Thanks Ann. We tend to forget to look to see what's on BBC4, then wonder why we miss things!! Ian has just made some pancakes with the rest of the 'yorkshire' mix, and they're very good. He is a pretty good cook, and often gets lunch/supper, so I can't grumble too much!!! (but I do!!)

Police have been , they are going to do door to door to see if anyone heard or saw any thing and they are also going to look at CCTV ,there are cameras in the churchyard and in the old peoples places next door .

Don't think we will be able to drive the car until the mirrors are replaced ,we won't be able to see whats coming up beside us .

It has gone down as a theft from the car rather than criminal damage ,as one of the mirrors was no where to be found .

I hope they manage to see them on the cameras Mandy and that it leads to catching them. There's no excuse for mindless damage like that causing people inconvenience and expense to get things fixed. Imagine if you needed the car everyday to take/pick your grandchildren up from school or did a job where you travelled about every day. I wonder why they took the mirror with them?

They probably just threw it some where Ann, more than likely it's laying in some ones garden.
It wouldn't be any use as some of it is still attached to the car .

What a horrible day, It was rain all afternoon, and that wind is so strong the trees were bent over.

I didn't realise that it was vandals Mandy, I thought it was hit and run. Lets hope they find the little so and so's who did it.

Glad you had a nice time with Hannah Jane. Did you stay over or all come home.??

Your MIL and FIL are a right pair, what with one thing and another. They always seem to be getting into a fix, what with tripping or falling over. Their middle name isn't "FRANK" is it :-D :-D :-D

Fell asleep after dinner 6.00 pm. Ros got onto me, saying "You will never sleep tonight" The way I feel I could go to bed now.

Nice piece of beef tonight, ran low on plain flour, must get more tomorrow. We don't keep a big tupper ware pot of it anymore as we got those little weavel's in the last lot. So we only buy a small bag now.

Another weekend gone, this time next week it will be another month gone. ONLY 10 months to Christmas ;-) ;-) ;-)

Mr S on at the Mo. so I am out of the way, then I think it will be an early night again. See if I can sleep the night through.

I bet Jane will be up the stairs to Bedfordshire anytime soon !!!

Blustery morning here with some sun and cloud but at the mo it is snowing a bit just as oh went to put the bin out. OOO it really is snowing now!!!! :-D :-D Just as I was going round to the chickens after posting this. I don't think it will stay as the grounds wet from the rain and hail we had in the night and earlier this morning.

Mandy I hope they have something on the CCTV to help with whoever damaged your poor little car. When oh knocked my side mirror off he bought one online as it was much cheaper than having the garage do it. It only took a couple of days to arrive.

"What a difference a day makes" This morning I woke to brilliant sunshine and blue sky's 9.10 am. Cold wind outside, don't think we will be going anywhere today.

The Engineer will be here between 1.00 and 4.00 pm to check the heating. Hope this is the final time, but with the policy I have I am covered until 18th Oct 2015.So I am covered.

Well fancy you getting snow this morning Mel, Does that mean it's coming our way ??

Any luck with the CCTV Mandy ?? The little bugge#s are bound to be caught if everyone keeps an eye out for them. Sooner than later I hope.

I've taken to having toast and "set honey" in the mornings very nice it is too.

Might walk down to the village hall this afternoon to watch a bit of bowls for an hour. I don't think I will take it up. My hip and knees are too sore for bending. !!

Morning/Evening All

Janice and Larry left a little while ago so should be well on their way home now.It should normally take about 1hr 45 mins or so .But coming up to us on Friday it took them 3 hours !!!!!!.. It has been a lovely few days and having a nice bit of Sister time :-D.

It is really quite windy here and Chris says we might be in for a snow shower later..Must be coming up from your way Mel.
I think I will be back on to B G as we can't get the radiator in the kitchen hot . :-S
Hope you get sorted today Frank.Its a real pain all these heating problems when they happen.
I just tried to put another log on the woodburner and the wind must be that strong the the flames were licking the edge of the door when I opened it !!!!!.So I shut that pretty quick.I'll just have to wait until it dies down a bit before I open it again.

No I don't know how many cards I have painted Mel. I'm very much a fairweather person, While it's cold and wet I'll paint and when it's warm and sunny I'll be in the garden, don't do much gardening these days, more sitting in the sun with a good book.

Had a lovely meal at son's yesterday, he always buys delicious puddings, yesterday there was a cream sponge with strawberries on the top, a rich chocolate cake and a treacle tart, I couldn't decide which to have so I had all three :-D.

There are some right tow-rags about Mandy, what enjoyment they get out of vandalising someone elses property I can't imagine, if they are caught they should be made to work to pay back all the damage they've caused, they might think twice then.

Whilst at sons we watched Captain Phillips, I was on the edge of my seat all the way through it, great film, wouldn't expect anything less with Tom Hanks in it.

Hope your OH is okay Gill, what with the upset of losing one of his ladies and then falling off his bike. My mum used to work in a care home and I know she got very attached to the residents, she was a cleaner but would sit with some of the old folk chatting or reading to them.

Have you got the snow yet. We've had a bit more sleety snow then bally snowy hail. Sun's out again now.

Maureen you will have to write a list when you paint a card and see just how many you do do within the year.

Been nice and sunny but the wind has been really blowy ,i hung some washing out and got it all dry ,they smelt so lovely and fresh when i folded them up .

Police have been door to door today , we know which way they went now as when son came this afternoon he came in with the side mirror that was missing, he found it in the churchyard as he walked through , hopefully they might show up walking through on the CCTV camera they have in the churchyard ,the new side mirrors should be here on Wednesday .

Hope you enjoyed watching the bowling this afternoon Frank, shame you carn't join them for a game .

More snow Mel ? has it covered the ground yet ? i suppose with the rain you've had it's not laying to much.

Hope the CCTV in the church yard picked those boys up as son found the mirror there but they may have just thrown it in there and not walked through.

All sorted with the Room STAT. It was nothing to do with it. IT WAS the Boiler control. It had been turned down lower than it should be. After up and down in the loft and checking this and that. He was off after a cuppa. Nice lad from Leminton Spa.

Jane, It only seems a few days ago that you had B G out. Does the radiator need bleeding ?? Glad you had a nice weekend. I bet your jaw aches now !!!

Mandy, You can only hope the CCTV picks up the culprits and they are made to pay for what they have done. Not only the cost but a criminal record. !!

Didn't go to the bowling as I had the engineer coming between 1- 4 pm He turned up at 3.00. The bowling finished at 4.00 pm.

Sat and watched NAT GEO and EDEN this afternoon. NAT GEO was about the Great Barrier Reef, and EDEN about the Silver Backs, and how they fight to keep their females. We men have a lot to learn. lol :-D :-D :-D

Last night I sat and watched two hours of Rick Stein. What a well travelled man he is and so interesting. I can watch him with no trouble, as Ros likes him also. So there are things we agree on <3 <3 <3 <3

Soaps on till 9.00 pm then Broadchurch. till 10.00 pm. so I am off to the conservatory to find something to watch, or read my book.

No snow here today Mel, just sunshine most of the day. :-) We had a lot of rain yesterday and the fields already have little lakes of water lying.

We saw Captain Philips at the cinema last year and thought what a great film it was too Maureen, quite gripping and well worth watching. As you say, Tom Hanks is usually good! Good idea to have some of each pud at your son's.........then you don't hanker for seconds of the others! :-D

Frank!!!! Don't mention next Christmas yet, I'm still trying to lose the pounds put on over the last one!! lol. Glad the heating problem was easy to sort out.

There had been 6 thefts of ATMs using J*B's in villages around here, the nearest 2 miles away. Now there's been a 7th, this time at a bank. You wouldn't think they'd target a bank, there must be CCTV all around it. :-S

Yes have you tried bleeding the radiator Jane? It's always worth trying when a radiator is cold. I lost a big post the other day. Why is it always the big posts that go whoosh and never the little ones!!! lol

Yes we have bled the radiator in the kitchen but it is still only luke warm (if that).It has always been an awkward radiator.Our pipework in the house is such a tangle of pipes(in the loft) no-one can really work out what goes where !!!!.It might just be a matter of tweaking things to get better heating downstairs.

Yes Frank don't you dare mention the Xma* word :-| :-|...I'm still finding glittery stuff from the last one :-S.Easter is just around the corner now !!!!! I could murder a bit of chocolate right now....just a teeny weeny easter egg would be nice :-D or just a square of Chocolate . But it will just have to be in my dreams :-S

I keep thinking it is Sunday .So that will be me one day out all week ...Someone remind me tomorrow it is Tuesday and not Monday :-D :-D :-D

Jane hubby said , turn all the other rads off and turn the one that's playing up as high as it will go ,the pump should then put more pressure on that one rad and should take any air out ,he said that was what our plumber had told him to do .

Sunny morning here but still a bit windy.

We had a thunder storm last night which went on for most of the evening. The leccy kept going out so I could'nt have the pooter on. It was far away at first as I was cooking the curry I saw the first lightening then heard the thunder. Then after dinner it started leccy off turn the leccy on. I was recording Broardchurch and knew it just would'nt do it as it had gone out so many times.

What a let down that was too. What did you think about the ending those of you that watched it?
