Just looked and they have. It is now on there so I can watch it tonight. Yipee :-D :-D

Frank Report 13 Mar 2015 17:03

Well done Mel !!!

Have been to get my hair cut, my little Asian girl was pleased to see me. She didn't say anything but I think she thought I might have passed away :-( :-( :-( We had our joking and the other girls in the saloon were in stitches, when I told them that we were an item and getting married as soon as my divorce came through :-D :-D :-D

All nice bright and shiny teeth now then Liz. I trust nothing needed to be done ??

Tesc# was heaving with School Kids, I wonder they let so many in there at one time. There must have been over FIFY of them by the sweet isle.

Ros is doing one of her famous BOILED ONION ROLLS tonight. It's a suet pudding filled with meat, onion, potato sprinkled with Bist# powder, Rolled up and boiled for 2/3 hours in greaseproof paper and a tea towel. Oh what a delight with a plateful of Brussels.

Plenty to keep you happy on T.V. tonight. what with Red Nose and Bear Grille . I might pop out for a pint.

Yes all cleaned and polished. The hygienist was very pleased with them, and the interdental brushes seem to be doing the trick, at least for the time being!! Only thing is she discovered that I need a filling!! which is a good thing as my next dentist appointment isn't till July! I now have an appointment for April to have it fixed! More cleaning tips and a toothpaste sample, then a trip to the horse food store to buy Merlin his favourite treats, now home and wondering what to have for supper!! I think it'll be porridge and boiled eggs- keeping it simple!!
We're seeing 'L' on Monday as the garage the Waggon goes to is only three miles from where she lives, so it's a good opportunity to see her. It's a place that specializes in landrovers, (freelander) so any odd noises can be run to earth quickly and correctly(!!) and dealt with without too much hassle.

afternoon all
Finally I have decided on the paints.Almost the same as it is now .I counted up all the tester pots we have and there are 15 :-0 :-0..How ridiculous is that :-S

I had such a bad night last night. One of those where the minds just doesn't stop .So I feel like a wreck now :-S.Mrs Grump too lol
Chris has taken down the blinds on the stair windows. He was balanced on the ladder and having to stretch across to gets screws out.I was on guard just in case he fell. Not that I could have saved him but at least I was on hand in case a 999 call was needed :-D.James will help him get the Huge mirror down tomorrow. It weighs a ton. Then we are ready for the decorator.
It has been a nice day but with quite a chilly wind. The weekend isn't looking so nice.It is Sunday we go to Hannah (not Saturday )and it looks like rain that day.Not that it will matter as I don't think we will be out walking anywhere.

Good luck tomorrow with the car Gill.I do hope it passes. That was nice though of your Mum to offer you her car if you need to..And now your fire has packed up !!.Hopefully you have radiators to keep you warm now the boiler seems fine again. Why do so many things all go wrong at the same time??? It's just not fair is it.
Before you joined the thread we had dreadful problems with leak after leak after leak here.It just seemed never ending .

Frank I assume we have the cable for the box.We must have one for this one that isn't working.I will get James to check it out.Thankyou again for your generosity <3

You would have laughed earlier.I took a Birthday card down to Fitz for his Sons birthday at the weekend. As I drove in through the gate there was a big black rabbit sitting under a little fir tree.It belongs to their neighbour and has been out loose for a couple of years as it is quite fierce and no-one has been able to catch it .Well it never moved a muscle as I drove past it.I went into Fitz for about 30 minutes and when I left it was still there. So I called Fitz and we slowly walked right up to it.We thought it might have actually died but then it's nose twitched and an eye opened but it just stayed there. We walked back to my car down the drive and looked back at it and it was having a wash lol..Now it is either a very brazen rabbit ,or it is not well..I have no idea.
But it was quite funny with the 2 of us just standing inches away staring at it :-D :-D

I have just chased the Squirrel off the window feeder 3 times in as many minutes :-S
Rosie is getting cheeky isn't she Gill :-D :-D She is so tame.
The Male Pheasant came very close to me this morning as I was throwing out the bird seed :-D.I thought he would have run off.I wonder if it is used to being given food?

I better get the shirts in of the line.Forgot they were still out.

Good job the Hygienist spotted the hole in the tooth Liz.I have those interdental brushes (yellow).Chris has (red).I hate poking them between my teeth ,but they certainly clean out the gubbins :-D

Onions and Sprouts Frank !!!!!! Sheesh I think it might get a bit windy in your house :-S.....James is home and says we have the cable :-D

Frank t hey might have been doing something for Red Nose day in Tes** hence all the school children.

I will watch Google box at 9 if I am still up..I am looking forward to tomorrows new prog with Philip Schoffield ..Back in the Room (hypnotised people ) it looks so funny.

Afternoon all

Just had a five hour chat with Michelle making arrangements for her visit next month for Sandra's 30th. She wants to see so many people when she comes down I'm not sure how she's going to fit it all in. She's spending the day with us on Sandra's birthday and said she'd like to go shopping with me, she needs some curtains for her flat but she's only here for a couple of days and with wanting to see four other people from here to Ellesmere Port it's not going to be easy for her taking all those buses. Let's hope our car passes the MOT or we can borrow my mum's car then we can help her get from place to place. With everything she has planned she's going to be worn out. She'll be glad to go back to work for a rest :-D :-D.

The weather here has been raining all day what a horrible day and I noticed online that there is a "Beast from the East" cold weather snap suppose to be hitting this country next week. So there you go folks something to look forward to ;-) ;-). That'll put paid to my gardening plans for next week.

Glad to hear you can finally watch your program Mel.
Did you say you liked the F1. It's starting again this weekend in Australia. I'm really looking forward to it and it'll make my Mother's Day. OH has booked the weekend off work so we can watch it together.

Hope you manage to get to Spain Frank to see Conrad, sorry can't help with the donations I could do with a few myself to get everything fixed here ;-) ;-) <3.

I'm sure Ros will get used to her new doctor, it does take time. I missed my old doctor when she retired, but the one I've got now is lovey, he's the one who drained my hand, I was very nervous.....I don't like needles and he was really good and explained everything that was going to happen before he did it and now my hand is back to normal. He even rang me the following day to see how I was. So I'm sure everything will be ok for Ros too.

I forgot about comic relief tonight Mel you've just reminded me to watch it.

Good luck with your filling Liz, good job you had your appointment today otherwise you might of been in pain by July. Now it'll be sorted sooner.

Glad to hear you have chosen your paint now Jane. So fun with the tester pots is over now :-D :-D. The time has passed by quickly, it only seems like yesterday you were finishing off your bedroom and saying the decorator would be back in March for your hall. Where has the time gone :-S :-S :-S.

Rosie is starting to get a bit to tame....I'll have to keep a closer eye on her so she doesn't come into the house. As cute as she is, the flees she has aren't and the last thing I want is flees in the house. Best to try and keep her outside.

Yes we're hoping the car will pass it's MOT but it won't be tomorrow, that's just to see if the long journey made a difference to the emissions which will tell us if it's just the exhaust that needs replacing or if there is anything else wrong. If the emissions have come down enough it's just the exhaust which will be done on Tuesday and that's also the day the MOT will be done, so another few days to go before we know if we'll have an MOT or not.

It was nice of mum to let us use her car if we need to. At least OH will be able to visit his mum now as she isn't local to us and lives about 5 miles away.

The only time we could book our car in before Tuesday was the same time as the viewing tomorrow, so I'll be doing the viewing on my own while OH is at the garage with the car.
Sorry can't remember if I mentioned we had a viewing on this place tomorrow.

Well, I'd better go and check the meat in the oven, I've made a beef casserole so need to give it a stir.

Goodness Gill, that was a long chat!! I usually have 'L' on the phone for an hour or so, but never that long! You must have had a lot of catching up to do.
Nothing on T.V tonight, so it's a recording or a geographic channel for us tonight!

Jane

Jane Report 13 Mar 2015 18:54

Gill .I too don't know where the time has gone since our bedroom was done.Gone in a flash :-S.Those tester pots will be in the bin tomorrow. They have been cluttering up my kitchen worktop, and I have little enough space without them.

5 hour chat with your daughter !!!!...I'm lucky if I get 5 minutes lol...But Hannah is the same when she comes home. She is out catching up with all her friends. She basically just sleeps here.Usually when she is here things are arranged between all the girls so they can all get together at the same time.Is Michelle wanting to go shopping with you hoping you will buy the new curtains??? :-D :-D.They are crafty lol Is she happy in her flat now with the water and heating sorted?
No you don't want fleas in the house from the lovely Rosie.Plus if she got in she might chew through wires etc :-S :-S

Mel I might have missed it but did you get your new teeth when the other 2 came out?
I may well have missed a post or two.

MillymollyAmanda Report 13 Mar 2015 18:55

Evening all,

It's been really chilly here even with the nice sun shine we've had today.

Hubby had today off work so we went to town ,to the bank, to Bo*ts , the bakery and to get hubby some new work boots .......well if i had been on my own i would have got it all done in an hour .....over two hours we we're out !! i had to smile as hubby said i can see now why it takes some time to do shopping :-0 :-D i thought not on my own it doesn't !! :-D

We also had a look at a new oak table and four chairs in a shop ,hubby took quite a liking to it so i think we might order them next week, the table we have now does extend for when the family come but it is an oval shape and this new table will seat the family better as it's longer .
We have been looking for a while now but some of the oak tables are such a price ,also they are very heavy ,this one is heavy so when it needs moving i told hubby he will have to move it .

Teeth always feel nice when you've had a good clean and polish ,we use those Tepe brushes ,hubby got one stuck between his teeth once ,he then went down a size !! got him a bit worried i think :-D
It was good that they found out you needed a filling before you had toothache Liz.

Jane !! all those tester pots :-D that's the trouble too much choice !! :-D

Might be getting a bit windy your way then Frank :-D :-D
When our doctor retired the surgery never told us he was retiring , when we went to make an appointment he had gone ,we then had a lady doctor ,she didn't stay long ,now we have another man ,he's so laid back ,he loungers in his chair with his feet sticking out at an angle it looks so funny .

Well your certainly not having much luck lately Gill and now your fire has gone wrong :-( at least you have the boiler working ok ,you might need the heating with the weather turning colder again.
Hubby's an F1 fan too .
Hope you can get your car sorted out with the emissions and get an MOT,sounds as if you will need it with all the running about Michelle has planned when she comes :-D

I liked Poldark ,looking forward to seeing the next one , Banished i have recorded but haven't watched that yet .

I was chatting online which takes longer with having to type it all out. We hadn't spoken for ages so had a lot of catching up to do. I don't think either of us realised how long it had been until Michelle noticed the time and mentioned it to me, We normally only chat for a couple of hours but with it being Sandra's birthday next month we got talking about that and the time just slipped away. It was nice though. She's working now every day for the next week and a half so don't know when we'll chat again. <3 It'll probably be back to 2 hours again next time.

magpie Report 13 Mar 2015 19:46

Sorry Gill, I thought you'd been on the phone for 5 hours! As you say, when it's on line it does take much longer, and time does slip by quickly! It'll be lovely to see your daughter for her sisters birthday celebrations. Yes I was lucky over the filling, July would have been a long time to wait, and for sure it would have played up before then!!
I've just been outside and it's turned quite cold!

I never shop with Chris !!!!!.Maybe just once a year just before Christmas..Even then we often go our separate ways and meet up later :-D

Just going to watch Gogglebox now.
See you all tomorrow xx

Gill yes I like to watch the grnd prix. Lewis Hamilton has had a fever and had to stop in practise. Someone else had a neck injury.

Good luck for the viewing tomorrow and with the car Gill.

Did you tell me Sandra's birthday was 28th April?

Have been watching Comic Reliief. They are raising a smashing amount of money this year.

Signing out now so see you in the morning.

Gillx

Gillx Report 13 Mar 2015 23:41

Yes Mel Sandra's birthday is the 28th April. The big 30 although she only looks about 16 and hates it. I said she'd be grateful of looking much younger than she is when she's in her 40's or 50's but she still doesn't like people asking her how school is and never believing her when she tells them her real age. She can't even get served in a pub.

The viewing is midday tomorrow the same time the car goes to the garage so a busy day for us. Luckily OH has the weekend off and not having the car on the drive will look better for the viewing so it's not all bad.

I forgot about the practice. Hope Lewis is ok for the race on Sunday. I follow him and OH follows Jenson Button. I'm glad OH is here for the F1 it's not the same watching it on your own. Sandra doesn't like it so watches her programs in the other room.

She laughs at me though because I get really excited when something good happens and shout Horay or No, depending on what's happened, a bit like my OH, and probably Frank at the football lol.

I'm having to record the qualifying as I don't think the viewing will be finished and OH won't be back from the garage. So we will be watching it when we're both ready.

I've recorded Comic Relief and will be watching it with Sandra after the F1. Looks like an afternoon of TV for me tomorrow.

Off to bed now
Night Night <3

Morning all and evening Kim,

We have sunshine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! blue sky with big white clouds, something I hav'nt seen for a few days now but it is very cold out with in the wind sop it gives a false immpression till you open the door.

Hope the viewing goes ok Gill, fingers crossed...........

If I'd had known it was going to b e like this today I would have put the washing machine on last night and could have pegged it out first thing. Instead I slept late so it is in the machine now and buy the time it is ready it will probably be raining.

Afternoon All
Gill I hope the viewing went well just now and also that the car has passed :-D

Mandy we had sun earlier ,but it is now really grey and looks like it could rain. The wind is really chilly so the fire is lit now :-D.It's taking a while to get going so I have my beady eye on it.

OMG I went to Tes** and it was absolutely heaving.Everyone buying flowers and plants for Mothers Day.It was bedlam .Lots of fed up children having paddys :-S
I bought Hannah a little cake like Ann did for her OH,and a bottle of Prosecco also a very pretty linen summer dress in Orange. It looks ideal for her trip to Italy and hopefully USA later this year.
I have had a mad moment and have decided to make some Almond and Orange Florentines this afternoon. I just need the enthusiasm now to do them lol
James and Hannah have sent me a beautiful bouquet of Spring Flowers. They look smashing :-D :-D
There was a lady in Tesc* in front of me at the till and she had some flowers to take to her parents grave at the Crem. She told me that she had spent £48 on artificial flowers just a week ago but some sick person had stolen them from the grave :-(.You often hear of this kind of thing..I just don't understand some people :-S It makes my blood boil.
I think I better chuck a load of washing in as i see the wash basket is full AGAIN !!!!!!

magpie

magpie Report 14 Mar 2015 13:40

Nasty cold day here!! Have done a load of washing this morning which hopefully will dry in this brisk wind!! Did some gardening this morning, the weeds are growing like mad, so we both try and do a bucket of weeds most days, to try and break the back of them!!
I had a parcel his morning!! Well, a box really, and in it was a balloon with Happy Mothers Day on it, a little teddy, three Ferrero Richer, and a card all from Son and his Partner!! I was really chuffed. We don't particularly bother with Mother Day anymore as for us it's more of a children's thing, usually just a phone call or maybe a card, so a box of goodies, was a surprise. I was very touched! Mind you, not sure son had too much to do with it, as remembering birthdays and even Xmas isn't one of his strong points!!!! A bit like his dad!! :-S
'Dad' has taken himself off this afternoon to look at some timber! All to do with renovating our barn, which is next on the list of summer do's!

Jane

Jane Report 14 Mar 2015 13:51

Liz I see we posted at exactly the same time there LOL
Aren't we lucky Mums :-D
After I got home from Tes** I had to take a Zirtec as all the flowers (the strong scented ones) had made my throat and ears itch :-S :-S.I drove home with a finger in one ear waggling it to try and get rid of the itch !
That sounds like a big job renovating the barn Liz.Will Ian do it himself or just choose the timber and have someone else do the renovating?

Afternoon all,

Lovely sun shine ,but the wind is a bit on the nippy side ,i should think my washing is dry it was out nice and early.

Hope the viewing went well today Gill, and the car has passed on the emissions test.

Indian for us tonight so nice and easy,i have just made a Victoria Sponge cake just got to spread the jam on it now.

The dress sounds nice Jane, i like those bright colours ,i hope you have a nice day tomorrow with Hannah, are you going on the train ?

Time for a cuppa i think and i'd better get the jam in the sponge, might even have a slice with my cuppa :-D
