	I don't. I don't have contact with anybody at facebook! I don't answer friends requests, etc etc. No way I'm being "me" at that place! or having any bit of me spread around it in others' friends lists, etc. This came straight from my gmail account. I've just seen that what I did last week was add a new email account to my fb account (one I haven't used to correspond with anybody! just for signing up to things), but not remove the old one. I've done that now. All the friends of my colleague are still showing up for me, but maybe they'll go away now.

	Janey - this is worrying! Does this only happen with gmail accounts or does it have access to your contacts on a 'personal' e-mail account also ?? Sorry to be 'thick' but I don't really understand these things. Dea Xxx

	Do you post on other peoples wall? You dont have to be a 'friend' as such for FB to link you with others! Ha ha... a bit like GR 'Hot Matches'

	hi all xxxx well fb obviously had access to my friend's email address list in order to send out those invitations that OH and I got yesterday I'm blessing the fact that I took JC's advice about gmail, and opened my very first gmail account in order to sign up with fb.

	we are now under major gale force wind warning winds up to at least 100km per hour, direction will change from northwest to southwest about noon or 1 pm. There is also a heavy rain warning associated with the storm all ferry traffic on all routes to and from the Island has been cancelled until at least 3pm, and probably all day radio stations are giving constant updates. Meanwhile ....... the area where I live has a slight breeze although we have had very heavy rain, some sun ................ and are surrounded by very dark, unpleasant looking clouds! s xx

	dea it is not a gmail address that I have for them ...................... but that dates from around 2004. They could now have a gmail account, but if so, they also must have transferred over both of our email accounts. s xxx

	I am lost now - sorry - not too technical !!! Are you saying that if I have joined FB - they have access to my e-mail account details and contacts etc. whether it is gmail or any other 'private' e-mail address ??? Dea x

	I have no idea what a gmail account is or would I know how to set up another email account got mine about 13 years ago when first got the puter and its the only one I have ever had. I dont want to get even more confused with another email and password to remember ja...x

	Almonds,Brazils,Cobs,Pecans,Pistachio,Cashew,Hazel and Walnuts.. Did I get you all? I have never had a problem with my Gmail Account on FB....Nobody sends me anything..But then again I did tick all the thingys to prevent any emails being sent to me via it from FB Why is it always JC and Sylvs that have these probs?? Anything with being in Canuckitystan maybe??

	Evening all It's not just gmail, it is all email accounts with fb. It asks would you like to contact friends from you email account and you have the option of yes or no. I've set mine up with a gmail account but have no contacts in the address book so it can't match me up with anybody from there.

	fans I didn't get the message on fb it was sent to my home email address ........ which is the one that this friend had. My first assumption was that she had sent it to me, but others on here yesterday said that fb could have sent it automatically IF she had clicked a tab or button or something that asked something like "do you wish to invite all your friends". I have had a couple of invitations in the past .................... from a couple of family members whe were going to be using fb to keep all "friends and family up to date with baby's development" I ignored all those .... even though they had told me that I would be getting an invitation. Now I think about it ............... they were quite similar in phrasing etc to the invite I got from D yesterday. s xx
