorrow it will be the main bathroom and a final dust and hoover in Hannah's room ready for Janice and Larry tomorrow. They won't be here until about 6.30/7pm so I will have all day :-D One of my favourite programmes starts again tomorrow night...Gogglebox .I love it :-D
Dinner tonight is low cal ready meals :-S.With plenty of extra veg :-D I'm just thinking it's not long now Ann before our lunch out with Fitz...Might have a bit of a blow out then :-D :-D..I bet Fitz will insist on us having those lovely little Garlic and cheese muffin things to start LOL

Cor they sound nice Jane.
Still raining here and miserable an dit's now getting dark. I let the banties out at 5.15 for 20 min run around and what did they do????? walked out round the back and stood under the nest box where they could have stood inside the run under the bedroom bit. the nest box sticks out a bit futher than that. Silly things. It was only cresta who actually had a peck about near them in the rain.
Well I hav'nt done anything today except lunch and wash up and clean the sink. I just can't get on when it is dark and dingy.
O I did shoot the rabbit!! :-D

Mel I can't begin to describe how yummy those things are. They are very small ,just a couple mouthfuls each one.But to die for :-D
So Merlin has to wait another day for his pedicure Liz.How often does the farrier visit? That was nice to have that surprise visit from the G Children today.I take it the rain had stopped when you went for a walk. I loved Happy Families :-D.I'm trying to think of the names ..I think I remember a Mr and Mrs Bun and family(the bakers) but I'm blowed if I can think of the others.Maybe the names have changed these days. Chris bought a game of of Scrabble (Nostalgic Edition) with wooden pieces .BUT he is struggling to get the darned wooden box open !!Something seems to be jammed.I might have said that on Sunday with Janice and Larry we will be having a game :-D Chris will be reading the rules.....so there is no cheating :-S Would I cheat???? Not on your nellie ;-) ;-)

Afternoon all
Horrible rainy day here today
Sorry to hear Lewis isn't very well, hope he's feeling a better now.
I bet you can't wait to finally have your sofa and chairs Fiona
Are you excited to watch the live Eastenders tonight Jane. You'll finally find out who killed Lucy. I've got the One Show on at the moment and because Eastenders is on after it, they have put a clock with a countdown to WHO DID IT on there. Did you hear that the actress who plays Tanya made a mistake in the live part of Eastenders last night. Apparantly she asked how Adam is instead of Ian. Adam being the actors names who plays Ian. I must admit I didn't notice. I'M SUCH A FAN LOL :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D.
Well according to the countdown clock there's 12 minutes and 40 seconds to go, so I'm going to make a cuppa and watch it. I still can't work out who did it. Bye for now <3

Jane, Ed cheats dreadfully, when he gets the chance!! Alice gets really fed up with him and I have to try and keep the peace!!! Yes the rain did let up for about an hour but it was very wet underfoot, so wellies all round! The farrier comes about every six weeks. It depends how much he goes out on the road. In the winter he can go two months, but his hoofs will get tool long if you leave it any longer. This time hopefully he can have what's called a refit, which means he can have his same shoes 'refitted' and not need new ones, this rarely happens in summer as he's out and about much more. We're watching a recording of Midsomer. It must be the most dangerous area in England!!! Not that keen on it , but like you Mel, I like Sykes, and the baby!! At least it's pretty benign; We also find a lot of bad language very tiring and totally unnecessary. Surely people can make a point without resorting to effing and blinding. Jane, I haven't played Scrabble for years! You can't really cheat, but you can argue whether a word is a word or made up!! Ian and I used to really fall out big time years ago over Scrabble words!!! I expect that's why we don't play anymore!!!!

Yes Mandy, we made raspberry and strawberry jam last summer! A bit runny but a fab taste! I use it mostly for cake fillings, it's not good enough for the village fete, but who knows it might be better this year!!!!!

Not me Frank! East Enders is a big NO NO in this house as are all soaps!!! Midsomer has gone, it was just too silly and boring! Watching a Time Team which we both like. I think there is going to be a revamping of Poldark. I loved it the first time round years ago; wonder what the new version will be like?!!!

Evening All,
Oh yes those lovely little bites with the melted cheese on Jane......delicious!! :-D :-D We can't pass on those, can we? I can imagine the shocked look on Fitz's iif we did!! Diets or not days out are for enjoying and I think it helps to have an odd break like that. Mind you I'll be booking the bistro the week after for OH's birthday. After that I shall make more effort again. I meant to ask if you watched that prog about the Psycopath Killers that I mentioned. It was good in a chilling kind of way. Two Psycopaths working together in the 80s, what chance did their victims stand against two!! We have a dictionary next to us when we play Scrabble!! lol. OH tries to make rude words sometimes!!!!!
Yes, the first thing I did was look online at the planning application lists but there's nothing there.....YET! The field at the back was owned by some pension trust at the time we moved here and put out to tender each year and the farmer rented it. I saw the neighbours looking out at it in amazement yesterday.
I just had a google and you are right Frank they do need permission to remove hedgerows and it can be refused if it is a hedge over 30 years old and on agricultural land! They can be fined and forced to reinstate it in some circs. It I'll give the council a ring first in the morning.
Seems like you'll just have to be MORE CAREFUL on the steps then Frank!!! It's no good having a rail either if you hold the laundry with both hands.
Liz, you certainly have a good stock of marmalade! I used to make it years ago as first OH liked it on some of his work sandwiches he took every day. I did loads of damson jam too when we had a damson tree. Nowadays jam goes mouldy before we manage to eat it so I just get the tiny jars.:-S
It's good little Lewis isn't losing weight Mandy. Hopefully he will be better by the time of his checkup. The poor little things can't tell us how they feel.
Is anyone watching the prog about the GP practice in London? We have really enjoyed it up to now.
Well, I had a lazy day today, told OH I was suffering from NCD.......No Can Do!!! I've done bits of this and that, but nothing that anyone would notice. Off to watch Dr Moseley now........no Eastenders here either, but I do watch some soaps.
Forgot to say.......David's wife's knee is doing well but he is waiting to see his consultant and says his still won't bend.

I'm back, Who got it right then ???? Ros's hairdresser did !!
We had a ready meal tonight to make a change from me cooking. It's been repeating on me all evening.
The rain has been hammering down all evening, I can hardly hear the T.V. out in the conservatory.
I don't think I have ever played Scrabble, and as for board games I think it was with my Children over forty years ago. NO I AM NOT OLD ;-) ;-) ;-)
Where do you go for this lunch with Fitz ?? Is it anywhere I know Jane.??
Just tripped over Ros's cutting board. She left it sticking out as I went passed her as she is on her machine. I said a few choice words, as you can imagine.
Football just about to start, so see you in the morning.

Liz I kept meaning to say that they have made a new Poldark. I too loved the first one and it went on for a nice long while too.
We went to Cornwall on a holiday once and stayed in St Agnes where a lot of it was filmed. We were looking for a property down there at the time and the estate agent told us that they had all the horses tethered outside their shop. The pub had all the actors pics on the walls too. The writer came from St Agnes I think Winston Graham. We even were told where to find Jinny Carters cottage and took pics of it. ou could see where there had made repairs on it for the series. I looked through a boarded up window and was frighten by someone looking back at me!! It was myself as there was an old mirror put up behind the boards.
Spag bol was lovely. we hav'nt had one for a while.
