Morning/Evening All
Well it started foggy here too Liz but now the sun is so bright and blinding I have had to draw the curtains !!!I suppose it is the sun being so low in the sky now. I heard Hannah come in about 1.30.Then this morning when Chris had got up she came in with me and went back to sleep lol. Then we both sat with our tea and coffee having a look at her itinerary for the trip to India. It's nice to just sit in bed together and have a nice natter. She is back to London this afternoon. Her train is 3.30 from Northampton so Chris will run her in.I'm just going to do a nice mini roast for her now and then when James is home later the 3 of us will have ours.I better start peeling some potatoes and veg.

Hannah should love India Jane. My cousin (the one who died of cancer) lived there for six months of every year as he ran an Orphanage on the Island of Ramswarren (spelling?!) which is right on the southern tip of India. He first went to India for a year in 1971, to teach in a school when he was 18 before going up to Oxford, and fell in love with the country, going back and forth for years till he opened the Orphanage. He was planning to settle there for good, but unfortunately he was never able to do so Mark and his partner have been twice, last year for a month as they loved it so much - so I think it should bode well for your Hannah! . I shall be really interested to hear what she thinks of it all. Lovely sun here now, I've just finished tidying up those d***n beans, and am going to put the ham into roast, so like you Jane , I must tackle some veg!!!

Gill when I take a photo on my mobile I email it to myself so I can then send any on to people.I think I can plug the phone into the laptop somehow and do it that way.But I stick to the way I know (which annoys OH lol) but I know what I am doing which is the main thing :-D
My new Dyso* has just arrived by Royal Mail(I didn't know they delivered anything on Sundays!).So I will have a look and see if I can work out how to use it :-D :-D

Afternoon all evening Kim,
It is a beautiful morning here with plenty of the yellow stuff so I stripped the bed and it has just finished it's wash and as I type it is clouding over :-| :-| :-| It always seems to do this to me.
Oh still not back from ringing yet so I have got on well this morning apart from the blimmin pooter which would'nt work first thing. I was trying to see what was on the camera from last night and it threw a wobbly and turned itself off so I went and did other things.
Frank I have replied to your message.
Don't think I have anything on the camera from last night as it turned very misty and the first few pics were just the mist. The lens may have misted up but there may be something a bit later on if I can get time to look at all the stuff it took. Pv permitting.
Jane is the new Dy*on the one with the long pipe that has now lead and is rechargeable? Like they have been advertising on the tv?

Afternoon all,
I have been busy as usual for Sunday morning, preparing roast beef and the veg. making the pudding and CHEESE sauce. !!
My blood started to BOIL when I read that that person only got SEVEN YEARS. As Ros said it should have been SENENTY. What would the JUDGE ?? given him if it had been his DAUGHTER. The laws of this Country are a farce.
I had so much to say last night, but now can't remember what it was.
I'm glad you have your picture sorted Liz, our main bedroom wall is filled with Photo's of Lewis from birth to his last school photo. I have my grandchildren on it also, our wedding photo, Harvey's wedding, but waiting to add Conrad's (if it ever happens)
Gill I am pleased your daughter likes her "TREE" I bet it gives her a lot of pleasure. BLESS HER. <3 <3
Jane, Next Wednesday I should leave early. The road down from Weston Favell is under a lot of pressure from diverted traffic., so when you get into Town it will be HELL. You do seem to like E.F.s cinema, we must try it some time.
I know when we went round the world, we stopped in India for 3 days and enjoyed in a lot, the poverty was very bad, and begging was everywhere. Will send a couple of photo's when I find them.
Mandy I am surprised they are using blow torch near THATCH. :-| :-| :-|
Ros did a silly thing this morning. She opened a box of these little things you put in the washing machine, and one had leaked, so she put them all in a bowl of hot water to wash them. Of course they all started to melt, and had to be thrown away. The waste bin smells like "SPRING"
Off to see about a shower and shave. I'm still in my dressing gown. NO I AM NOT A LAZY SO AND SO :-D :-D :-D :-D

Jane, presumably you meant that you hoped Hannah and her friends don't, not do get Dehli Belly?!!!! Where they're going sounds great and should be just the job!! In 1945 Ian spent two years in what is now Parkistan.(Karachi) His father was posted there at the end of the war, so they all went?!! not quite the place for a young family at the time of partition I'd of thought. He was 5 when they went and 7 when they came home, (in a flying boat!) and he says that they were the happiest years of his childhood! it was a bit emotionally downhill all the way after that. We had a parcel delivered on Sunday two weeks ago too, so I think Royal Mail are going to have to look to their laurels!! My Dyson is a roller ball and I love it, but it is now 5 years old (just out of guarantee!) and I think they are a lot lighter these days, at least that is what the lady at Dyson told us when mine went in for repair last year. Dyson is only 6 miles from us, so any problems they can be taken to the horses mouth so to speak!! Must get on with those veg!!!!

Oh Liz ,I definitely meant 'don't get ' LOL.Hannah and her pals have got their packs of stuff in case they do get the dreaded tummy. But she said they had to see a Nurse to get them as they have antibiotics in.
This Dyson has a long hose Mel but is not a rechargeable one.I have seen that one advertised though.I think this is a DC 54.Hannah has already asked what we are doing with our other one !!!! So I can see that heading to London next time we go in the car.
Frank I will make sure we leave in plenty of time on Wednesday.I think Chris and Hannah had better leave shortly too just in case the road works are being done today.Do they stop at the weekend?? Also we still have the A14 to contend with.
Oh those laundry pouch things make a right mess if they melt or break .I stopped using them and now have gone back to the liquid and ball.
Must go now but will BBL

That's a good idea to email the photo off the phone, unfortunately the photo came out fuzzy, I'll ask hubby to try again when he gets in from work later and see what's happens.
Loved the emails you sent me Frank, they were very funny :-D.
I've got some cleaning to do now so better get to it, it won't do itself, more's the pity :-)

Frank I just re read your post..I hadn't realised it was the whole box of little pouches that Ros tried to clean off lol.I can just imagine now what it must have been like !!!!!! Very gloopy and very scented :-S.I bet they were all stuck together too.
Chris just back from Northampton.Said it was a nightmare :-S.He couldn't even get off the A14 at the Broughton slip rd. At least they got there in time for Hannah's train. James is back from Jess s .I have a feeling he might be asleep !!He did look cream crackered . I still haven't heard from my Sister. But her daughter is opening her new shop tomorrow in Tewkesbury so they may all be just mucking in to get last minute things finished. It is a children's clothes shop.Second hand designer things.I do hope it works out but these kind of shops often fold,so it is all fingers crossed for success.

Evening All,
Well a much better day here with lots of sunshine. We called at MIL's after lunch and FIL still hasn't seen the doc as MIL said they were too busy to see him after she'd been sorted! So he has another fortnight to wait and was poorly again and feeling awful the other day. She said he was sweating in the night and actually lay in bed an extra hour in the morning. She's bought MORE new saucepans!! We've already got 2 sets of her old saucepans in the garage waiting to go to a car boot sale or charity shop!! lol. The last ones she had should have lasted as they weren't cheap......I think the milk pan was about £40!! I know I don't use my saucepans so much these days and did change to stainless steel ones, but I still have those now!
The first dyson I had was a small rollerball one that wasn't an upright. I was a bit disappointed with the power and the fact the pipe was too thick for me to get under my sideboards with it. It's easier to attach tools to than wrestle with the pipe on the dyson animal I got last year though so is still good for doing the edges of the room where the animal doesn't reach properly and for down the sides of the settee. I just use the micrifibre wide mop on the hard floors under the cupboards now. I had a go with the cordless one at Curr*s when I bought the animal and made a good job of their carpets with it. It was fantastic and I would really like one of those. So quick to whip out for a quick clean up without wire and plug faff....great. :-)
My deep fat fryer had a thermostat as well Liz, but I still worried it might go wrong or fail! I'm the same with most things. I rarely set the heating to come on before we come home as once at another house, the casing bolts sheared and we saw flames coming out of the cover each side of the wall boiler!! Then the man that did our fitted kitchen a few years back told me that dishwashers caused a lot of fires because the plug and socket to most are behind them where you can't see and they can overheat. He said he'd seen a lot where the wall was black around the plug when you pulled the dishwasher out. He moved our plug for us then.
I ended up chucking a box of those plastic sachets for the washing machine away. I'm not sure why, but the plastic sachet melted and welded itself onto one of my tops in the wash and I had to throw it away!! :-0
Work colleagues were always off to India as many were asian and would try to persuade me to go with them!!! No thankyou, far too hot for me......one brought TB back once and was off work for ages!! It is a vast and fascinating country though and will be an unforgettable experience. :-)
I'm beginning to wonder if it's a good idea for us to go to Northampton tomorrow? Maybe it will be better from the M1 direction? :-S

Just a QUICKIE !!!
Jane I don't think they work at weekends, like most of these projects. They just leave everything coned off and you have to get on with it.
Ann, while you are on the M 1 it's only the next junction to Milton Keynes. It's far better parking and shopping, unless there is a particular reason to go to Northampton.
My Yorkshire was so big today, I had to take the top shelf out with the pudding as it had gone through the wires of the shelf !!! The beef was melt in your mouth quality. But it might have been me expertise that had something to do with it. NO I AM NOT A BIG 'EAD. lol I know we are well pleased with our little Dyso# It plugs into the wall charger, and gives you 20/25 minutes hovering time. As you say NO WIRES to trip me up. ;-) ;-)
I think ITV 3 has a programme on for me to watch while madam watches XXXX Factor. I might catch a bit of the Jungle, but that American girl gets right up my nose. So I can take it or leave it.

Ok ,show off with your big pudding and melt in the mouth beef :-D :-D.I have never had a Yorkshire pudd big enough to have to take the shelf above out !!!!!
Ann I despair with your MIL :-S What is she like!!!! it is such a shame that your FIL can't stand up for himself and is so brow beaten. :-(
Well I am full to bursting after our dinner....then Chris came in with some chocolate from Hotel Chocola*..It is so rich ...I feel sick now :-S....It will be my heart racing tonight Ann .I know I shouldn't eat chocolate so near to bedtime :-S
I am going to get myself ready for bed now so that I am all sorted for Remember Me at 9pm Frank I just see a couple of emails come through so will have a quick look now.

Hi all Just noticed on another thread, for all of you who buy real Christmas trees, IKEA are selling them for a fiver and you get a £20 voucher to spend in January. The offer on the tree is on from 28th November to 21st December and according to the thread they are big and bushy, the one mentioned was 8ft tall. The thread is called Great Bargain on General Chat. At that price they won't last long, good luck to anyone who wants one. ;-) There's a picture as well.

We have a potted tree that we have used now for about three years. We repotted it last year but I hope oh can lift it in this year.
Oh never lets me put the decs up till later in December.
Our builder rang early evening and asked if it was ok for them to come tomorrow at 8am to 8.30am. I shall have to take my clothes in the bedroom tonight so I can dress in there or in the bathroom with the new blinds down as their scaffolding is just outside there but their trailer is outside one of our bedroom windows. Thats the trouble with living in a bungalow!!
May have to go to Holsworthy tomorrow for some chicken food and cider for oh. There was something else I wanted and I hav'nt writen it down...... I may remember when I talk to oh in the morning or he may want something.

Dull here today and the builders turned up at 8.20am. They are just having a coffee and then the porch roof comes off, yes all of it.
I hope they can get it done quite quickly as there is rain in the air.

Dull old morning here too. We were offered a Christmas Tree over the weekend by the chap who uses part of our barn for a workshop; trouble is that the house is just too small to put one up, but we may put it outside, ferret around for the outside lights (not sure where they are!!!!) and have it there. Have to see!!! We were discussing it in bed this morning and whether we should have a kissing bunch(!!) this year. Years ago we always put one over the bed, but I'm not sure about now!!! As much as possible we do try and decide things together or compromise as neither of us will put up with being told what we can or can't do by the other and in the past it has led to ' issues', and still would!!! We shall decorate in about 2 weeks as we always do so should have sorted out the kissing bunch and the lights by then! Hope all went well with 'the move' Jane, also the new shop, fingers crossed as these venture's can be tricky. Making soup; today with stock from the chicken carcass, changing the bed and sorting out washing so best get on!
