Good morning and thank you for breakfast dearest Dea..... :-D

I am still spending lots of time either typing up things for you-know-where, or putting flesh on my family tree. I actually found a picture of a pub which is still standing and where my gt.gt.gt. grandparents once worked. :-D

Sounds as though you had a great time Sylvs.........sorry about the chair probs and that you have the 'hobbles' again......hopefully it may settle down with rest.

Life is all go for Linds isn't it....?? Don't go overdoing things.......

Off to Liverpool this afternoon for OH's 6 monthly chat with the Consultant/Registrar. It's usually a case of tweaking the meds - so hope it's as simple as that.

The ironing will have to be done this morning.......and it's a beautiful day.

Quick browse and off I go...

I am very worried about 'our jonesey' - He still hasn't opened the pm I sent him almost 2 weeks ago !!!!!

Is anyone 'in contact' with him other than via this site?

Hi all

another sunny day :-)

Terrible about the landslide in Washington State ....... it's not that far from here, and we have much the same sort of terrain in many areas.

They're saying there could be as many as 108 people missing :-0

Daughter is 40 today :-0

where did the years go :-S

I don't feel that old :-D

OH slipped down to the surgeon's office early this morning ................... surgeon does want to see him in 3 months, so OH has to phone the secretary to make an appointment.

The sale of the property has crossed its next hurdle ....... the writing up and acceptance of the mortgage, which we are carrying for the next 2 years.

Closure is this Thursday :-D

take care everyone

Good morning and thank you for breakfast.... :-D

It's a bit damp this morning so not quite sure where we will get our morning exercise. Maybe it's time to do some purse string excercises ;-)

Dea, I am worried about Jonesey too. I have his email address but there has been no response to a recent message. :-(

Off for a quick browse and then a tidy up before a decision is made....... :-D

Gee

Gee Report 25 Mar 2014 11:30

It's buddy cold in here today, the only way to get warm is to shut the doors and sit in front of the fire

Dea, they have done a few of the windows upstairs but they are going to be here until Thursday as downstairs is a big job

Same damp weather here Cyns........it's not walking weather, that's for sure!

Gee

Gee Report 25 Mar 2014 17:37

Well, all the upstairs windows are in and they managed to get the kitchen one in too............they look fantastic, pale cream wood grain effect, which fits perfectly with the rendering

I can't believe how quickly they worked, there was only two of them.

They are back in the morning to address the huge bay, which stretches right across the front of the house

Dea

Dea Report 25 Mar 2014 17:49

It sounds very nice Ginns but I bet you are glad they have gone now and you can get warm ;-) :-D :-D

SylviaInCanada Report 25 Mar 2014 18:42

Hi all
xx

a rainy day here.

OH had to take the car in to the garage for work to be done this morning ................... it'll take at least 2 days, and the bill will be around $2,000 (or a bit less than £1,000), but it has to be done, so "bite the bullet" :-(

Gins .............. we had to have a whole outside wall replaced on the cabin because the wood was rotting.

We had it done in July ............................. it was the wall to the bedroom and to the kitchen. Neither had doors between them and the main room.

It was fantastic to see how the guys worked on removing the whole wall, and then re-building it.

It's quite easy when you have a wood building. :-D

Problem was ........... it was bloomin' cold, even though it was July!

I think it was about 6 or 7C, and pouring with rain.

I sat hunched over the wood stove in the main room, and OH kept me well supplied with logs to burn :-)

The closure on the sale of the cabin is this Thursday :-) We have to go and sign some more papers at the Notary later today.

OH has to have another colonoscopy done in 3 months time ................... he's just made the appointment for July 3

take care everyone

Hope all goes well this Thursday

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 25 Mar 2014 22:12

Glad the window scenario is being sorted Gins.......keep well wrapped up!

Have spent hours and hours on my tree today....enjoyed it though!

Tomorrow I am taking son for his pre-op assessment. If OH is okay, he will come with me but stay at son's with grandson. School are on strike or somesuch!!!

Think I had better head for bed......night all.....xx
