Yes Frank, I had a chat with my GP and she referred me to the Physio dept of the local hospital. They phoned about a week later to have a chat and after that they sent me an appointment. As you say, going privately can mount up particularly if you need several visits. I've found it's helped no end especially my sciatica which has cleared up! I do various exercises some everyday others twice a week, for my bad back and to strengthen my left leg, so well worth doing!! OH is back and having a snooze. Later on I expect he'll find some outstanding job to do!!

Hope you get your appointment with a phyisio soon frank it will save a lot of money. I had phyisio through the doc when I pulled the muscle out in my back bell ringing. I had to go to Holsworthy Hosp for mine.
I have done some gardening and some ironing. Got the pork ready in the oven and then oh said he needed petrol for the mowers and we can get F & C's and bring it home. So I am going to cook the pork and we will have that tomorrow.

Hi, I have rung the Dr. and asked to be put on the waiting list. In the meantime Ros has insisted I see the Physio. I have rung this afternoon and got an appointment for 5.15 pm Friday. My neck is giving my so much discomfort that she doesn't want me to wait months. The initial consultation is £43.00 and £41.00 for any further appointments. So I hope the first will be my LAST. Jan has booked our flights to go to Spain for Sunday 16th Sept. at 5.40 from Luton. We are going one way, so we can stay a bit longer if we feel like it. As he will be in the new Villa there will b plenty of space, not to get under each others feet. Plus Conrad will be at work, and Jan has now got her own car, so we can get out and about a bit more. (Well the girls can)!!!. I will be happy to sit and read by the pool.
Harvey,Julia or Lewis will take us to the airport and we can leave our car at heir house. They are only 15 minutes from the airport, and can't understand why we have been paying airport charges all his time. One of them will be quite happy to collect us on our return.

Good Afternoon all
Frank good to hear you have got the Physio appointment for tomorrow, in the scheme of things not a lot to pay if it eases your pain, also your holiday to look forward to and good that you are able to stay as long as you like as it's family, also getting lifts to and from the airport. Pleased that Ros' mouth isn't so sore now.
I had the oven cleaner come this morning he cleans both ovens and now they look like new, he also cleans Doreen next door's oven and it was through her that I have mine done he charges £45.00 which I can pay directly into his bank account. He comes twice a year if needed. I also had the chiropodist this morning so not a lot else done.
Richard has 10 days off work so we are having a 6 yard skip delivered on Friday they take small electrical items and one of our old wooden sheds needs taking down. We had the firm Richard's boss uses so know they are reliable and a little cheaper than another local one., cant wait to get rid of stuff that has accumulated since we last had a skip.
Ruby had a traumatic experience this morning Richard had been cleaning out the bottom pond when he heard a splash and she had fallen in, it was all over in a less than a minute as she scrabbled out very quickly. Bless her she was wet all over and needed a towel dry.
It's very warm here to day but not unbearable

Afternoon Everyone Oh I like the sound of having someone to come in and do a good clean of the oven Anne. I might just treat myself :-D I never manage to do a proper job.Its getting down to ground level which does me in lol
Frank, I know here at KGH you can self refer for Physio. I don't know if it is any quicker but you could maybe look into it. At least you have this appointment now for Friday and the Physio can see whats what. Liz I have Osteoarthritis in my hip and some disc trouble in my lower back and now this Achilles Tendonitis on the other side :-S. I need more legs :-D I have to admit that I sometimes forget to do my excercises which is bad as I know how important they are .I must try harder. That was a common comment in many of my school reports !!
Frank, that is nice that the flights are booked now for your next trip to Spain and to be able to stay as long as you like. A bigger villa with a pool sounds just the thing.Even if you dont go in the pool you might be able to sit on the side or steps going down into the pool and cool your tootsies :-D Its certainly warming up here again now. I have just had to put the fan on.
Chris had his tooth out this morning Liz. He is a different man now that he has no pain .I had a young man from Home Serve out today to see the big freezer and he says he things the compressor needs regassing but he is not trained to to it so I have to wait I dont know how long for another man to come out. This man(I say man) was very young . Maybe 20. He kept calling me Bab. " All right Bab" Take care Bab" I have a feeling he may be from Birmingham . I have never been called Bab before. Love ,Darling,Sweetheart,Honey and Me Duck but never Bab :-D
Our Runners are not looking so great.I am hoping they will improve . The Onions are HUGE ! I must take a pic.
Mandy I bet the pool will be well used again this week and well into next week :-D What lucky Grandchildren . They will remember your pool for always and in years to come when they are all grown up it will be 'Remember Nanny and Grandads pool and all the fun and games' :-D
I am just doing sausages and chips tonight with peas and mushrooms for James and Me . Chris is having an Omelette and Baked Beans as he can't eat anything too chewy tonight.
Hannah has been feeling poorly today just like I did on Sunday :-( so she has not been to work. I wonder if it was a bug I had and have passed it on to her :-S

I think I need one of those people to come and clean my oven. As you say its hard to get down there now. I have a large tray in the bottom of mine which just fits inside or under the grill as its a double oven. I tend to leave it in the bottom oven though and I have a large sheet that goes in the bottom under the grill. Its marvelous its non stick. I would buy another one but they hav'nt got them in Morrisons anymore. I should look on line really and see if I can find one on there.
We went to Hatherleigh for petrol and ordered our F & C on the phone for a certain time and then picke dthem up once we had the petrol. It was lovely. Not greasy at all and the batter is always lovely and light and crisp.

Morning all,
Cloudy here this morning but its dry and still very warm.
I had a funny dream about giving away big geranium plants and then remembering I had'nt taken any cuttings from them and I needed some for a show. Then I was going through a red traffice light. Very strange so when I opened my eyes I got up.
I cooked the pork last night so we can have that cold with new cornish pots and peas tonight so I may get some gardening done today if the weather stays like this it should be quite comfortable out there as long as it dos'nt turn very hot.

Morning all
Cloudy here today and nice and cool, it's suppose to be going hotter this afternoon. I put my washing on the line at 10pm last night and it was dry this morning. I left the washing inside last time I washed late and by the morning it smelt horrible, it must of been the hot weather. I had to wash it again, so that's why I pegged it out last night. I might try it again if it's going to dry overnight. ;-)
So you have an appointment then Frank, good luck for Friday, hope it helps. Pleased to see Ros is feeling better to. I have my oven cleaned each year for free, it came with the new cooker we bought and I think lasts for three years, so I don't need to worry about it for a couple of years yet. I clean it in between his visits so it's not that dirty, but it's nice to have it done professionally. I also have my washing machine and dryer cleaned too as we bought those at the same time.
I had a look online for some planters with a trellis back but they are to low for us, so we're going to make two today using some trellis my mum gave me years ago. We worked so hard in the garden yesterday both of us were in bed before 11pm which is very early for us. We even slept in until 7am this morning, which is late for us.
Sorry to hear about Hannah Jane, I hope it's not a bug and she feels better soon. How are you feeling today? Yes, you should keep up with your exercises, they will do you good. So Chris had his tooth out in the end. I must admit I could never take my own teeth out.....yuk. At least he won't be in pain now and it'll soon heal. Hope your freezer is sorted soon for you.
Oh poor Ruby Anne, I bet that was a shock for her falling on the pond. At least she's okay and didn't come to any harm, other than getting wet.
Well, I'd better go OH is waiting for me, hopefully I won't be to tired to come back on here later like yesterday.

Good morning Mel, and all my lovely FRIENDS.
It's only Thursday Mel still Friday and Saturday to come. and the rest of today !!!
Another iffy nights sleep. I was DOG TIRED at 9.30 so went to bed. I was up for a drink of water at 11.30 not having closed my eyes. Something kept waking me through the night, so was very disturbed sleep. Who Ros got up, I said I was going to have a lie in. YES all of a quarter pf an hour.
Madam is at Stitchery Do until 3.00 pm. So I MIGHT cut the lawn at the back. I have prepared the meal for tonight. Belly Pork ribs, Rice and vegetables. I have done extra Mushrooms, Onions, Courgettes and put some sweetcorn in, as there is never enough Veg in the Rice.
I bet Ruby had a real shock falling in the pond. That will teach her for being nosey lol lol I hop she is O.K.
So Mr Chris went to the Denist in the end. Wise move ;-) ;-) They make sure the cavity is clean after the extraction. I hope he is more comfortable today. Mel, That's very good of the F & C place to have it cooked and ready to pick up. Ours you have to queue, which when busy, can be a long wait.
I hope Hannah hasn't anything that she can pass around. These bugs can be so easy to pass on.
When Ros went to the car this morning, it was covered in WASPS. She parks the car under the big fir thee, so I expect it's the sap that drips on the car, they are after, I said make sure none get in the car before you drive off.
A lot of high clouds around and a bit cooler. so perfect for doing jobs outside, which I expect Gill and Mel will be later on.
I'm off for another COT. See you all later.

We have had the female pheasent and two of her chicks here this morning and I fed her corn first then they had a load of mealworms which the babes came over for too. They had their fill and wandered off down the garden and I had to come in as I was'nt getting anything done watching them.
I have now done some wet dusting of the windowsills as the moths keep pooping on them and they stain too. Now I am going to have a quick hoover while oh is mowing and then do the bathroom. The shower needs a good going over and I am going to have a go at the glass with the karcher.

Well I have been a lazy boy. I sat and read and finished my FROST book. It was very good, and so much like the Jack Frost series.
I had a dressed crab for lunch. (very indulging) Ros buys me one now and again, and as I haven't had any breakfast, I thought they will fill the hole. <3 <3 I do enjoy a dressed crab.
Now I will watch the lunchtime news, and then get he mower out and do the back lawn.
Now Ml, get on with your H.W. and stop watching the babies. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Yes Frank I did. I hoovered the kitchen and diner and ssucked up the bl**dy leggy spiders AGAIN and all their webs. They make so many. I even hoovered my keyboard as it was very dusty but I forgot my paint brush to get right in between the keys.
Did some washing and put that on the line. Fed the chickens and bantams and gave the robins some mealworms.
Sprayed the shower and left it to soak and did lunch and now I am going to clean the bathroom and the little loo.
Oh had crab pate for lunch but I bet he would rather have had your dressed crab. :-|

Back lawn all done, and the old feather boards that Barry left have been broken up and put in the green bin.
Ros came home soon after 2.30 pm, they finished early. I made her a COT which she drank, almost cold. She then went de-heading the plants, and is still out there pottering around. I am watching a bit of EDEN and trying to relax my neck. It's BL@@DY painful at the moment, with all the to and throwing with the mower. On the first strip it stopped dead. I checked and changed he fuse, still wouldn't work, checked the control on the mower handle to see if a wire had come adrift. NO. So changed the fuse on he extension cable. BINGO. all started to work again. But with all the fuffing around, up and down the lawn, in and out of the garage, I was just about Bugg@@ed. I drank over a litre of water and sat down three times during the mowing. Roll on tomorrow, when I hope to get some relief from the Phyiso.
I have the lawn sprinkler on at the moment, trying to get the lawn green all over. I've moved it once, and it's doing the flower beds at the same time. So just the greenhouse, runner beans, front garden, Patio and pots to do. That will take another hour or so. I will do that after the evening meal, when it will be much cooler. We do have a bit of cloud around at the moment. But I don't think they are rain clouds.
I have ordered more Hedgehog food today. The little devils are getting through it like there's no tomorrow. Where he hell they put it I don't know. I hope I'm not feeding a local cat. !!! Do cats eat hogs food Mel. ???
Hope you are all well, enjoy your evening, I doubt I will be back again today. We will se. xxx

Frankk yes cats will eat the hog food!! You should get yourself a mushroom crate and cut the bit out on the end where they put a label. Put the food under that and put a brick on top or a paving slab if you have one spare. Hogs will get under that but a cat won't. Have you moved your hog house to down the garden under a bush? against the fence?

Evening Everyone
Oh Anne, I somehow missed reading the bit about Ruby falling in the pond!! It must have given here a right fright . Is she a fan of water? She will keep a wary eye on that pond now and probably give it a wide birth LOL
The heat here this afternoon is too much again .i am suprised to managed to do the lawns Frank. I though Barry was going to do them? Don't expect to feel any relief from Physio tomorrow !!. It often feels worse to start with (sorry about that).I would ask if heat or cold is best for your neck and shoulder. At least you are going to get all the right advice now.
Mel leave the dusting and just watch the birdies
:-D Thats far more intersting than damp dusting and spider web catching :-D. You should seethe blooming webs again here. They are doing my head in now.
Spag Bol tonight ,with our own peas and RUNNERS :-D (well just the few runners I have got so far.
Gill you both must been so tired last night to be in bed that early and to sleep until 7 !!! That is most unusual for you :-D. What a pity the trellis is too low .That means more work for you now :-S
I am going to get the slow cooker on in the morning as we are going down to Fitz for lunch. We most likely won't fancy anything really to eat in the evening ,but James can have his before he goes off for the weekend to Jess and we can always have the rest on Saturday. At least it will all be cooked :-D. It is going to be so hot down on the terrace at Fitz's . I will have my fan and cool spray with me :-D
