These are the shoes Jane. They are really a work boot and his last pair lasted for years. He has walking boots, but these are more shoelike and are really comfortable with deep treads for good grip on slippy wet grass.

I think you would be disappointed with the decorations Jane! I was wrong in my post as they did also have a tree in the great hall where you go in, but all that had on it was paper chains that children could make while they waited for a tour. The antlers on the deer heads on the walls had some greenery on them and there was a 3 foot little tree with baubles on and that was IT.
I hope your niece's shop does well. I would think there would always be a demand for good quality children's clothes. Will she sell online as well? It must take an awful lot of work to get a place set up and decorated. It sounds like your bedroom is coming together nicely now. I hope you can fit all your clothes back in the new wardrobes and drawers. Hopefully there will be plenty of room after your clearout. :-)

<3 <3 <3 Congratulations Kim on your first grandchild <3 <3 <3
<3 <3 <3 Even more congratulations to Miranda on the birth of Sophie <3 <3 <3
You won't know where you are when you move into that new bedroom Jane. It sounds like it is all coming together now. Then all the work of filling all the wardrobes and drawers.
Ann it was a shame your visit was disappointing.
Been busy today as I did loads of dusting and cleaned all the hog bowls and tidied the plants I have put in the shed. Mainly the begonias as now they have just about dropped all their branches. Then I helped oh with the new des res for the hogs. I had to strip up a load of newspaper for the nest boxes and then we sighted it and got the lid on. I put the camea down there and gave it a go to see if I had it in the right place but when I downloaded it it had only taken pics and no videos again. I have put it down there though just to see if anyone goes in it.
Builders are back again tomorrow and I have the dentist in the afternoon. Hoping this is the last appointment getting my new gnashers.

Hope it stays fine for your builders tomorrow Mel. It will be good to have your porch roof properly watertight again. Our roofer is coming on the 15th now, so that will be good to get rid of the leak onto the ceiling. I should have the decs up by then and boxes cleared out of his way too. It's great your OH making new little Hotels for the hogs. A shame your camera isn't working properly though. What do you do with your begonias over winter, do you treat them like Dahlias? I have never tried to save them before, but I have a few in the pots that need fetching out. Good luck with the dentist....you are on the last lap so to speak.;-)
Off to bed now to see Michael Portillo's train journeys.
Where is William these days? I hope he and Carmel are ok.

Morning all and evening Kim Nanna,
Dull old day today but it is dry at present. Builders are here and up on the roof.
The dreaded dentist this afternoon and I think today I will have the bill and a tooth out. Thanks to Ann for for the good luck wishes.
Camera only took pics last night and nobody went in the new house but there was plenty of pics of mice out and about the front of the box.
Forgot to post this again and went and did the chickens, bantams and wild birds.
We have a breeze today shich is very very cold. The builder boys have hats on today and it must be freezing up on the roof.

Frank is your screen still very wide? Have you typed a lot of something like !!!!!!!!!!!! or have you touched on the bottom of the box where there are six dots in the bottom right hand corner of this box to reply in? If you left click your mouse and hold it on the dots you can make the box bigger or smaller.

Morning/Evening All
Wide here too Mel the pics on the side are all stretched.Looks like the hall of mirrors :-S
Chris snored so badly last night I had to get up.So I came downstairs at 2.30 !.Got the Duvet that was still in its bag from the dry cleaners (that was lucky it was still down here) then made a cup of tea and watched a bit of Philip Schoffield doing his 24hr tv marathon.Had a bit of a read and tried to go back to sleep .No chance.I think I probably just dozed for about 45 mins until Chris came down about.6.45.So I feel like a wet weekend .I won't be going out anywhere today ,but will be helping Chris put together this first wardrobe.I think I might be having lots of sit downs today lol
It is chilly and quite breezy here this morning,

Yes I've got a wide screen too on my lap top but ok on Kindle! I keep having to move the bar at the bottom of the page to read it properly!! Like you Jane I didn't have a very good night! awake at 12,oclock, 3.30 and again at 5? then Ian woke me at 7.30 with E.M.T. He makes it every morning for us to have in bed which is usually lovely, but I could have done without it today!! Good luck from me too Mel if you haven't already gone! It's been a right old performance for you, so let's hope that today will be the end of it and you can settle down with your new 'smiley' teeth!!! I've got the Hygienist on Friday, hope she doesn't find any more wobbles!!! Getting colder here so have just filled the log basket and done all the outside jobs. It's only Merlin now as the garden has been finally put to bed, but he does need more attention now it's winter. Hope all goes well with your furniture Jane!!!!

Morning all, evening Kim,
My screen is still very wide, I don't know where to look for these 6 dots Mel. Jane is yours still the same ???
I had a night without cramp. I found my tablets !!
Home alone again (SHOPPING)
It's Carolyn's 70th tomorrow so 11 of us are off to the nice Chinese Restaurant.
It's very cold here today, I have a fleece coat on, and the heating is on very low.
I wrapped a present for Ros this morning, what a mess. I hadn't cut the paper big enough and had to tape in an extra piece, then the Sellotape end kept getting stuck to the roll, I did manage not to throw it across the room :-D :-D
No sleep and wardrobe building doesn't sound a good match Jane, don't over do it will you ???
Hope everything goes well at the dentist Mel. My neighbour HAS to go to hospital to have a tooth out. Last time she had to have a blood transfusion. So I suppose we are LUCKY <3 <3 <3
Coffee time for me. See you later.

On the home run at the dentist then Mel , is it today you have the tooth out ? hope all goes well <3
Oh goodness Jane you won't last the day out being awake that early ,is it all the excitement of the new bed ;-) ;-) I tend to keep out of the way when things need putting together ,that way i don't get the blame when it doesn't go right !!
Frank i told you, buy the Christmas gift bags ,a little Christmas tissue paper wrapped round the gift and no sellotape needed , job done :-D :-D

Yes Mandy I know all that, but as I don't go out and the present wouldn't fit in a carrier bag What else can I do ??? :-D :-D :-D
This screen business won't go away still have to use the arrow to read across the page. and the picture is very small on the left. Are Genes trying to confuse us old 'uns ;-) ;-) ;-)
Just been out to bring the bins in. That North Easterly wing is enough to cut you in half. The sky is so dark, that if I didn't know better, would say we are in for SNOW :-( :-( :-(
I'm sitting here watching NAT GEO WILD. all about animals fighting to keep their females. Good job we humans don't have to do it <3 <3 <3
I've decided on a quick tea/dinner tonight SCAMPI and CHIPS. Can't remember the last time we had those. I hope it will be O.K. for madam, as she's not a keen fishy person. I could eat it THREE TIMES a week with no trouble.
Hope everything went alright at the dentists Mel Can we see the new smile ??
I saw on FB that Kim was a grandmother. Very nice picture of her with the baby, and another of just the baby. She looked good enough to eat <3 <3 <3 <3
I hope all your cloths are sorted now JANE, and back in your new wardrobes. Have you left enough Room for CHRIS's bits ??? :-D :-D :-D :-D
Still no William !!!

Hope everyone is well and Frank is behaving himself. Congratulations to Kim, a beautiful baby granddaughter.
Have a wonderful Christmas everyone and I will try and get back on thread in the new year. xxxx

Houston we have a problem !!!!!!!!!.........Someone measured up for the wardrobes and got it wrong :-S :-S....NOT ME. So we have been up there trying all which ways to fit everything in...WE CAN'T :-S :-S James needs to get rid of a big desk in his room and has one of those rail hanging things instead of a wardrobe(which is on its last legs)so he will be having one of our big set of drawers and then we will order him a double wardrobe .I know it won't be his choice but that's life :-D So I haven't had quite the restful day I was hoping for.But I have had my purse out again :-D..Booked 2 nights away in Suffolk at the end of January for Chris's Birthday. The same nice Coaching in we went to at the beginning of this year. Then a waterproof jacket for means some Chinos for James and a throw for Hannah. So in one way I have had a productive day :-D :-D. I am not going to lump anything else up the blooming stairs today !!!!!! Oh, and also my lamp shades are totally the wrong colour so I will be changing them.
I am fading a bit thats for sure so I'm going to park my btm and enjoy a cuppa.
Mel I hope it all went smoothly at the Dentist.

Nice to see you again Maureen!! I shall be off the thread again after Thursday as my month will be up then and I won't be renewing, least not for a while. It's getting really cold now, so we are just about to have a COT and then stoke up the woodburner! Those National Geographic programmes are brilliant Frank. We watch them quite a lot in the evening as the progs on the major channels are mostly such rubbish!! I've watched D. Attenborough this afternoon on my Kindle (catchup) it was brilliant and the scenery fantastic Oh dear Jane! These things can be very stressful. Deep breaths all round!! Hard to believe that Mark will be 50 in just under three weeks!! (22nd) I think even he will have to admit to being a 'grown up'!! I'm really looking forward to the lunch party his other half is putting on for him. First time we ALL been together for ages, so should be good.

Oh there's Maureen :-D.You just nipped in before my post.We have been wondering where you have been. I hope you do join us again next year as you have been missed.Hope all is well with you and all the family.Have a great Christmas xxx
And now Liz is going again :-(.Liz that month has gone very quickly). At least we can all keep in touch by emails ,and then hopefully you too will come back again :-D
I am surprised that Chris and I haven't fallen out today. In fact there hasn't been one bad word.He is still wandering around upstairs with that tape measure lol So Frank no ,no clothes back in the new wardrobes and drawers just yet.Until everything is in place and we are happy we can't put things back . Just remembered the mattress will be here first thing in the morning. We will sleep in the bed come hell or high water even if it looks like a bomb has gone off around us :-D We could really do without going to Northampton tomorrow, but it will probably do us good to have a change of scenery.A nice lunch with Fitz and then the film.I hope I don't drop off !!!!.I think I have the end seat in the row so I will only have Chris or Fitz on one side.I won't be able to droop my head on anyone else lol
It is The Missing again tonight.I doubt I will manage to get through the whole of it again. So it will be catch up :-D Gill did you manage to see the other ones?,have you caught up now? I must crack on with dinner now :-S
