What a change in the weather! Belting down here

Good morning all :-)

Breakfast is served.............

Eggs benedict with fresh spring asparagus

Sausage and egg pie served with crispy bacon,

Cheese and onion or cheese and ham toasties,

Croissants, danish pastries, apple and cinnamon muffins,

Yoghurts, fresh fruits,

Freshly baked bread rolls, toast and an assortment of sweet and savoury spreads.

Why is it ???????????

When I slice a medium sized tomatoes into wedges, I first cut in half straight down the middle, then I cut the first half into wedges and I get 4, when I start on the second half I only ever get 3 wedges out of it yet they are all of roughly equal size???

I never get 3 out of the first half and 4 out of the second half - It ALWAYS works out 4 and then 3 ??? :-S :-S

Is this just a 'me thing' or does anyone else have the same experience??

The weather got better today but now its gone very dark

How's the eye Linds?

My eye is even more swollen today.

I popped back into the optician who said it might get worse and could take up to 2 weeks to get better :-(

I have to put heat on it for 5 minutes at a time (I use a teabag) Then you have to massage your eyelid 5-10 times in 30 seconds.

Finally you have to clean the eyelash line using either special pads (£9 for 20 ) or use a weak solution of baby shampoo in lukewarm water or you can use bicarbonate of soda in water.

You have to do this a minimum of twice daily. I am trying to do it 4 times a day.

then I have dry eye drops to use 4 times a day.


Just hope it clears up soon :-|

Where has the morning gone?

Eye routine, housework, eye routine. Lunch.

Babysitting for a couple of hours tonight and again tomorrow afternoon.

I am sure O will remember we have to bake :-)

Tell O, she dreamt it!

So, how is the eye?

The cleaning routine seems to be working - slowly. Optician said it could take two weeks to clear :-(

O won't forget. when we were leaving tonight I said "see you tomorrow" and she said "Gran did you get eggs so we can bake cupcakes?" :-D

We did have a laugh F led grampa by the hand upstairs to get "mouse" - her stuffed toy.

About 20 minutes later she takes his hand and says "up" she took him back upstairs into her room and pointed to her cot :-D

He put her on it and she went out like a light. It was so funny.

Our son says he wishes she would do that for them :-D :-D

Grandchildren are so funny aren't they Linds and they give you so much pleasure !

I am just waiting for the day when Ginns becomes a Granny - she says she never wants to but I know that when she does she will be as enchanted as the rest of us ;-) and I have to say that rather than making you feel old, they do actually keep you feeling young - I think it is all the smiling and giggling that they cause, amongst everything else. :-D
