Afternoon All
Oh dear Frank, poops, wees and now sick :-S.. I wonder why Lenny has started messing like this. He didn't do it when he first came to stay. I think you will be pleased when you get the place back to yourselves now.I hope the carpets haven't been stained. You have been busy today.
Mel ,can you not get your prescriptions delivered to you rather have ot go to Holsworthy every time?
I have been watching the mens tennis .The match is going on for ever. They must be so hot and tired now . But boy what a great match it is.I have done the ironing and watched at the same time but now I am back by the fan . Chris is reading his book on the recliner under the Bay Tree. He looks very comfortable down there. Thomas is a bit miffed the seat has gone LOL as that is his favourite place to have a sleep. James is at the Races with his Boss and work colleagues. They go every year. He looked very smart in his Blue suit with a collarless linen shirt.Fingers crossed he has placed good bets :-D. From there he will drive down to Canterbury to Jess for the weekend. Hannah and Gareth are off to Gareths Parents tonight. I think they will be so glad to get out of the heat in London and be in the Cotswolds :-D no doubt Gareth will get Hannah down the farm to see the new calves and the new Bull called Nicko. Not sure that Hannah will be too keen LOL .Cows are not her favourite animal.
5th set now in the mens semis . I wish they would hurry up now and finish :-D

That's a point! We used to have that arrangement with the prescriptions when we lived in Somerset. The surgery (6 Miles away) sent them out to the village shop every month for easy collection. They may well do the same for you Mel!

Good evening all
We arrived back this afternoon, after a really lovely week, we went to Weymouth on Sunday it was too hot really at 30 degrees, it was quiet an effort for me to walk about 4 hours it was all on the flat thankfully. other places we visited were Corfe Castle a pretty village as well as the ruined Castle and West Bay Bridport We went out every day it was Becky's birthday on the Tuesday and she wanted to go shopping to spend some of her birthday money. Paul had bought some birthday decorations including 6 balloons with 16 on them which he put up on the morning.
Abbie only stayed one night she fell out with her sister,[ 6 of one and half a dozen of the other] over the light in the bedroom Becky likes a light and Abbie likes pitch dark, neither would compromise so she caught the train back home from Yeovil. I had offered to get her a face mask which shuts out the light or move her mattress down into a little games room on the ground floor but she still went off in a strop
We took a different route home we went through the New Forest instead of past Stonehenge which caused a big tailback last Friday.
I haven't read many of the posts yet but will try and catch up later. Ruby has done nothing but sleep since we got back

Welcome home Anne. You shound like you had a lovely time on holiday with lots of places to go.
Had a look round he shops in Holsworthy and bought myself two short sleeve tops and a viscose top in white with lots of flowers and berries on it. It dos'nt really hang right so I may have to take the sides in a bit. I would have bought a smaller size but they did'nt have it smaller so I bought the 20/22. I find Viscose quite cool as I can only wear that or cotton. It has long sleeves with a big cuff on the ends and its lower at the back than the front. I also bought some more wool in there and a few more bits and got a scratch card which gave me so much off my buys and I got a free beach towl because I spent over £25.Much cooler here tonight in fact when I shut the chickens in it was quite chilly.

Good morning to you all,
Couldn't sleep again last night, was back in the lounge by midnight, Sat and read until 2,30. Went back to bed and got HICCUPS. Gave up, and came and drank a pint of water, went back and blow me they started again. Again came ou to the lounge nd let the dogs out. As it was approaching 4.30 I left the door open to the garden.
When I came out at 8.00 am the door was locked. Ros must gave looked in and saw it open. HOORAH NO MESS from Lenny from his body fluids, BUT he had found a tissue and tore it into a thousand pieces. On top of that he had chewed th petals from a pot plant on the hearth, there was mess everywhere. Out came the Dyson and I had a job of clearing the bomb site.
Jo is flying into Birmingham around 11.00 am this morning, so should be here by 2.00. She's not staying, so will have a coffee and set off back to DEVON.At last PEACE WILL REIGN in our home. ;-) ;-) ;-)
Conrad rang from his carats night. hey were on their way to have a SUSHI meal. He asked how the dogs had been and Ros told them exactly what the little B had been unto Jo said sh would pay to get the carpets and suite cleaned, but of course Ros said no. !!! 2nd COT calling, see you later.

Morning Frank, morning all
Sunny again today after RAIN yesterday, it was so nice to have a decent downpour and the plants loved it, my Hebe has got some lovely white flowers on it now.
It sounds like you've had a time of it with Lenny Frank, hopefully your place will be clean and tidy again soon. At least Jo offered to have your carpet and suite cleaned, even if Ros said no.
Welcome home Anne, nice to see you had a great time away. I suppose you'll have all the washing to do now, I remember when we used to take the girls away when they were younger, the washing machine was on for hours on our return.
Have you altered your top yet Mel, it sounds really pretty? Has Mr Fox left your chickens alone now?
OH is still digging, he's decided to dig a bit of a trench then break down the soil and put it back in the hole at least it won't be so hard then and we will be able to plant the new plants. I'm beginning to wish we hadn't taken the old plants out now, it looks so bare, but most of them were right on the boundary so I suppose we didn't have a choice with needing to put the fence in. I might take a look online for some ideas, you don't see many front gardens being done on the gardening programmes, it's normally just back gardens.

Morning all,
Another day of blue sky with big white clouds but at least it gives a bit of shade from the sun now and then.
Hav'nt seen Mr Fox lately Gill and the girls hae been staying in their pen so thats good. Oh did mow a bit of the clover in the back field the day before yesterday and we put that in the run to which they had a good scratch about for the leaves and bits of grass. They don't eat the flowers though and there's plenty of those at the moment. Yesterday they had a cabbage and I have one for them later today.
Egg delivery day so I better box them up ready. I also must remember I have a little pattern for Anne down the shop.

Hi Gill and Mel,
I forgot to mention that I got my X ray results on Thursday when I had my injection. The nurse said I have extreme Osteo Arthritis in my right shoulder. She did mention the joints, but I couldn't pronounce them yet alone spell them. I have an appointment to see he Doctor next week. My blood Pressure was checked and that is fine 124/80 I think that's what she said lol lol.
It's turned very HUMID. Lots of clouds and so depressive .
Not sure if I will go and see England play this afternoon. The place will be heaving and more noise than I think, I want today I am not feeling 100% I am putting it down to the weather.
What you up to this afternoon ?? I think it will be to heavy o do too much.

I think oh has done some filling in of the pot holes in our road. We had some bags of tarmac laying out in the sun to warm them and I see two have gone when I went round to do the chickens. Now he is out the back of the bungalow in the sun!!!!! but I DON't know what he's doing.
I am just going to do the egg delivery and the shop and I have a pattern to take to Anne in the shop.
See you later.

Afternoon Everyone Muggy is the word Frank. It feels worse now than earlier. The sub seems to have gone and it is just all cloud . Next door has the stinkiest bonfire again. I would love to know what they burn as it is thick black smoke. I was about to put my washing out but have held back on that for now. The bonfire is a good few hundred feet away from our house but even so its pretty bad.
So Lennys bags will be packed now then Frank :-D :-D. You won't be wanting him back in a hurry at least until his toilet training is sorted. I wonder if you might have physio for your shoulder? Maybe an op !! At least you know now the cause of the pain you have been having.
My Sister is needing another complete Knee replacement :-(. She is going to be so worried about having it as the one on the other knee was not a good outcome. The Consultant said there is no point doing any Keyhole surgery or even a partial replacement .She needs the whole sheebang. But she will wait until after the summer holidays and all the Granchildren are back at school.
We had such a rude awakening at 4am this morning. It was a Muntjac .The noise it made had me leaping out of bed thinking someone was being murdered. I t must have been in next doors back garden but very close to our house. It was far too dark to see where it was but I did manage to get a recording of the noise it made. I will send it ,but there is nothing to see just the sound. Turn the sound up and that it will be the same as what I heard. It better not be doing the same again tonight. I had only just gone back to bed after letting Thomas out at 3.40 !!
Gill,OH is a glutton for punishment isn't he .All that digging still in this heat! I expect you will be running him another cool bath :-D
Glad all the girls are safe Mel and no sign of Mr Fox. That top you bought sounds really nice.I quite like those top with a longer back than the front.I have a few like that .
Ann ,it sounds like you had a lovely time away ,even though a bit hot for all the walking. It is such a lovely county. Shame though that Abbie went off in a strop like that. Sounds like a typical teen :-S. I hope it didn't spoil the holiday. How old is she now? Having 2 sisters squabbling is not want you need on your hols. You offered her a good alternative . Maybe she is at the age now when she might not want to go on family holidays . I think our two were 15 or 16 when they decided they were happier to let us go on our own (they could then party LOL ) Teens eh !!!!!!
The bonfire is still chuffing but has died down a lot now. So hopefully soon I can get the washing out.
I stayed up until just after 10.30 watching the tennis last night but could stay awake no longer. The rest of the Nadal and wotsisname starts again in a little while. I think they had to stop play at 11pm last night as there is a cut off point time wise at Wimbledon. So I shall be on the settee with the fan again in half an hour.

Good morning Mel and ALL,
Very hot again this morning. I had my usual bad night, but must admit to having a doze in the afternoon. I did stay up till after 11.30 so I thought I would sleep.
It was nice getting up and not have to look around for any "PARCELS" from Lenny. ;-) ;-) ;-)
I thought that sounded like a fox to Mel, Though I must admit I haven't heard a Muntjac before.
Half way through the Veg for tonights dinner. Ros has changed the bed, the sheets are just hanging there in the heat.
It's Simon and Sally's 3rd wedding Anniversary today. We had sent to them a selection of "PASSION FLOWERS" from a garden site on line. They have arrived and have been planted. We are going over Thursday Morning to see them and take Simons Birthday Present, and meet their friends who are over from Ireland for a few days.
Ros is weeding behind the pots by the conservatory , which don't get seen being where thy are.
I picked FIVE runners beans last night. There are a few more little ones that might be ready later in the week. It will be nice to eat our own rather than from KENYA. !!!
Only watched the first half of Englands match yesterday. What a terrible performance. I don't know whey everyone in singing "IT'S COMING HOME" It should be "THEY ARE COMING HOME" ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) Might watch the Final.

Afternoon all,
<3 Happy Birthday William hope you enjoy your day <3
Gosh Jane what a noise early in the morning you wouldn't want to be woken with that every day ,so you say it's a fox Mel i wouldn't know as i've never heard one although they are about this way as a few years ago i was looking out the window early one morning and saw one walking down the road .
Children have been for a dip this morning ,now the pump is on and we have to give it a good clean to get the bits off the bottom that they take in on their feet ,we have a bowl at the bottom of the steps so they can step in to get any bits off their feet but there's still bits going in .
Our runners are very behind this year we have two different ones ,some flowers are now appearing on one lot but the stringless ones are really behind . I have been picking Cucumbers ,11 so far ,DIL takes a couple at a time as the children love it cut into sticks as a snack. Tomatoes are coming along nicely but it will be a while before they are ready to pic.
How's the front garden going now Gill ? i hope your OH isn't out digging in this heat again .
Mel what will you be putting into the village show ? you've made some nice things .
I made the girls some bunting for their bedroom ,they have hung it round on their bunk beds .

Hi Mandy, I bet the children are in paradise being in and out of the water. I could do with one here.
My neck and shoulder are really sore, I have been scraping Cornish potato's, they are so small and fiddle. Having o keep turning hem around in my right hand has really played up the muscles in my arm going to my shoulder and neck. I am wondering if a SLING might help What do you think NURSE JANE ??? I am hoping the Doctor doesn't want to start injecting my shoulder with cortisone. I had those in my hand, before they finally operated. NOT NICE
Yes Mel they are he beans you recommended. The slugs and snails had a lot of them but the rest are well in flower, we have put others in to replace the ones eaten and they are just getting up the canes.
Ros has has a right old clear out of the flower beds by the garage. I expect more plants will appear next time she goes shopping. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) She hates to see bare earth. :-D :-D
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILL" Did th family come over for lunch or did they take you and Carmel out ???
Nice piece of LEG of Pork for tonight. I have salted the skin well after scoring it. So should have som nice crackling, for Ros. I can't eat it with my gnashesers !!!
Not getting any cooler, I can hear Ros talking to a FROG. I wonder if it will turn into a PRINCE for her :-D :-D :-D <3 <3 <3
