Good afternoon all

Jane so sorry to hear you have been in such pain with your Achilles heal, sometimes having a good cry can release the tension, I hope you are soon your usual cheery self.

Frank hope your shoulder eases up and you get to see the Dr. tomorrow for the Cortisone injection pleased to hear you had a good night's sleep again.

I also did the Ancestry DNA test but no big surprises I am 75% western European with the rest spread over just about anything else.

Hope your electricity is now back on and you enjoyed your Pub lunch Liz.

Oh dear Jane, I am sorry to hear that you've been so poorly. That's really awful to feel so wretched. I do hope you're feeling a bit better now. That horrible Psoriasis is as we've said, down to nerves (?!), but to have a repeat performance, along with everything else is enough to make anyone cry. Maybe it's some sort of mystery virus you've picked up? Whatever it is, it sounds extremely unpleasant and hopefully it'll clear up asap. I'm still on the Physio path!! I can't go again till we've finished the daily trek!! The exercises are (I think!) doing some good! At least that hateful sciatica has cleared up but my back is very stiff!!!
Our leccy came back at 3.30, and the back is looking really good. It's let in so much more light and you can now see across the fields , so worth the slight inconvenience!
We had a lovely lunch on our way home at a pub about a mile away , and now don't want too much supper, so win with all round!!

Evening all,

Oh Jane i'm sorry your feeling so poorly ,when you have pain that drags on it can really get you down and make you feel low and teary ,you've probably been on your feet a lot too over the week end with all your company there , i hope you can soon get some relief from the pain and that you feel better soon <3

It's not a bad evening here now and i have just hung some washing out ,we had rain this morning so no watering needed tonight ,well only the green house ,

We bought some new garden furniture today ,there are 6 metal chairs with comfy cushions and you can recline them ,two foot stools , a little side table ,a big table and a new brolly , the old wooden table and chairs have done well Colin has painted them up a few times but the had got a bit rickety so we decided to buy some new as they were on sale and had £100 off .

Im fine really I just had a moment or too of feeling sorry for myself and just bloody frustrated .It was trying to get down the stairs this morning with a stick in one hand and empty cup of tea in the other and hanging onto the rail LOL . Then I think what did it was Chris without realising I was struggling but could hear me groaning shouted up " Come on Granny". I think he felt a bit bad when he saw me LOL
Liz I am pretty sure my stupid immune system has just had a horrible hiccup hence the flair up . There is never a reason why it happens .I am not at all stressed and we have had a lovely weekend so it isn't that. I know it it will all settle down again soon.I know when something is going on because some of my fingernails and the skin near the nails begin to hurt, then I will get the patches on my scalp .I get a couple of days of not feeling 'right' too. It has just been my hip now that has really caused me the most trouble.
Keep doing those exercises Liz. I know you will :-) Good luck if you have your injection tomorrow Frank. It is worth giving it a go.

Anne I am back to cheery now :-D. I am not normally a down in the mouth person and I hate being like it. Lots far worse off than me . I would go and have a skip around the garden If only :-D :-D :-D. See I can still smile :-D ;-)

Morning all

Bright and sunny here today so OH is going to make a start on the paving in the front, then we are going to make some planters on wheels I have some climbing Ivy I thought I'd put in them to make a screen between us and Mr Grumpy next door.

How are you feeling today Jane? So sorry to hear you were in so much pain yesterday. Hope you feel better today, glad to see you can still smile :-D :-D

Your garden furniture sounds lovely Mandy. I could do with something comfy to sit on myself. We have a bench but you can't really relax on one of those can you? I painted it the other day and it looks much better now, talk about timing it right, it was dry enough to sit on before all the rain arrived.

It sounds like you had a nice lunch yesterday Liz and your electric was back on sooner than you thought too, so that's good. How is your hubby, I hope the treatment is going okay for him? It must be lovely to see across fields, all we can see is houses........I do envy you.

How is your shoulder today Frank, hope the doctor can help this time. I've heard of those DNA packs, I bet you can't wait to see what comes up with it. You never know you might find more relatives through it.

I think I have enough of my own weeds Mel, I've been doing a bit more weeding this morning. I thought I'd got them all the other day, but no, there they were popping out of some of my pots. They were quite tall so I don't know how I missed them.

I think I might finish off the seedlings that are growing round and about in the back, like I said they come in handy to hide some of the pots in the winter months. I can't believe it's August tomorrow, where has the year gone? It'll be winter again before we know it, then we'll all be complaining about the cold weather. Us Brits what are we like, we complain if it's to hot and then when it's to cold. I wonder if we'll have SNOW again this year :-S ;-) Sandra would love that.

I finally got through all the Poldark programmes, there was a lot of kissing in this series wasn't there? I'm not sure if I'll leave them again though, it took ages to get through them all. Better idea to watch them week by week next time.

Going to get a cuppa then it's back in the garden for me and OH. Sandra is still asleep, she's not an early bird like us.

Good morning from A "ZOMBIE" Hope you are all well,

I was in bed by 10.15 and went off very quickly, I didn't get out until 6.00 am and went back to bed. I woke at 8.45. Roa had made my Dr. appointment for 4.40 pm today. I will ask for the injection, as my neck and shoulder are very sore. I will also enquire about having an X ray on my right knee, as his is giving out on me lately. Looks like I am falling apart at the seams. lol lol.

Poor old you Jane, You must be in so much discomfort, and with not being as mobile as usual is so unlike you. Thinking of you my love xxxx

More rain in the night, everywhere nice and cool this morning. Age sun is starting to break through, so looks like a resonable day is on the cards.

If I can find some mince beef in the freezer, I will make a Lasagne for tea tonight. Roa can make a nice salad to go with it.

Glad your view has been improved Liz, it must really open up the area. I hope the treatment is going well for Ian. It must be a drag going there every day. Tell him to put the car on AUTO PILOT. It will find it's own way then. lol lol.

Poor old Ros has to get to the Dentists for 12.15 We are told the High street in Towcester is closed off for Gas Main replacement. So I don't know how she will get there. I will get her to ring the dentists for an update on the situation before she leaves.

I hope you all have an enjoyable day doing what needs doing. DON'T over do things, there another day tomorrow. !!!

Morning all,

A nice day here with sun and big white clouds so its not too hot at the moment.

Poor Jane so sorry to hear you had a really bad day. *I do hope you are feeling a lot better today and you can get something done about this dreadful hip. Sending love <3

Sounds like you are getting there with the garden Gill and these cooler days are giving you more time to work.

I really enjoyed Poldark but now we have to wait another long time till we get it back on again.

I did my hair this morning and only had on a sleeveless t shirt and my trousers and as I put my arm up to to put the clip in my hair I noticed I have a really dark red bruise on the back of my arm. Can't remember doing anything to get it there????

Got my chickens food yesterday afternoon and had a quick look around the shops in Holsworthy and took a top back I bought the other week. They gave me my money back on my card so I bought two more long sleeved cotton tops for the wintertime. I use them to sleep in or during the day when its colder so they had a pale blue and a navy which I thought were nice colours I had'nt got.

Must get on as its donkey day.

Frank Report 31 Jul 2018 14:25

Where has the SUN gone ?? We have plenty of dark clouds around at the moment, and it looks a bit like rain.

Roa went off in plenty of time for the Dentist. I know she was there as I have just had an Email confirming her next appointment for October. She was going into own to get Harvey's birthday present, and collect her Engagement ring, that she lost a stone in and damaged the claw setting. I expect that is going to cost a fair few QUID.

Lasagne all made and the white sauce, all I have to do now is layer it up. I had a little taste, and it's great. Not too strong for Ros.

Madam bought herself some new CROCKS. size 6 1/2. She thought they would be big enough. They are too SMALL and pinch her toes. She thought she would give hm to Tracy next door. I saw her this morning and asked what size she took. SIZE THREE. I said what about your mum. TH SAME SIZE. I know Julia only has size FOUR and I thought that was small !!! :-0 :-0 :-0

I am getting well into the latest "FROST" books. You can see David Jason in the reading of the book. All his expressions brings a smile to my face. I will go on Ebay and se if I can find any more of Lingfields books, he seems a very good writer.

Hows the paving going Gill?? You two never seem to stop working. Don' over do it and make yourselves to tired to enjoy doing it. It just bought back a memory. When we moved in this bungalow 20 years ago Harvey said he would take up the old Patio and lay a new one. WE ARE STILL WAITING ;-) ;-) ;-) I can't ever seeing it happening now. lol lol

How did your DONKEY day go Mel, I hope you didn't forget anything especialy the OHs CIDER. :-0 :-0 Heaven forbid.

Still a nothing sort of day here. Quite warm, but not for sitting out.

Afternoon All
Well the sun is put here now although plenty of clouds around. We had a fair bit of thunder and torrential rain first thing this morning. I feel much better today although still hobbling badly with this darned hip. I am having to use the walking stick :-S

Chris has a back tooth that is wobbling really badly. He keeps trying to get it out and is pushing it around with his tongue which gives me the willies. It is hurting him now .
I hope Ros got on ok at her appointment and didnt have too much trouble with all the road problems.
Good luck at the DRs Frank. I hope you get the injection.(you will be there now)

Gill that is a good idea to have climbing Ivy to make a screen between you and Victor Meldrew. . It seems good weather to start the paving slabs. Not too hot today but it is going to get to maybe 30 again later in the week!!!. As Chris says OH JOY :-S :-S

Mandy I think we will need new garden furniture next year. Chris I know will say what we have is fine . But the wooden chairs are becoming very wobbly now . Just like Chris's tooth LOL Your new furniture sounds lovely . I like the sound of having footstools.£100 off too is really good.

Mel you said you did your hair. I take it you havent cut it :-D :-D. Have you decided yet if you are going to get it done ?

I hope everything is going well for Ian Liz . Just going every day for the treatment will be tiring and then the Radiotherapy and then journey home again.I am sure the weeks will fly though and then you have the holiday to look forward to :-D

Frank Report 31 Jul 2018 17:51

Well that was a total waste of time. It's not my shoulder char's playing up. It's a trapped nerve in my neck. He has given me some physic's who he knows, so will contact one to see what heir charges ar, NOT CHEAP I would imagine, and of course I don't know how many visits I will need.

I have felt terrible this afternoon, Dissy and felling that I could faint, Ros seems to think it's a lack of food, as I am not eating much lately.

Ros had a tooth out and a filling. Blood everywhere she said, and her mouth is very sore.

Glad you are feeling a bit better today Jane, just take things east. (you are getting old remember) lol lol I just ducked, from the saucepan that you threw at me. ;-) ;-) ;-) I hop Chris manages to get his tooth out, I did that all the time, and removed many !!!

Just put the Lasagne in the oven, Ros is doing the salad later, as we are not hungry yet.

Jane

Jane Report 31 Jul 2018 18:11

Frank I am just wondering if the trapped nerve in your neck is what might make you be feeling dizzy. Why has the Dr referred you to a private person and not NHS? I think though that it is worth paying for anything that might help . Where is my saucepan ???
I need it for dinner LOL .

I hope Ros's mouth soon stops hurting. It must be the week for teeth what with her and Chris. Lasagne will be just the right thing for Ros to eat tonight.Nice and soft.
Not sure my dinner will be as soft. I have a deboned Chicken ,Potato Wedges and a mix of Green Beans,Peas Lardons, leek(one of Tesco microwave veg dishes) Its really nice.

Gillx

Gillx Report 31 Jul 2018 20:17

So it's a trapped nerve Frank......ouch, hope the physio does some good and it doesn't cost to much. Couldn't it of been done on the NHS like Jane said? Hope the dizziness stops soon. How is Ros's mouth now, hope it isn't to sore and she enjoys her lasagne.

Pleased to see you are feeling better than yesterday Jane. Hopefully your hip will start to feel better soon too. Yes, it was nice and cool for us working in the garden today, although at times we thought it was going to rain, thankfully it didn't though.

Your tops sound nice Mel, I like the sound of the colours. I was wondering if you'd decided to have your hair cut or not, you never did say what you decided to do in the end.

Paving all finished, OH did really well as there were over 20 very heavy flags to put down. Tomorrow we are going to sort out the ground just beyond the paving, it's the last bit on that side and will tie in nicely with all the dug area OH took weeks to do, that I put plants into. Then we're going to make some planters to put on the patio OH did today. He said he is achy now so I've run him a hot bath. I managed to get all the seedlings planted and my neighbour came around with a few plants for us so they have been put into pots too. I gave her the Salvia cuttings I did for her, so we're both happy bunnies now. ;-) The patio OH did looks massive next to the two paths and looks much better than the stones we had there. Now all that's left to pave is the secret garden but that can wait for now, I think OH needs a break from heavy lifting.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 31 Jul 2018 22:46

No I hav'nt had my hair cut. It is getting very thin as its fine anyway and each time I comb it loads seems to come out. Some I think is just beaking off but there are very long ones too and also my long handled comb is now not long enough to reach the end wispy bits.

Hope Ros feels better in the morning with her tooth treatment and poor Chris too. I know just what he is going through as I have done that in the past then one day it just falls out, bingo no dentist charge, hooray. :-D

No I did'nt forget oh's cider Frank and if I had I have some hidden away in the uti room incase at any time there is nothing in Morrisons. He only likes the Crumpton Oak one as others are too sweet and this one is nice and crisp. I like it too although I don't drink much now anyway. Maybe a glass of white grenesh on a saturday night with our steak and I only buy that when its on offer.

Morning all

Up with the lark this morning so we're just about to go out in the garden while the sun is out, it's forecast for light showers this morning so we want to get some more done before the rain. We're thinking of buying some planters instead of making them so I'm going to take a look online to see what's out there.

Hope everyone is feeling okay today. Washing machine has just finished so I'd better go and peg the washing out.

Good morning Gill and Mel, Good afternoon to the rest of you, lol lol

Very frustrating hour or so. I thought I would look for flights to Spain for 17th Sept. Two days before Ros's birthday. Seats available for late afternoon flight at very reasonable prices. I got to the loging in to my account, and kept getting my password rejected. They then send you an eight digit code to enter, to get into your account. AFTER SIX ATTEMPTS I have given up. Will try later, or get Jan to try/

Ross mouth is a lot better his morning thanks, hows Chris doing with ht tooth ??

My neck is still very for, it must have been his poking and prodding. !!! I ould have gone through the NHS but he doctor tells me there is a three/four months waiting time. (is this what we have paid for all our working lives_) ??? I am waiting to hear back from one Phyiso, regarding appointments and COST. Will keep you posted.

Weather similar to you Mel, Blue sky and White clouds. I can't believe how the grass has grown after that rain, I can see I will have to cut it before the week is out.

All the bedding is in he W/M. I don't know where July went Mel, but where did the passed week go ?? It only seems a few days ago that Ros changed he bed. ;-) ;-)

ime for my shower. I did shave before going to the Drs yesterday, so that's one job out of the way. lol lol

I hope you soon finish all your work in he garden gill. I am sure you can get planters on lin, but they would be so easy to make, and at a great saving.

Cloudy here but a calm morning! OH has gone on his travels, so Cas and I are home alone!!
I have Physio through the NHS Frank. I only had to wait a couple of weeks before an appointment came through and the chap was excellent! It might be worth putting your name forward and see what happens. My next appointment is the day after OH finishes his treatment! It should have been today but I had to cancel. I think going privately is pretty costly so it might be worth a whirl!!
Oh goodness!! Pulling out your own teeth -yuk!!!! the thought makes me shudder!! Can't Chris go back to the dentist Jane!!? How is your hip etc this morning? Have you had an Xray to try and run to earth what the problem is? Hope you're feeling better!
Here comes the sun!!

When I signed off here earlier , I went in the kitchen to find Ros cleaning the oven. I know it ended doing, but kept putting it off. I did clean a couple of shelves/racks and said I would do the oven. When I went out later it was done.

I have done the veg for dinner tonight. We are having Lamb Shanks.

This month and Sept, is a bad month for Birthdays, Ros has ben buying like mad. She has just remembered Martine and Brian's anniversary is next week, so has gone off to get them something. Also, Tracey next door has a birthday next week.

Jan has been trying to gt through on Ryanair's website, but kept going locked out like me. She said she would keep trying and let me know.

Liz, do you have to go through the Dr to get NHS treatment. ?? I think I might go down that route . please let me know, as PRIVATE can soon add up, if you need a few treatments.

I think it's turned a lot cooler, so I have closed the patio door.

A warm coffee might do the trick. See you later.
