I have not done anything exciting Rita. Thats why I could not wait for you to get back,to liven my life up a bit. You have so many interesting things to tell us. Shows how exciting my life is,I am going to my sons pub tommorrow,to help clean it up for him. He does not have a cleaner,as he is trying to build the business up,and does not want to pay out any wages just yet. So he has been trying to do the cleaning himself, but he is not as good at it as we women. So I have bought myself new rubber gloves, plenty off bleach and disinfectant. It will be like a new pin by the time I am finished. All ready for the punters to make it like a s**t hole by the weekend.

Morning all Mo that sounds like you will have your hands full today then Lol. still I can see his point of view about paying out for a cleaner when he has a nice Mum to do it for him your be behind that bar in no time and we can call you you Peggy Mitchell But being serious I hope he makes a go of the pub so many in Hampstead have closed down at least three in Hampstead , I think they have closed due to not doing food as well and the no smoking ban seems to have been a prolem as well The Irish Pubs are still doing well in Willesden they meet there after church we saw a lot of them going in even the priest. I dont go into pubs only if we are out and want a pub lunch but I know a few people who do.
well make sure those rubber gloves have no holes.

Hi Shelley
when my sister and l went t to the Imperial War Museum it was packed old gentlemen in wheelchairs being pushed around looking at the guns and tanks they had used during the war. But school children there were hundreds of them they had lectures on in one room and the waiting time to get in them was 35 -60 minutes and children from other schools were waiting to go in. The children were all in their teens some young some older. all well behaved as well. We sat down on a seat as I was getting tired and the announcer said this is for the chinese children and she rattled off a greeting to them. in Chinese I thought what a lovely idea. It is a shame they dont take more of the children to these places I mean the free entry ones as some of the others the parents would not be able to afford to pay for them to go in.
Rita ps the Rita on the general topics is not me.it is someone with the same name..

Hi Rita and Shelly, no sign of anyone else yet.
I've just had a man here who's going to cut some of my trees down for me next week. He cut 5 really big ones down a few years ago and he's going to fell another 4 on Friday. I hope they don't smash any of my small trees when they fall. My trees have a preservation order on them so I had to get written permission to cut them down. The gardener told me it would be a £20,000 fine if I didn't have written permission. I had to show him the letter off the council before he would agree to fell them.

Hello girls, mucky Mo's back. My goodness it took me over two hours to clean the S**t hole up. I wouldn't mind but my son's girlfriend was there, watching me work. But I felt proud off myself when I had finished. The only thing I am not happy about is having to clean the loo's. Some dirty git, had thrown up in the gents, and it was all up the wall. Good job I had my nice thick rubber gloves on,or I could not have touched it. I was holding my breath whilst I was doing it. The whole place smelt off bleach by the time I had finished. My son has been there for four weeks, and I don't think the lazy so and so, had done any cleaning at all. Pauline I hope the tree surgeon takes care, when he is lopping the tops off. Now the thing is,do you go out,and hope and pray he doesn't bring the house down. Or do you stay in,and hide under the stairs for safety. lol Shelly, I would not enjoy playing darts in my sons pub. It's to noisy. I like music, but not when it hurts my eardums to listen to it. Why oh why do youngsters have to have the volume up so loud. Rita, My son can't do food in his place, as the brewery have not yet put the kitchen in. Mind you,I dont think he would be able to cope, doing lunches. Also I believe you have to have a licence to sell food.

Pauline our trees here on the estate are they same we have to get permission from the surrey council. three of the trees the other side of me grow so much the people have to have their lights on all day. but they only let us trim the branches back.I am pleased they are not near to me that would drive me mad. we had some tree doctors here just before Chistmas to cut back some other trees and they damaged the trolley shed where people keep their shopping trollys in and no one noticed it till I asked the estate manager what she was going to do about it as people trollys would get soaking wet.she said are you sure they did it. I said no I did silly woman.she is suppose to get intouch with them she has not yet. They are not cheap to get cut back or down are they?

Mo, don't know how you cleaned that up in the loo, I couldn't have done it. You know he's going to want you to do it on a regular basis now that you've made such a good job of it don't you?
I agree with Rita, his girlfriend must be a lazy so and so to just stand there and let you do it all yourself. Did you do as Rita said and put your feet up?
Mo, I'm not getting the tops off the trees - I'm getting them felled, they're about 60ft high. They gave me permission to get rid of them as long as I replaced them with smaller ones.
Rita, I didn't ask how much it was going to cost, I thought my hubby had already sorted a price out but he's just told me he thought I'd sorted it out. Lack of communication or what?

Shelly, it's nice to know that some young kids are interested in history, your lot will have a good teacher in you.
I'm not digging up the roots of the trees, I'll just leave them to rot, that's what we did with the last lot we got rid of.
I think hubby drilled some holes in the stumps and put something in to make them rot quicker.

I did not tell you earlier, but my son does want me as his cleaner. He wanted me to go in three days a week, and he would pay me £7.50 an hour. I have told him I will do two days, but not the three,as he wanted me to do Saturdays. But thats my big shop day. He also asked if I would clean his friends pub, just around the corner from him. The chap there said he would pay me £20.00 for the two hours. I might look stupid, but I have no intention off cleaning lav vies all day long. I know it's more money, but money is not everything, and I am only doing it for my son's sake. I know his girlfriend is a lazy mare. And he is a fool, but she is a lot younger than him. And he spoils her. I think it's an ego thing with him at the moment, but he has a big shock coming to him,if he expects her to become a housewife, coz it will never happen, all the time she has got a h*le in her a*s*,she will sit on it. Oooop getting catty here,STOP it Mo. I have had Roly running round making me tea, since I have been in. So I am now sitting here being lazy.

I should think so as well Mo, you just sit there and put your feet up, you've done enough work for one day.
I hope your son comes to his senses soon and sees having a young girlfriend isn't everything. She's onto a good thing isn't she? You could accidentally spill the dirty water on her as you walk past - I would.

Paulineee are you trying to get me into trouble. I have learnt from past experiences,to keep my gob shut, where my childrens partners are concerned. I found myself on the receiving end,so I now keep my opinions to myself. She apparantly lost her job a couple off days ago. oh oh I can hear your brains working the same as mine did. Why have a dog and bark yourself comes to mind. Lazy girl that she is. I can see my daughters having something to say about it,especially when my son,has his two children on a sunday. If she puts a foot out off place with the kiddies, she will unleash the demons from hell, from my girls.

Oh, so now he has to keep her as well?
And you know she isn't going to do any work for her keep.
OK Mo, you just put the bullets in the gun and let your girls do the shooting.
They're probably better shots than you anyway....lol
At least you can keep an eye on things while you're working there.
Edit: Just seen Shelly's post.
I think that would just about kill anything Shelly....LOL

shelly I think it is good to get the kids interested in the museum's they learn such a lot much better then reading it in a book I use to take my three when they were small every holiday we made for a museum took our lunch with us as well.we didnt live that far from the museums then.
Mo you have made me laugh about cleaning the lavies. you will have to ask him if you get paid holidays as well.and if you have to have public transport ask for fares. Lol I have a son with a wife like that lazy she does work at a school five days a week doing playground duty but thats all her place is alway a mess she cleans up when her mother is coming but sits on her backside most of the time.. you can see I dont get on very well with her but then niether does my son and my family dont get on with her either. she is a strange person.not many f riends I could count them on two fingers..

Flippin heck Shelly battery acid, thats a bit drastic. Doesn't jeyes fluid do the same sort off thing. What I say Pauline is,give her enough rope and she will hang herself. I don't need the bullets. Perhaps a catapult up the backside would help. Rita,my ex daughter in law was a lazy mare as well. So I think my son has got used to living in squalor. When he was back at home, his bedroom was a tip. And it was always causing arguments between Roly and I. I could not leave it like it,and cleared it up every day. I know I probably made a rod for my own back, but it is my home. And I could not stand the smell off the stale wrappers from kebabs, and pizza's and the like. He was making my home smell.
