I googled him when we first tangled; he's smug and condescending. The old biddies who hang around here just love helping him, don't you know. Anyhow, one of his parents was born in Ireland, so how he could have that many English ancestors, I don't know. But I have indeed found some of the names he asks about in his tree here.

Use advanced search and search for the word "thanks" and the username TelegramSam. Will probably work with MfromM now too.

JC ....... no, I don't really expect him to recognize me, we only met a couple of times at social functions.

BUT he did work with OH, at one time they were in almost daily contact, and he has never acknowledged OH since the day Suzuki gave the university very short notice that he was going on leave to further his tv career.

and also, OH still looks the same as he did 40+ years ago.


we shall see what happens though when Suzuki comes to get his Honourary Doctorate from the university, and OH is one of the major figures in Ceremonies. I think he has said he is too busy to get it with everyone else at the May graduation ceremonies, so he wants to attend Fall Graduation.




I do agree that his life has not been easy ..... imagine being deported from your home to a concentration camp when you were around 4 years old. A concentration cmap in your own country, no less!

I've never been absolutely certain about it ... but regardless of what he's doing it for, he is having someone else do it. I can't believe the people who reply to his posts (and those of other people like him, the J*s one coming to mind) when they ask over and over, day after day, week after week, for long lists of (at least) far extended family member searches.

Yes, subs are expensive, but if you aren't doing the research yourself, what are you doing?? Collecting, is all.

What about the one on tips 115 look ups for 1911 so far always on that board too

Well we all have big families! -- if we decide to trace up to our grx5 grandparents and then follow every individual in every generation down to the present day! That's what the two of them appear to be doing. I can't even be bothered with that sort of thing for my own families, far from it, in fact. I don't much care what the grandchild of my grx4 grandparent's sibling got up to. Unless he became Lord Chancellor or some such. ;)

did you notice one posting the other day where dally claimed to have had ME, 2 children and a severely disabled relative.

She was offered home help, but decided to opt for somone to come in for 30 minutes in the morning to help the disabled person get dressed ...... because her son told her she just spent all her time (and ordering them around) getting the house tidy before the help arrived.
