Morning all my lovelies, evening Kim,
I am sure I am much brighter than the weather this morning ;-) ;-) ;-) It is horrible out there. Just like you Mel, rain rain rain. !!
This sleeping sickness has got to both of us last night. I didn't wake until 9.15 and Ros was after 10.00. I suppose the dark miserable morning and a comfy bed helped. <3 <3
Ros is at present doing my tablets, She has FOUR boxes with seven days marked on them. Morning afternoon and evening. She puts my Morning ones in the first two. and my night ones in the "Evening" one. She does a MONTH at a time. It doesn't seem that long ago when she did them last.
Baby Lewis looks so cuddly I could nibble his little cheeks <3 <3 <3 Enjoy him Mandy. He will soon grow up !!
I'm doing SHIN OF BEEF in gravy with mash and veg tonight. It will go in the oven for 3/4 hours and be as tender a butter by 6.00 pm.
What are you all up to today. No gardening I hope lol

Well all I have done is feed the chickens, feed the wild birds, feed the wild phesants and play cards on the pooter. I did put the washing up away that oh did.
I shall have to go to Holsworthy this afternoon as we need some shopping. I need Joint Ace as I hav'nt been able to get them for a month or two now. Boots in Bideford do them but they only get three packets in at a time and as they are on three for two they go in one swipe. Last time I was able to get one pack which last a month but the last time I went they had none! I shall have to order them in Hols. if they have'nt any and I could try the heatlth food shop as they have them sometimes.

Lovely photo of Lewis Mandy, his hair is a bit darker than the others isn't it, it will probably grow through blonder though.
Prepare yourself Mel if you haven't watched a few of Wolf Hall not only is the F word mentioned but the C word too which a lot of people find more offensive. Apart from that it was a very good drama, I think it has finished now but doesn't show the demise of Cromwell only goes up to the beheading of Anne, maybe there will be another series.
I'm going to get my Fajitas at last, third time son has asked me, the first was a couple of days before my procedure and I could only eat white food then he asked me Tuesday but I had so much ironing to take back and pick up I didn't get in here until 8.00pm so hopefully third time lucky for this evening, they are my favourite meal.
Have you recorded anything interesting yet Mel?
I'm taking a break from painting and am covering a chair for my bedroom. I have an old chair painted white which belonged to my mum, sitting in the spare room, I was looking on e.b*y and they are selling similar ones for more than £40 shabby chic they call it, that way they can charge more than double, so decided to pad this one and I have some curtain material over from where I shortened them so will cover the chair this afternoon.
Has anyone seen the new Marigold Hotel that's out. I'm going but not sure when, everything seems to be put on hold waiting for son's move.

Afternoon All,
I was surprised you were watching Wolf Hall Mel, as Maureen said there was the C word as well as lots of Fs! The C word has caused a stir already, but in the context it was said It didn't seem as bad to me as every other word being an F word that you hear so often nowadays. Maureen we are going to see The Second Best Marigold Hotel tomorrow afternoon. I'm glad they've done a sequel.
How is Lewis now Mandy? Has he recovered from the runs? He looks really cute with his hair fluffed up. :-D I can remember doing 'hairstyles' for my baby brother and sister when they were babies. Once they were toddlers there was no chance of getting near them with a brush or comb without them screaming the place down and attracting attention from mum!! I hope your hubby manages to fix the mirror and wiring so you can use your car again.
Can someone send me Frank's email..........I think he's forgotten me. :-( (again!)
We've recorded the Suffragettes Forever prog Liz so I'll look forward to watching it. We are really enjoying the GP prog of the London Surgery......they just don't know who will walk in next! They had a very elderly epemediologist this week........she had researched some pills that she wanted and stood with the doctor looking at his screen as if she was at work with him, not his patient!! lol. It turned out the pills she wanted are not available in this country. I've been watching the Alaska progs too....who would have thought Huskies would enjoy fish head soup. :-S Yuk!
OH's car only just managed to start this morning! :-0 I hope he doesn't have the expense of a battery or alternator just before his new car is ready!! I think we'd better see if we can find the battery charger in the garage (wish us luck as I expect OH has buried it under something). We might be able to keep it limping along a few more weeks then.
Our neighbour has taken up the cutting of the hedges with the farmer, he was chatting to him in the field this morning so I expect we'll be hearing what he said when we next see him.
I'm not sure whether I would enjoy Oppenheimer either Jane, but it depends how it is done doesn't it. When I last went to RSC as a teenager it had scratchy red velvet seats. I like the way the stage comes out into the audience now, much more intimate. I find dangling legs soon get pins and needles :-S

Just looked out of the conservatory and the SUN came out in such a bust I couldn't see a thing, I don't think I have seen it so bright since the summer I now have blotches before my eyes.
Ros has gone to Hobby Cr##t to get some spray glue to do the padding on the quilts. She seems to get through it like wildfire. She made another blanket yesterday afternoon.
More phone calls today, about car accidents and cheaper phone bills. The sooner this new law comes out the better. They are the curse to mankind. :-( :-( :-(
The beef is smelling the bungalow out now. It's making me feel so HUNGRY. and it's not even 4.00 pm.
We have just had a BLAST of wind, that has taken things off the patio table. Pots and trays. Hope none are broken. Where the Hell did that come from.??? All settled down now.
Madam has decided she can pay for the car wheels to be refurbished, so will arrange to get them booked in.
TWO football matches this evening BACK TO BACK so I will be in the Conservatory from 6.00 pm till 10.00 pm.

Afternoon all,
Dry here first thing then we had some heavy rain now it all dry again ,i didn't think it seemed as cold out today ,we nipped out first thing before the rain came and i only put my thin fleece on and i was warm enough.
Side mirrors all fixed on the car so i can drive it again now ,it did feel strange with the car just standing there and i couldn't drive it ,so use to just nipping out when i want .
Yes little Lewis seems to be better now , health visitor came yesterday and weighed him he's now eleven pound !! he did look cute with his hair all fluffed up after his bath :-D
Maureen ,i'd love to see the chair when you've finished , i think it's good to recycle , things made years ago were much better made than the furniture you buy today .
Chicken for us tonight in Honey and mustard sauce with plenty of veg .

I agree with you Ann over Wolf Hall, and I'm ok with bad language if it's in context with the programme I'm watching. Some words that we find so offensive these days wouldn't have been so in Tudor times. Canterbury Tales can sail a bit close to the wind, but presumably Chaucer's readers were ok with it. What I can't be doing with is when it's gratuitous swearing just for the sake of it. I certainly did enjoy last night's episode - the way Cromwell trapped them all into admitting things they 'probably' (?!) hadn't done was quite spine chilling! Ann's execution was as gruesome as it no doubt really was - and a good time was had by all !!!!!!!! The Alaska progs are good, the fish head soup for the dogs looked quite vile, but they seemed to love it. Have really got my Kindle sussed now. The last thing was transferring photos from my lap top to the cloud on Kindle. It took me all morning(!!!!), but I've cracked it and I've written it down else I'm bound to forget what I've cracked!!!

Afternoon All I seem to have been busy today .Just bits and bobs and I have just finished wrapping Hannahs presents. She may want to take them back with het on Sunday even though her Birthday isn't until the 10th.But we won't see her before then. The first thing I went to wrap was a new pair of trainers that I got Chris to order.Good job I checked the size.He had only ordered a size 6......She is a 4 :-S :-S.So they are boxed up again ready to be sent back .Chris has now ordered the right size (triple checked by me :-D).It's been one of those days where he has got on my nerves.I think he knows it as he said earlier I'm going out to the Summerhouse to get out of your way. My answer was "good" :-D..Better out there than having words.
We are going to see Second Marigold Hotel on March 22nd in Northampton.Don't tell me if it is rubbish Ann :-D
Frank I bet you are sleeping well now because of all your disturbed nights you had.I must have fallen asleep last night about 9.30.I woke to see Chris in the bedroom all dressed .I thought it was the morning.....No ..it was only 11pm :-S :-S.Thought I had been asleep for hours. Then I kept waking through the night so had a bit of a read on the kindle at 1.30 and again at 4.30.
I don't really mind bad language but the one word that I hate more than anything is the 'C' word.It makes me cringe.I can swear like trooper sometimes but would never use that word.
Bet you can't wait to hear what your neighbour will find out from the farmer Ann.How long before you get the new car? We are taking mine to Stratford tomorrow.so that is me driving.I do need to get it checked again though as it has started pulling to the left again :-S
Maureen that is a great idea to recover the chair .My sister is brilliant at that kind of thing.I wouldn't have a clue :-S :-S
Frank you have a beef smelling house .I have a curry one.Just done a Chicken one for James. It is our night for the boring low cal meals :-S.Mind you tomorrow we will be eating out and then a cooked breakfast at the hotel on Saturday morning...it is included so I couldn't possibly pass that lol
Mandy that's good the mirrors are fixed now.Any news on the vandals? I don't know what to pack for tomorrow.Just know it will something very cool for the theatre as I always get so hot.It always amazes me to see people in jumpers ,even coats.I am always the one in short sleeves lol
It looks like it is getting a bit breezy now.We haven't had any gusty wind like you Frank.(I mean the weather kind of wind ;-) ) I have just realised I have missed my Blood Donation today.I should have gone at 1.20 Now I feel guilty :-S

I've not ventured far today, which means some HW got done. All hoovered and dusted except the conservatory and just the bath and tiles left to do. OH joined in this afternoon, we had a hoover each, me doing the settees, the floor edges and under cupboards with the narrow pipe and him doing the rest. :-) lol. I did all the kitchen yesterday, so it will look good now for all of 5 minutes! :-S It's funny isn't it when a man sees what hard work HW is how he mutters about getting someone in to do it in the future!!
I made some marzipan and blueberry muffins yesterday, but hadn't bought enough ground almonds for them so had to substitute some extra flour. Despite me reducing the sugar in them I still thought they were too sweet but OH loved them. I even got told off for having one this morning as I'd said he could have what was left!
I'm sure the film will be good Jane with such great actors again. The car should be ready end of March/early April time so there's a few weeks to go yet. We must be due another new bulb on this one soon. :-S I'm hoping once we get the new car we can clean off the oily patch the old one has left on the block paving. It just left the odd drip after it had some work done on it once, not enough to ever need the oil topping up, but enough to look a mess on the drive. It was a good job you checked the trainers wasn't it and a change for it to be you watching him to make sure there wasn't a mistake! lol ;-)
Still no email from Frank with Ros's handiwork. :-(

I am not reading Liz's post as I hav'nt seen last nights Wolf Hall yet. I don't mind the occasional F but I hate the C one.As long as it is not too often I can take it but like Ann said it is the every other f ing this and f ing that that I get cross with as it is not necessary at all and there must be lots of people who would watch programs if they did'nt have all the swearing.
Done my weekly shop and can't get in the fridge now without having to take things out to find things. We can hold up for another week at least now.
I am just going to read Jane's and Ann last posts now.

GOOD MORNING ALL, Evening Kim,
What an absolutely beautiful morning, Clear blue sky's and not a cloud anywhere. It is cold out but we can live with
Ros mentioned that film this morning. She said we should go a see it. I can't remember the last time I was at the cinema,
Have a nice overnight stay in Stratford Jane. I'm glad you aren't going to STRATFORD EAST LONDON. :-D :-D :-D Not much there to entertain you.
I see no reason for all this swearing on television. I can swear like a trouper, but would never use any bad words in from of women and children. Even at times when Ros would make a SAINT SWEAR> :-D :-D :-D :-D
Glad you are up and running again Mandy. Any news on the CCTV ??
Last penalty of the game saw Liverpool go out of the competition. Last night. They were not very good.

Morning Frank and all and evening Kim,
Sunshine here too Frank blue skies with big high white cloud here and there.
When you get a morning like this it makes you feel good to be alive. :-D :-D :-D
Think it may inspire me to do some cleaning as it shows up the dust and cobwebs. I only did the cobwebs last week on Friday but they seem to come back over night or they are in places I have missed.
I only have the last Wolf Hall to watch now and I am saving that for tonight when there's not much on telly.
