I have to say that I am very impressed with my OH's reaction to having these eye injections.....he's as good as gold...and yet he hates jabs of any kind....aw...bless. <3

Got a nice lot of ironing done today.......one happy bunny.... :-D

Found out that son has done something to his knee and is now on crutches!!! Can't work or drive for 2 weeks. :-( The other thing is, he is waiting for news about another back operation.........kids eh?

Hello everyone,

I finally made it out to lunch with the friends I had to cancel on when I had my fight with the pavement last year.

One of them stays abroad but is over for a visit. It was good to catch up.
Then I went to make an opticians appointment and they had a free slot :-D

So have now picked new specs :-D

Linda

Linda Report 10 Mar 2014 20:46

Good morning all :-)

Thank you for the tea and muffins Ginns - they are yummmyyy !!! <3

Cynths, your OH is indeed very brave, I know I wouldn't like having to have all those injections in my eyes :-(

I thought it was just a course of treatment he was having - does he have to have this done for ever now ?

Hope your son is soon mobile again - 'It never rains but it pours' does it ? :-( :-(

Wishing everyone a lovely day. <3

See you all later,

Morning all...and thank you for the muffins Gins..... :-D

Not sure about the injections Dea.....he will be speaking to the consultant next time. It would be good if things soon settle down because the lenses in his specs need altering I suspect.

Picking up children and son later - belated pancakes for them... :-D

Gorgeous morning so I think a walk is in order...

Morning everyone,

Dry, sunny and still cold. Think we will take the girls to the park after lunch :-D

Cynthia your OH is very brave having those injections in his eye.

I hate getting the little puff of air in my eye when you are getting an eye test :-)

Off to tidy up (waste of time really cos the girls are here) then it will be time to pick up O from nursery :-)

Dea

Dea Report 11 Mar 2014 10:50

My you are an early bird today Linds :-D :-D

Like you, I do not like it when they puff air onto your eye for the test but my one extremely embarassing time that I remember was many years ago when I had some sort of test where I had to put mychin onto a rest and my head touched against a metal thing going around my forehead, then something came towards me and actually touched my eyeball.

Well, as it aproached, my eye just closed tight and I couldn't re-open it without prising the lid up and holding it there with my fingers. I was SO embarassed but I didn't seem to have any control over my eyelid - It just shut tight every time the 'thing' came near to me. :-0

Anyway, we managed to get through it and thankfully I haven't had that same test again :-S

I see the dreaded 'error message' is back - it has taken me nearly half an hour to get back on here :-(

Been out for a nice lunch and then I caught up with the final couple of episodes of 'Call the Midwife.'

Dea,

We were up early for the girls and I took the chance to pop on and clear some emails :-)

Gins good save ;-) It's good to get all your loose ends tied up. at your age we wouldn't want you tripping over anything might break something runs fast >>>>>>>

Our radiators are being done at 9am tomorrow.

We took the girls to the park to feed the ducks and swans.

Then went into the café for a cuppa O had a babychino and pancakes.

The table was too small for all the plates ,cups etc and as I was reaching across to give F a bit of pancake I knocked my cup of tea over and it went all over her legs :-(

Luckily it wasn't hot barely warm I did react quickly by pushing the highchair away from the table.

Grabbed her out of it and whipped off her leggings she wasn't even marked :-D

PHEW!!!

Then my mobile rang it was the guys delivering the radiator (they were meant to call me 10 minutes before they were coming)

Just as well we weren't far away ;-)

Just hope they have the radiators finished before we get the girls at lunchtime :-)

Linds, you're like a female version of Selwyn Froggitt!!!!!

Windows............didn't realise that the inside sills had not been included in the quote.

Spoke to the guy and he said if I'd had white frames, he would have chucked them in for free

He has to colour them cream and I am waiting for a quote!

Kettle is on.....................................
