Evening all

Dull start today but then it went hot again this afternoon. OH took up all the gravel in front of our bedroom window by the front door as we want to flag that area, the gravel is getting kicked about when people come to the door. We then went out to try and find some plants but didn't see anything we liked, so we'll try somewhere else when we're ready to plant them. OH is doing some more digging on the border tomorrow as I can't put any plants in anyway until the ground has been sorted. According to today's weather it's not going to rain tomorrow after all.

I'm so pleased it's not Cancer Frank, at least that's one less worry for you. I wouldn't worry to much about your BP, I was worrying about OH if you remember, but like the other's have said, if needs be then you can take some pills. It's wonderful what can be done nowadays. Yes, I noticed we were on page 3000 too, 3001 now.

Pleased to see all went well at he dentist Jane, hope all goes well with the X Rays too. We're watching the England match now, England scored quickly didn't they? We're now winning 1-0. It'd be nice to see them in the final.

The scaffolding sounds just the job Liz, it did arrived quickly, brilliant service, now your OH can crack on with the job without having to wait to long. I meant to say we have a baby Robin, which actually looks like a ball of fluff on legs, that keeps flying around us in the front garden. It's so tiny and cute.

Your Robin's sound lovely Mel. Love the photo's. Pleased to see your chicken was okay in the end. That poor little boy and his mum, that was nice of you to help them. It sounds like your OH is getting on well with the painting, has he got much more to do?

Meant to say Jane, the email of Janice came through blank, would it be possible to send it again please? Thanks.

Going to carry on watching the England match now.

Frank I missed your post about your eye appointment and am very pleased it is only blood pressure and not the other thing.

We are having the day of the ants today, well this evening actually. They covered the roof of my car and the birds have been having a field day.

Yes Jane I was so pleased when I saw her and thought I was down to 6 so would miss her eggs. I shall have to check them again tonight. I did when I corned them and they were all in then.

Talking of birds and ants. One week a year, for some reason, we get flying ants in our kitchen.....yuk. Thankfully this year there were only a few and right by the back door, probably making their way outside, well we have a blackbird we call proper scruffy and he was trying to get into the kitchen to eat the ants, I've never known a bird like him. We were watching the TV with the back door open and again he jumped onto the doorstep, luckily OH moved his arm, (his seat is near the kitchen door right by the back door) so when he moved it made the bird jump and he flew off. We have to keep an eye on him now, the cheeky minx.
I noticed before he'd been in all my pots and there was soil everywhere, luckily they were pots with no plants in them so we've just put all the soil into bags and put the pots into the shed. I wonder what he'll do next ;-) He is cute though, but I definitely don't want him in the bungalow, so will have to keep an eye on him.

If you see it by the back door Gill stamp your foot to frighten it away or clap your hands. I have to chase Boris Blackbird off the worms I put down for the robins. He always knows when the Robin comes over there are worms about and I am not at all pleased with him at the moment as I went down to pick my blueberries today as there were loads ripe yesterday and he had eaten them all. He got through the fleece I put round the plants and the breeze has blown it open at toone point. Later I looked down the garden and he was sitting on top of one of the bushes tubs under the fleece!!!!!I had to go down and put some netting around the bottom of the pots where the fleece had'nt reached.

Beautiful morning here, must get on though as OH has a phone call booked from our GP after midday and we need to get the shopping in! His treatment starts on Monday so I won't be posting very much from now on as our lives are just going to be one long round of hospital appointments and I think it's going to be rather gruelling for both of us. I hope perhaps Ann will feel that she can rejoin you all if I'm not around. I know she doesn't post because of me which is a bit sad but obviously her choice, so it would be nice for you all to have her back.
Here comes Cas, so best get on!

Morning Liz, morning all

I've felt a few spots of rain this morning but nothing much so OH and I are going to have another go at the front garden. I think he's getting fed up of it, he was in a foul mood all day yesterday and again this morning. I suggested wetting the ground to soften it, he's not to keen as he thinks it'll make it to heavy to lift, but will try anyway. I suppose time will tell if it's easier to dig or not.

Good luck to Ian for all his appointments Liz. It sounds like you've got a busy day ahead of you.

It sounds like you have a cheeky blackbird the same as us Mel. When I went outside this morning there was soil all over the patio again.......I bet it was him. Birds will be birds I suppose, but it's annoying sometimes isn't it?

Did you get my email Jane? The second email you sent was also blank. Don't worry if you can't send it through.

I see England lost last night, hope Frank wasn't to upset about it. I think they did well to get as far as they did.

Well, I'd better go and help OH in the garden. I'll try and get back on here later if I'm not to tired.

If you're looking in Ann <3 <3 HAPPY BIRTHDAY <3 <3 Hope you have a lovely day.

<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANN <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Morning all,

another hot one here but not too bad at the moment as there is some light clouds in the blue sky but I expect they will clear later on.

Nothing planned for today for me so will see how I get on with fiddling about. I have to wash my hair and recue some seedlings that have come up where I want to put one of my fairies on the patio. I once had a bunny rabbit plant in the tunnel and it self seeded evry year and I brought one plant down here and it now self seeds its self all along the gravel at the edge. It stays in the winter too and flowers the next year so I want some to put up the border. It either has deep magenta flowers or white!! In the tunnel it was a mauvey pink and some seedlings were white up there too. Such a good doer I always left it where it wanted to grow. I hav'nt been up there lately but I bet there are some up there even though the tunnel dos'nt have a cover on it now and is covered in weeds.

So Frank did you sleep better last night? I hope so, you may have had the eye appointment on your mind the night before.

Frank

Frank Report 12 Jul 2018 11:52

Good morning fair MAIDENS, I slept so well last night, got out to the loo at about 4.30. up again at 7.00 to let the dogs out, and decided to go back to bed. I dropped off again and SLEPT until 9.45 am. I Never do that, but I did have a bad night the night before. I had an incredible dream. I was at a swimming pool complex, and swam the length of the pool and went into the BAR AREA, only to find MY Mum and Dad. Brothers JIM,JACK, BILL, TED and my sister JEAN. There are all of their partners there also with all the children, including my two as well, with ROS. Where that cam from I will never know. Dad was in his CHIEF PETTY OFICERS UNIFORM.

So mr fox missed out on his supper the Mel, !! You will have to be more careful and check them every night.

You did very well with your Dentist Jane, It must be nice to have a mouth full of teeth lol lol. All I could see of Janice was her finger nails lol lol

Rather over cast here this morning, but I expect the sun will burn it off as usual.

Ros has a foot appointment at 1.15 today, and I have my injection at 2.30 pm. I will get the nurse to check my BP

Will will miss your postings Liz, but with all you have on your plate I can understand it. I hope all the treatments go well for Ian. Give him my regards.

What can you say about ENGLANDS Performanc last night. KANE might as well stayed in he dressing room, for all the good he was to the team. A very bad result, I can't even say the best team won. I think France will win the FINAL.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANN.I hope you have had a lovely day <3 <3 <3 <3
I don't know why the video clip of Janice in the helicopter didn't work. it was only a few seconds so i shalln't bother trying again.

I am not long in from the hairdressers. It was a 4.30 appointment which is later than usual for me. Chris was home when I got in and he has had a good time at the Art Fair.
I think it is beginning to hot up again now, and I need to get the oven on for dinner.

Evening all,

<3 <3 <3 Happy Birthday Ann <3 <3 <3

It's been quite dull here all day and a lot cooler which has been nice after all the heat ,it should be warming up again by the week end though.

Family have just gone home they called in for a cuppa it has been to chilly for them to go in the pool.

Liz i too wish OH all the best with his treatment over the next few weeks ,once it's over you can have a nice relaxing holiday and hopefully you'll be back posting again .

Loved seeing all the little Robins Mel ,how is OH getting on with the painting i bet he's glad it's been cooler so he can get on .

Jane the little clip of Janice came out ok here ,Janice didn't look nervous at all and the view was wonderful.

Friday again tomorrow where has the week gone , Colin has been going through all his work stuff ,ladders deals etc etc and has a chap coming to buy some ,i think he's sad really getting rid but if he's never going to use them again whats the point in keeping stuff and it will make more room round the shed .

Mandy make sure oh keeps one ladder at least cos you may need it for the gutters or a roof repair. does your son do roofing and building like Colin. I thought he worked with his dad.

Oh has not been too good today. I think he is getting too much sun. He's asleep now and has been since about 6pm.

Liz I do hope Ian's treatment goes off ok and we shall all be thinking of you both. Then not long before that nice holiday so you can both relax and take it easy after you're grueling weeks at the hospital. <3

Friday the thirteenth , STAY AWAY FROM TROUBLE.

Good morning to you all,

Ros has decided this is the last time we will have Jo's dogs. JJ has been no trouble but Lenny has been nothing but trouble. Every day he pees somewhere in doors, even though the door to the garden is open from 7.00 am He is also taking to POO every night in the house. Jo told us he was HOUSE TRAINED. Yesterday I trod in a poo on the carpet/mat in front of the cooker. Also yesterday I was at the sink, when he squatted down and had a pee. This morning, I found another poo on the mat under the cooker. It's becoming NO JOKE. He has even scratched up a bit of carpet in the pourch and chewed a hole in that.

When they go home Sunday morning, I will get the carpet cleaner out and give the carpets and mats a good clean. We will the get back to a normal life. Thank Gawd it was only a week :-| :-| :-| :-| If it had been TWO I would b pulling my hair out.

Took my denture back to the technician yesterday afternoon, and can collect it today after 3.00 pm

I see Ann and Gordon had a nice meal out for her Birthday. They do seem to find some nice places.

So I expect Chris had a good couple of days away on his own Jane. What was it he went too.??

Mandy, Colin must feel that getting rid of his tools etc, is a bit of a wrench. It brings to the end of his working life. I hope he will enjoy his retirement, has he got hobbies he can concentrate on ??

Nothing happening here today , just a bit of reading and lazing around. It certainly has helped having BARRY coming. I find things that need doing, and can leave them until he comes. Not having to do the lawns, is very helpful.

Both dogs are crashed out on th Kitchen floor, where it's nice and cool.

Have a nice day folks, and hope Anne is having a nice holiday. When is she back.??

Morning Frank and all,

O dear Frank thats not what you want lenny peeing and pooing all over the place. Can't you shut him in the conservatory at night. Has it got a hard floor as it would be easier to wash down.

We have another hot day today and I have to go into Holsworthy for our scripts. This is the first time I have had to do it and its a nuisance already and I hav'nt been yet. I do however wnt to go and have a little look at a place Ann at the shop told me about that sells some good felt. I may just go on to there and have a nose if she is open. Its on a farm and they do lets too.

Just a quickie to thank you all for your good wishes. As you say Mandy I may well rejoin you all in the autumn after our holiday when all this is behind us. :-)
Oh dear Frank! I'm not that surprised!! Puppies are such hard work for many months, so perhaps a little unfair to put this onto you both! Anyway only two more days :-D
Take care one and all <3

Frank Report 13 Jul 2018 13:22

Hope everything goes to plan for you and Ian, will be thinking of you both.

There's me saying I will be lazing around. SOME CHANCE. I have painted the side of the shed. When I went to put the lid on the tin, I had to use the hammer to tap it on. The lid flew off, and the hammer went into the paint splashing it over me and the patio. Out came th hose, to wash the the paint off the patio and my gardening slippers. With that done, I thought I would scrap the potato's for dinner tonight.I also made a Ratatouille. We will have that with minted Lamb steaks. I have noticed that the onions are starting to go soft in the middle, so will have to see about getting new ones. At the moment I am pushing the centres out of them. The rest is alright.

The DYSON isn't lasting long in between charges. I am wondering if the battery needs replacing. Does anyone know how long they should last. Ours is around 3/4 years old. I've looked on line, but nothing tells you.

Have been drinking water like a FISH, I am on my third bottle.

Mel, Ros has bought some "PUPPY MATS" that we put by he conservatory door at night. The little Bu@@er has only used them ONCE.

Ros has just called that LENNY has been sick on the rug. Part of his breakfast, and chewed leaves from the garden. Roll on Tomorrow when Jo is back.
