Right. Sorted. Let washing commence....... :-D


Off to see son this afternoon...........isn't it funny how our generation still refer to 'Hopalong Cassidy'.......the youngster haven't a clue what we are on about.... :-D :-D

Cynthia I may have missed you posting but hope your OH got on ok on Thursday.

Yes Dea I was feeling proper yukky yesterday at one point they were threatening to keep me in.

Then when they eventually let me out I was under instructions to go straight to emergency if I didn't improve by bedtime :-(

I am all right now and the peppermint cordial helped Dea <3

Now all I have to do is loads of washing, housework and weekly food shop.
Oh and collect my new glasses which were ready on Thursday.

Don't overdo things though, you need a couple of days to rest.

I can't sit and look at the state of the house Dea it annoys me.

J has got a stinker of a cold he is feeling so rotten that he hasn't even gone to the football.

I have to do a shop if we want to eat but might do a mini one and just get what we need for the next couple of days.

Linds, you should be taking it easy

I've done nothing much today....loaded the dishwasher and washing machine and that's about it

With regards to looking at the state of the house Linds - There comes a day when you have to accept that you can do no more !!

I have told my grandchildren that I have started a 'dust collection' especially for them !!

They quite like it as they can keep their stones collection from the garden hiding in it too - they are not allowed it in their house so it is all the more special in mine !!!!!!!!

I did the food shop a BIG one :-)

Before I went I blew my top at my two sons told them they could have tidied up and put the washing on :-D

Also told them if they wanted clean clothes they better do the washing.

Maybe I should do it more often - all the housework was done, the washing was on and sons GF even made the dinner :-D :-D

Oh and when I got back with the shopping son came out can carried it in and helped me put it away :-D :-D

Result ;-)

I even have tomorrows dinner on cooking!

Now I am going to sit down and chill x

Glad you are feeling better Linds and that the 'telling off' worked. I often find that if I tell OH and daughter off together, they soon rally round with guilty looks on their faces. :-D

Mind you, I so rarely lose my cool that I think it shocks them..... :-D :-D

We've had all the seasons in one day here!

Was in the car with the window open and brilliant sunshine on my face, next, hailstones

I agree Cynthia I think I shocked them into action ;-)

Got 6 of us for dinner tonight :-)

Have "re-done" some of the housework still got the floors to steam clean and polish.

Had visitors who have just left.

Got to phone a relative who called while visitors were here.

Just having a cuppa then will get on with it all ....

a lovely sunny spring-like day here .................. but chilly!


OH had his "investigation" on Thursday ........... they found 3 sessile polyps (ie, they didn't have stalks), and removed them .......... but that causes more scarring of the colon wall, so he was on a soft food diet for the rest of Thursday and Friday.

He has to go back for another one in 3 months .......... if we understand the surgeon's handwriting :-)

He has to phone on Monday to clarify!


He was in fine fettle for last night's Opera Ball (ie, Saturday evening) ................. as usual, we had a great time ............

....... but my knee didn't like the chairs. So I'm back to being Limpy Lou, as we always call it :-)

Though Hopalong Cassidy has also been said about me :-D
