Happy Holidays and Ruby Wedding Frank . Have a wonderful time <3

Thank you everyone . I can't believe it is 37 years. Chris says he is still waiting for his Dowry LOL . We will be off shortly.I am expecting Pizza Express to be full of families with lots of children as the Star Wars film is on on the other screen .So a peaceful lunch doesn't sound too likely :-S

Lots of rain in the night and it is not to clever now but at least the rain has stopped. Its too warm for a coat so I wont be taking one.

Happy Anniversary Jane, enjoy your lunch!
Miserable day here but not cold! We're off out this afternoon to the garden centre to look for a few plants especially a late clematis for the fence where the two bushes were as it looks so bare.
Hope you enjoy your holiday Frank, and everyone else has a nice day whatever you're doing.

Sorry to hear about your back Mandy. Take it easy today and rest as much as you can. Hope the pain eases soon for you <3

What a cheeky hog Mel, I don't suppose you managed to film it, Sandra would love to see it if you have?

Hope you find the plants you're looking for today Liz. I needed some creeping ivy but when I went to the garden centre they said they won't have it until the autumn so I'll have to wait until then. I put them in small pots to edge the borders so need some extra's for the new border we made.

You did make me laugh Jane when you said about Chris still waiting for his Dowry :-D :-D. He is funny. Hope your lunch isn't to noisy and it doesn't rain with you not taking a coat. It's overcast here now but still quite warm. OH has cut the lawns and he helped me move some more pots around so there's more colour in the side border now.

I've been in touch with someone about taking out the front hedge and putting a fence in it's place. The fella we had for the side gate and fence was to slow so I've rang someone else who's going to come round sometime this week to give us a quote.

Do we know what time Frank was flying? Hopefully they will be all settled in now and able to begin to relax.
How is your back tonight Mandy? Fingers crossed it was nothing more than a bad twinge.
How about your ribs today Anne? Any easier?

How about a nice pot plant for Di Mel ?

James is just home (VERY LATE) so dishing up his dinner now.
Busy mornig tomorrow for me. Hairdressers and the Beauty Salon for Eyebrow tidy and a look at any unsightly hair that might be lurking on my chin. I think it looks pretty good so nothing too much to deal with :-D
Just watching a programme on Pompeii . I went there in the 70's and it is one of the most interesting places I have ever been. I loved it .

Bunnyboo Report 30 May 2018 22:32

We've just watched the programme on Pompeii too Jane! As you say absolutely fascinating. Really looking to to tomorrow's episode! I've never been there, but my parents did and were completely amazed by what they saw. I haven't been further than Rome, Florence and Venice, all wonderful experiences!
We're in bed now, it's not that warm so we'll have to snuggle down!! ;-)

Morning all

Dull here today and it looks like we might be in for some rain. I wonder what the weather's like for Frank and Ros?

I didn't watch that programme Jane. I've never left the UK, well apart from when I went on a fear of flying course years ago, we flew over the UK and then landed again. It was okay but I don't think I'd want to go on a plane again. I don't have a fear of flying, just heights and there are to many windows on a plane so it's almost impossible not to see how high we were. I was okay once we were above the clouds, but didn't like the rest of it.

Nothing planned for today so I'll get back to my family tree. I've got a word document that was sent to me with all my Australian relatives on, there are 165 sections to get through and I'm only on number 51, so quite a way to go yet.

Do you watch Garden Recue on BBC.1 at 3.45 Mel? Yesterdays was all about a woman who takes in hedgehogs after they have been rescued and made better, she had a massive garden and they made all sorts of places for the hogs to live and even an area under a walkway so she could see where they had been. They put in a metal grill for her to walk over and put lots of leaves underneath it for the hogs to sleep or run around in, she could then see from above where they'd been. They also made a hog house under some decking with a little tunnel going from the garden. I watched it last night off the planner and they showed the little hogs at the rescue place before they went to her, they were so cute. I've kept it for Sandra to watch....she's going to love it.

Has your cheeky hog been back again?

Morning all,

Not a bad day out there this morning. Some sunshine but white cloudy skies.

Nothing planned for today so I shall see how the day pans out.

I should clean the chickens out but I have to empty my two wheelbarrows first.

Afternoon All
I am having one of those days when I am not quite with it :-S I lost my cars keys this morning and we searched everywhere . They were in my back pocket of my trousers!,then I missed my appointment at the hairdressers . I should have been there at 12 and I thought it was 2pm. I was in Tesco at 12 :-S. They did ring ,and then Chris tried to ring me but my phone was off.So I got home to be greeted by Chris saying"You aren't going to be very happy" I said "oh don't tell me they have cancelled my appointment". Then he told me I had missed it and to ring the salon. Luckily for me there was a cancellation at 2.30 :-D :-D. I made sure I was there in plenty of time :-D :-D.
It is so humid here now and quite sticky.I have the big fan on in the lounge. I am wondering if we might get some of this thunder that is forecast for some places. It odes feel like it could be possible.

Gill my Hairdressers OH did one of those fear of flying things some years ago now and I think it did help her although she is still a terrible flyer .I must admit that flying is not my favourite way of travelling but I am ok as long as there is no turbulence . I did have a horrible experience which almost put me off flying again.

I seem to be all behind today and haven't really got anything done. But I need to get dinner sorted . I expect Frank and Ros will be relaxing now in Sunny Spain.
Hannah arrived in Valencia this morning and will be with all her girlfriends now for another Hen Do. She will be staying on for an extra couple of days with Sarah who lives there.

Oh dear Jane, I get days like that sometimes! Never mind it's Pompeii tonight!! I'm not a happy flyer either. I used to be fine, but even a channel hop is a bit daunting these days, I can't believe the long hauls I've done when I/we were younger without batting an eyelid. Trouble is, if you can't fly, you can never go anywhere!! My 92 year old aunt flies to Australia early in Dec every year to stay for six months with my cousin (her daughter) and her family! The rest of the year she lives with her son and family. It's a good arrangement, but how long she'll be able to do that flight (accompanied) is anyone's guess!
It sure is raining here!! after not a bad day! Next Tuesday I've got physio at 9.30!! think I shall get OH to take me, moral support and all that!!

Evening all,

It's been quite a grey day today but the children still wanted to have a dip this afternoon ,Jake Chelsea and Lacey ventured in but Katie said it was to cold for her , they had about half an hour in there and then came out and played with Max ,he's now curled up on the sofa fast asleep ,don't think we'll hear much from him for the rest of the day .

Back felt a little better today so we went and did the shopping this morning .

Oh Jane i think we all have days like that now and again at least you got an appointment in the end so that was good.
I do hate it though when you lose things and you've only had them a few minutes earlier ,i was hunting for my sun glasses the other day and i knew i had had them when i sat out ,i hunted all over and i just happened to look down and there they were folded up and hooked onto the front neck of my t shirt :-D talk about under your nose :-D

Yes i expect Ros and Frank have been lapping up the sun and i bet Frank has had a few nice cold beers ,i meant to ask what he eats when he's out there as he does like his roast dinners .

Liz,92 is a great age to still be flying that distance!!!. She sounds quite a fit lady to be able to still do this every year. Yes Pompeii again. I would love go back there but would love not to be in the hordes of tourists.I think when I went back in the early 70's it wasn't as busy as it is now.

We have had a shower but it seems tot have passed over now.Thomas has taken a liking to my new sun lounger I bought this week in Aldi.He spends hours on it and even when it started to rain he still stayed there until the rain got a little heavier. He then dashed in ,did a wee in his tray :-S and is now asleep again on the settee.

Our next door neighbour came round last night to ask Chris for his signature on his passport form.He came back from Germany on Tuesday and the Border Security chap wouldnt let him back in as he said he didnt look like the photo !!!. It took him 5 hours to assure them it WAS HIM.So he needs a new passport with a new photo. While he was here I asked him is there was any development on when his bungalow would be demolished.....The good news was that they still have not agreed a price for the bungalow with the developers. So nothing is going be happening for months and probably into next year :-D :-D. Certainly not this year . PHEW! It is always on my mind ,so now I can forget about it for a while :-D

Liz, You will be fine at Physio. I didn't take Chris with me .He just dropped me off and picked me up afterwards. You have now reminded me I MUST do my exercises !!!!

Bunnyboo

Bunnyboo Report 31 May 2018 19:27

Ian won't come in Jane, I think he'll go off to Waitrose which is just up the road, and then pick me up!
We've thought we'd like to go to Venice, I've been there but Ian hasn't, but as you say about Pompeii, it too is heaving with tourists and cruise ships these days which has rather put us off!! very different from when I went with my parents in June 1961!!! So we shall almost definitely have a change of plan!!
Good news about your stay of execution!! Let's hope the new development won't be too intrusive!
Watching the chateau!!

Oh Jane, what a day you've had, I bet you're glad it's over. You were lucky to get the cancelled appointment at 2.30. I think apart from the height of the plane we had lots of turbulence and was told we couldn't take of seat belts off, it made me feel a bit trapped and to top it off as soon as we took our seats the cabin crew asked if OH could open the door in an emergency as we were sitting right by the door, of course that didn't help. I almost got off the plane before they closed the doors but OH stopped me. I'm glad I did it as I was having lots of problems with the family over it so in a way it stopped them having a go at me. I got a certificate for doing it and still have it somewhere. At least I did it which I'm proud of, even if I never go back on a plane.

92 is a good age and still flying to the other side of the world Liz. I hope I'm that active when I'm older. Good luck with your physio next Tuesday.

Yes Frank will be sitting in the sun while we're here wondering about thunder storms, luckily man. I've just watched the weather and it looks like we're going to get a thunder storm tonight and tomorrow. Last Saturday poor Sandra lost her programme due to the weather in London, it came back on but took around 20 minutes.

Fancy your sunglasses being right under your nose and you didn't notice when you were moving around trying to find them Mandy, it made me smile when you told us :-) Mind you, it's easily done. Pleased to see your back is a little better today and the children enjoyed the swimming pool, I'm sure Katie will go in once it warms up a bit.

Going to watch "Britain's Got Talent" with Sandra and OH, it's just come on.

Liz, Venice has to be one of my favourtie places. We have been 3 or 4 times now. We have always been in either early May or late September .It is always too busy but that tends just to be in the main areas ,when the cruise ship passengers and day trippers arrive.Away from those really touristy areas it is great .Just walking around the back alleys and coming across little squares where just the local people are is the best.
I keep saying to Chris I want to go back again and even if he didn'twant to go I would be quite happy to go on my own. I know the place quite well so even if I did get a bit lost I would always be able to find my way back to the Hotel or wherever.
I think you would really love it. Florence too is another place I loved .For a more gentle pace are the Lakes.Como and Garda are such beautiful places. I think you can tell I love Italy :-D :-D
