Night everyone,
I'm back from my trip to the concert. Dire Traits was quite good.

Good morning friendlies,
looks like another nice day on the way. I have a little ironing to do and then I will have a lazy afternoon.
I got a new canary yesterday and he is gorgeous although 'his wife' doesn't seem all that impressed at the moment :-S He's singing away and she won't even look at him, lol. Hope they get their act together soon, she has been laying eggs for months and getting upset when we removed them so I thought she might like an OH :-D
Hope everyone is well and has a lovely day.

Morning everyone

The sun is out and it looks like we are in for another lovely day.

Foggy perhaps George has his phone on and has dropped off the sleep. ? with all that excitment he had on his holidays

I have stacks of washing to do tomorrow, as I am spring cleaning in the Fall how about that then.?
I use to love Winter and the snow and walking the dog along the cliff in Caister, now I am not keen, I worry incase I fall over .and hate being cold. yet I love the beautiful views you get with snow on the tree tops and houses.
Our Paper shop has its cards out and has started getting Christmas gifts out and tins and jars of Chocolate.
I have even seen boxes of Christmas Crackers.on display in shops..

Stephen my husband use to catch salmon in Berivie in the basion and mother in law use to cook it for us for dinner or tea, you could not get it any fresher than that ?

time for my second cup of tea now. I want to see if I can get rid of some of the weeds in the front garden.

Downton Abbey is on to night and in the afternoon you can see last weeks if you missed it.
see you later

Rita

She's just playing hard to get, Cath!!

Huia, sometimes arranged marriages work out quite well............. well, that's what my Muslim friends say.

Looks like we're in for a nice day, it's very warm outside.

I worked in the garden for hours yesterday but I've still got loads to cut back. Might rearrange it all once I get the weeds out............ glutton for punishment!!

Pat, your best smile is better than a new hair do.

Stephen, it's supposed to be sunny the next few days, so you'll need to wear 2 pairs of sunglasses.

Foggy, are you Scottish? Is that your family tartan?

Rita, I hate the winter, we get too much snow here.

Edit: Linda, can I be first in the queue to send my ironing down the cyber hatch please? Got to get here before that Mo gets in.

Marilyn, If my eyes were ok I'd be up the tree with my binoculars. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Hope all are well.

I'm just slowly getting a bit more vision but my right eye is still just a blur. The sun is out here so it's the really dark glasses for me again today. :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P

A burst water main means we are without fresh water at the kitchen tap.
Thankfully I do have a storage tank so I can draw on that for a while.

Stephen2009

Stephen2009 Report 25 Sep 2011 12:34

Marilyn,

I specifically added a storage tank to the system.......everyone seems to throw them out now......if ever the pipes underground were to freeze or burst then I could go for a couple of days or more on my stored water.

The mains has burst on the main road so my storage tank has proved it's worth.

Belts and braces....that's me :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

George I guessed you would find Foggy email and go, you had a lovely day for it.
Yvonne I didnt know you could buy a spray to get rid of spiders, thing is I dont like tham but I think it is wrong to killl them,

we always had storage tanks because of fear of frozen pipes or burst water mains. till we moved to Ealing and John got into the loft and found a water tank it had old socks in it. I think the man must have done his washing Lol, . he was an insurance broker who we brought the house off. a victorian lovely house you could walk under the floor boards. This man blocked all the chimneys up because of dust and soot the man a few doors from me told me not to light a fire incase the chimney was blocked and it was, he had nails in the windows incase anyone broke in. we had to laugh as he dealt in insurance.that was the best house I ever had. my husband installed central heating in the house,
I have been busy this morning I weeded the garden it looks nice and tidy now. ( it is like a postage stamp in size ) but it is hard work to weed.at my age.
