Thank you Renes but 'this' tree is something of a miracle, I think !!!

Whilst it has been in bud it has had at least 15 to 20 'deep' frosts!!

Nothing seems to touch it !!

Aha, I'm not going back any farther than two pages, but I see the lotus eater has addressed me. ;)

Election cometh, indeed. This will give me a break from work so I can go visit my mum -- probably a longer wknd over the longer Easter wknd, which should be about 10 days before the election.

Let's have an election about ethics, and to heck with the economy! Our economy is just dandy, all things considered, and it will be at least as dandy once we rid ourselves of the "Harper Government".

Let's make it about the ethics of the ones who promised ethics and gave us fraud and corruption instead. ;)

disappear -------did we have UFO s then

had a nice reply from Maura

Hi Irene,

Birth registration didn't start until 1864 in Ireland, so you won't get a birth cert for him. The best you can do is find a baptism, but there's nothing coming up on any of the sites I have subs too, I used variant of the name and the most common spelling of his name is Jellett. If you believe he was born in Belfast, you could try narrowing you search by his religion.

Sorry I wasn't much help.
Maura

Strange thing is ----when looking at the Overseas Births ( Military ) on FMP -- saw entries for Dublin births 1825, 1833 etc ----think I might contact the Dragoons
