Hi Rita, Mo, Shelly, Pauline, Yvonne, Lady and Sue................ Marilyn too if you look in. I hope you enjoy your cruise as much as I enjoyed St Lucia with my husband.Just what the Dr ordered !!! Wall to wall sunshine, or should that be beach to sea to sky. The island actually needs some rain, they had virtually no rain in their rainy season last June - November and have had no rain at all for the last 2 months though it used to rain in the early hours. They are on water restrictions, locally I think. It didn't affect us, but we kept beach towels for at least a couple of days and said don't need to cahnge our sheets and towels daily either It might help? It really was a beuatiful island. The resort was on the east side so we Atlantic breezes which kept us cooler. Sun all day every day. The food was really good(far too much). Drink on tap too. I did enjoy a few cocktails, not too much alcohol, lots of fruit juices and ice............. who am I trying to fool. We took one round the island tour and saw all the important parts, meant hubby didn't have to drive and could see for himself for a change. We saw mountains, beautiful harbours a waterfall and a volcano which has not errupted since the 1700's. It still bubbles but nothing more. Unfortunately there are bush fires too, some natural others started by arsonists, but they have to be left to burn out as they aren't accesible and there is no water either. We really relaxed I read so many books. Stayed in the shade as much as possible, but still tanned and loved the warmth. Would we go back ? YES. The staff were so happy both to see you and always ready to help. Always a smile on their faces. A questionaire I filled in on-line has already been ackowledged and will be noted too, They promise. Well I must try to stay awake til a decent time as we are 4 hours later than home It is only 9:00 pm now and in St Lucia it is 5:00 and time for pre dinner drinks !!! Will be back in the morning off to do some knitting now to keep me awake.
Linda :o) XxX

Oh sunshine and warmth, you lucky lucky people. How I need some of that!
Vague plans for going to Corfu again in June are up the swannee now as o.h.'s eldest is getting married in August and has issued the royal command that there be a parent's get together barbeque in mid June, which means I have to spend time with o.h.'s ex who is the wettest drippiest woman I know (knew her years ago before she married o.h. altho didn't realise till after I got together with him 13 yrs ago who she had married) Scrounger son is coming back to be best man with the woman he married to stay in USA and I think o.h. is helping with the fare, and as he can only think of a small amount of things at a time, mention of a holiday sends him in a tizz! Best laid plans and all that, even o.h. thinks these two are rushing into marriage altho they have been together for a couple of years and have a house purchased between them, on the back of the profit from her flat. She is just so desperate to be settled and have kids, she is only 31, what's the rush? O.h. says he isn't sure how it will work out as his son is so selfish and always puts himself first so kids will come way down the list....... Am not looking forward to this at all! Would much rather have been planning the trip to Corfu or somewhere hot!

Hi everybody, just popping in before I go to see my sister.
Welcome back Linda, you've been a miss on here. Glad to see you had a nice time, it sounds lovely. You'll be all relaxed and tanned for the wedding now - well, tanned.
Liz, I wouldn't be looking forward to that little get-together either. You never know, he might feel he needs a holiday after the wedding in August.
Marilyn where've you been? I thought you'd dropped your lappy over the side of the ship but you aren't even on the ship yet.
I didn't know that things were more expensive in OZ, I always thought they were cheaper over there.... shows how much I know!
Mo, that's just the sort of thing my hubby would do, good job your son could pop over and sort it out for you. It could have been a disaster if it was left any longer. It would have cost a bit to get a plumber out as such short notice as well.
Where's Rita today?

I didn't see that Rita but I'll have a look for it tomorrow. I don't buy anything on the Internet but I'd still like to know what things are fake.
Where has everybody gone today?
We've just caught up with everyone else - we've gone live on Google maps today.

Shelly you should have known better than to miss Marilyn out of anything.
I've been playing with Google maps, it seems strange being able to walk around the streets where I used to live - without moving off my chair.

Afternoon everyone Well got up later than usual. Made a shopping list and then went to Tesco and got what we need for the next week hopefully !!! Especially as hubby will be at work until Thursday 18th, on early shift. I've done 3 machine loads of washing and got a lot dry enough to iron. So done some of that too. Hubby has cleaned the car and made a start on clearing the moss in the cracks between the blocks on the drive. At least it kept him awake. Stir fry chicken tonight. Easy not too much to clear up afterwards either.
Think I might start some seeds off tomorrow with the little one so then I know spring is coming. We have snowdrops and crocuses in the garden but the daffodils are still small. I did see one in flower before we went away.
The sun was lovely whilst we were away and today has been quite overcast and had to put the lights on early.
Enjoy your evening whatever you are up to
Linda :o) XxX
Shelly I'd like to see you art work too if you could e-mail me Thanks X

What a surprise one of my granddaughters has got into her first choice of college. Farnborough. she is studying Physiology, Social, science and English. we could not beleive it. Just shows you some are lucky to get into the college of their choice I am so happy for her. So is everyone working hard then on this thread ? I have not done anything today on the research just answer emails.and topics. I am going to make myself a sandwich now for my tea. Pauline it really is an eye opener i was surprised how many people have got conned. and when I saw the medication being made up in dirty back street rooms abroad and the people where in street clothes and even a car macanic was making the tablets.
