Huia, I'm sure Marilyn will put herself out to get back to New Zealand now, just so she can say she really has met you.... :-)

I've only met 2 people from GR (Maz and YG) and they were both lovely friendly ladies. I get emails from lots of GR members and I've spoken to our Marilyn on the phone. Stephen very kindly sent a book to me that was signed by the lovely Neil Oliver (hope Maddie doesn't read that bit). All in all I think most people on this site have made lots of friends.

Linda and Pat are starting to make me feel guilty about not going to the gym........... hmm, I'm seriously thinking about joining again. Actually I've still got my key to the machines from when I was a member before.

Mind you........... thinking about it is all I'm doing!!!

evening every one

Hi all from down under.

I was playing on my computer last night and I thought there was something strange about the page but couldnt quite pin it down. Then I realised it was my eyes. I have had a bit of a headache for a few days and I had suddenly developed the visual disturbance that sometimes comes with a migraine, although the only time I had that visual disturbance in the past, I didnt have a headache with it. I used to get a lot of the migraine headaches though, but havent had any for many years now. I promptly shut down the computer and took myself to bed, with the mobile phone at my side in case it was something more serious. Half an hour later I got up and the eyes had come right. I still have the headache though, despite taking a couple of panadol last night, so have taken a couple of paracode this morning. I seem to have picked up a bug from somebody. I hope it doesnt last too long, as this time next week I will be heading for the airport.

Bit nicer here today.
The gym was Ok, but hard work.
Managed some ironing while hubby was at work
Then I did a bit of research, found one or two people.

Today I am off to my daughters and tomorrow we are going to Swindon, need to watch what I spend but mainly for a look around.

I like being old. I have no other choice.

I feel guilty reading what you all do during the day. I am not lazy far from it ?but I find it is harder to do jobs as quikly as I use to be able to.
so it takes me much longer and I get behind with jobs I needed to do.
This afternoon I have a medical with my doctor at the surgery at 3 oclock. I too have a problem with my eyes I was on three diffirent eye drops and then one of the eye Doctors at the hospital told me to use two instead of three. now I have a letter telling me off that I should have been using the three.so I have to tell my Doctor this afternoon.

did anyone see WDYTYA last night ? what a boring Robin Gibb he showed no emotions in the search and the search was more a lesson on weaving. they will lose viewers if they carry on like this.

Morning all, we've got sunshine but it's very cold, someone said we're going to get snow next month............ according to the telly!

Rita, hope you get it sorted out with your doctor about your eye drops, our eyes are very precious to us, can't take any chances.

Stephen, is it tomorrow that you're going to see someone about your eye?

I think we should rename this thread, I tried to get on what happened they told me to sign in I did, then I found they had switched me to Friends reunited. had to sign in again I did they left me on that so I tried to go back to home that didnt happened so I had to sign off.
I had a letter from my dentist saying the had altered my appointment for this month. I had to phone and say I didnt have an appointment I dont go back till next march unless I have a d ental problem.

I managed to change the bed linen this morning and took the duvet cover and cases of the pillows I felt shattered by the time I had replaced them all I made a cup of coffee and watch some freeview for half an hour then a film came on. it was a Russian film wording written underneath as well as the Russian words. I looked at the years it was made 1925 well before I was born. it must have been one of the first silent movies.

I haven't been able to use my Lappy .....my provider had technical difficulties for 3hrs , and boy don' you miss it ? I did do some housework instead and actually cooked a recipe of chicken for dinner tonight ....Pete said I think the Provider should go off a bit more ..LOL

Huia ....A lot of folk seem to be having problem's with eyes lately I wonder if its due to the all of us on the laptops ?... the print might be affecting the strain of eye's :-S

Good to see you back George, I hope you behaved yourself while you was away, and didn't get falling down drunk. It's amazing how after a few drinks, the legs seem to have a mind of their own. lol
I think I should have a word with Foggy, I need my place decorated, and I am sure I could arrange a few days away while it's being done.

I am having a really lazy day today, the sun is shining, and I have sat in the garden for a while, looking at the weeds, and thinking that I must pull them out, but I just cant be bothered today.

Not had any luck with a new job yet, got a letter from the vets saying sorry the position has been filled. Well at least I got a letter, a lot of employers don't bother.
Rita don't worry about getting jobs done, just do what you can and do a little each day. MY fil tries to do too much in one go then moans he's overdone it, we're trying to persuade him to have a cleaner a couple of hours a week to do things he can't manage but he don't like spending his money.

Afternoon all
Managed some gardening this morning before hubby left for work. It all grows so quickly, especially when you have been away.
Then the grass people came so now have to pay them.
After an ex neighbour passed and asked if we wanted the windows cleaned, job done and gutters cleared too !!
Just doing a bit more ironing.
Seeing daughter tonight. So won't be around

Marilyn, they repainted my lounge, hall, stairs and landing and kitchen.
Lounge, hall, stair and landing walls a kind of off white with white satinwood woodwork, and kitchen, walls in pale yellow and again white satinwood woodwork, no drapes LOL.
Looks great with my sanded wooden floors.
When the old boy suggested the colours I was a little unsure, but looks fab.
