Hi George if only you had been at home on Monday I would have popped in for a cuppa !!
We broke down on our way home and were at A303 and A350 to Longleat. Just down the road from Stonehenge, so on your doorstep.

Yes I had a ball on Holiday .....Southampton to New York on the
Queen Mary 2 . then train across USA back to San Francisco.

Had a giggle about all the people we met from a Hells Angeles to a Texan old lady that ran a farm, a train enthusiast that followed us wherever we went ..LOL calling Marilyn at every importunity on the train.

Back to normality now ....ughhh

Not so bad though As I will be off again soon

No end of trouble getting on here and have given up a few times. It's so frustrating.
George I wish I had friends like yours, lol. How lovely to have a freshly painted house to come back to.
My packing is done and I'm raring to go on tuesday. Not too keen on the first ferry trip as it is 13 hours but have a cabin so will try and spend at least half of it asleep. The 4 to 5 hour drive will be ok and then on to the next ferry for 4 hours, phew.
Hope all the friendlies are well and Stephen hope the eye is getting better.

Off to Hospital early this morning , spend most of the time sitting waiting, although I must say they know their stuff and I feel confident in what they do.

My medical went well, although I have to use three lots of different eye drops now instead of two,. but my blood pressure was stable. so there is life in the old gal yet.

morning every one

I have had a busy day. I went to one town for a positive aging expo. Bought myself a folding walking stick for my flight to the Chathams. Bought a plate for my OH. It has a curved edge (______) something like that, to make it easier for him to get his food on the spoon, unlike the ordinary dinner plates.

After a couple of hours there looking at all the exhibitions I then went to my usual town for a party to farewell a woman who has worked for the hospice for 22 years or more. She is going to live in Orewa. We all took a plate of food there, and we all took a plate of food home! That is despite the fact that I ate far too much, and some of the others were doing their share of eating. But then some people took enough food to feed an army. I will have to climb a lot of hills tomorrow to work it all off.

I have had a letter this morning from the hospital with an appointment for my next scan 16th November. I dont see the consultan till 3rd Jan. this is the earliest I have every had a scan appointment,

better see what I can have for my dinner. I always have my dinner at about 1 or 2 oclock.

What a glorious day it is today, the washings out,and one line full is now dry,waiting to be ironed. Think I will put it down the cyber hatch for Linda to do for me. lol
I have just seen the weather forecast on the t.v, and it looks like the S.E is in for a heat wave next week. Ooooh I cant wait.

I hope they don't lose your scan results Rita, as it's a long time between the 16th Nov and the 3rd of Jan next year.

Marilyn, I agree with you about who should go tonight on B.B. She a very flighty, stupid 28 year old, who is leading a 19 year old lad, up the garden path. Mind you she's not that stupid, she is getting more air time than the rest of the house over her antics.
I thought she was just a hostess at a night club, cum pole dancer, but last night she reckoned she was a therapist of some sort.
She lives in cloud cuckoo land, if she thinks she is so popular.
Did you see the lads mum on the after programme, she said that she thought she was using him as well.

Stephen, I hope you get on alright at the hospital today, and that they can help you get it sorted out quickly.

Still hanging in there ! Back to the hospital in two weeks time. :-P :-P :-P :-P

The are pleased with the limited progress from last week. Certainly I'm not in pain just now. Last week the pain was terrible.

Anyway enough of that......I'm alive......and that's most important. :-D :-D :-D

So many folk are a lot worse than I am. I'm thankful that I will at least get some kind of healing. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Pleased to hear there's some improvement Stephen, hope it continues to improve.

Been lovely and warm here today, I've been to a charity event and spent a lot of money........... I've eaten a lot of cakes as well. Can't resist home made cakes, especially when my friend is the one who makes them.
