Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 9 Mar 2010 02:02

Counselling went very well, she picked up on several things I said and noted them down to be investigated further with me on another meeting.I really feel a good rapport with her so fingers crossed folks, she might just be the person to help set me free!!

Managed to get to the docs well in time too, and spent several minutes with her, I have to take vit d pills as well as the jab I had and have another blood test in May to see how I am doing. She also gave me some steroid cream to help my sore face after the allergic reaction that stopped me going to the get together of the Orford crowd, I am still so cross abou that. Take care all, it was so cold here.

I am having so much trouble with this Gr thread laterly for some reason I type my article out and it vanishes I get lots of adverts appear and have to start all over again.

Hi all I hope I can get this said before it vanishes again.
.
One Liz I own the flat but it is leashold and the ground and estate is own ed by Anchor Trust house for elderly people we had a warden but the name changed to Estate manager. so did her duties. but I brought on the lease as warden assisted. so much fior agreements.
I pay nearly £50 a week for services. which includes window cleaner, and cleaner for the stairs and lobby once aweek. it is also incluides central heating maintenance and boiler and radiators.and use of the laundry room but the biggest laugh is the Drain's they are covered by insurance.it did include a warden but since she is now an estate manger she is responsible for the contractors we have to go through her to get anything done at a higher up level. I dont know what she does for the rest of the morning being as her hours are 9 till 12.30.
for this she gets a rent free flat part payments of her electric. Gas, Phone and water and all holidays paid and 1 day off a month and wages..

Rita Report 9 Mar 2010 09:44

Its me again.
I have just had a set too with the estate manger. I asked "Are the men coming this morning to do the drains ?" her reply "yes he phoned me this morning and said he could not get here till midday." I told her "if he isnt I am phoning the Enoviroment Health Officer . and I wanted her to know why". she said" I c annot do anything else I phoned him last Thursday he he could not come till today. I said so our Health isnt that important enough for you to phone someone who was available. " I told her "you know my immune system is not strong due to the chemo injections and I can get anyting going and through your neglect I could end up in hospital. "she was not happy as she went on her way.
I told her" I am bringing this up at the next AGM as it is not good enough. she isnt doing the job she is being paid for."

Good for you Rita, your immune system is very low at the moment so you have to be extra careful. Stick to your guns and ring Environmental Health if the work isn't started today. Let them know that you're on chemo and can't take risks with your health. And make sure you tell them the building is full of elderly people who obviously have low immune systems.

Rita, maybe you should complain to Anchor about the fact that you bought the flat because the contract said it was warden assisted. If the manager no longer has warden duties then surely a warden should be employed to fulfill the contract agreement.

Liz, that's good news about your counsellor, it makes all the difference when someone takes notice of you. Let's hope things start to pick up for you soon.

Shelly, are we going to get a picture of the finished wine box?

No word form Marilyn yesterday, I hope she hasn't dropped her lappy overboard.

Are you playing darts tonight Mo? I can't remember what night you play your matches.

I'll be going out soon, got to go for food shopping. I hate the shops when they're packed so I always go on a Tuesdays because it's pretty quiet.

Rita Report 9 Mar 2010 12:18

Pauline I have already had a go at them about having a warden assisted on the lease and they said they no longer have wardens they are estate managers. I once wrote to head Office and asked what the Estate mangers job was . they sent a copy to her and to her area Estate Manger I got aa snotty letter back telling me she was there to make sure the contractors did there work to welcome anyone new onto the estate (who buy a house ) to check in the morning that everyone was alright.. That was it. makes me laugh we pay the wages and all her little holidays and perks and yet we have no say in the matter.not one of us sits in at interviews on the applications when they look for a new Estate Manager.they do that we pay for the cost of the interviews and then they send someone down and say meet your new estate Manager .

we had a lovely one before she would do anything even get your perscription when the doctor called this one said she is not allowed to do this, if you fall she is not allowed to help you up she pulls the cord for the paramedics..
it is now 12.15 and no sign of the contractor. the water is seeping out of the main drain on the lawn and the side drain is smelling now as well
is't this exciting

Rita, have they been and sorted those drains out yet. I have great sympathy for all you residents, having to put up with all this.
Does anyone in the residence have a care manager. If they do,could they ring them and put in a complaint, about the way you are all being treated.
Other than that,if nothing is done,go to the papers, they will be happy to write about everyones plight.
Pauline, I had darts last night, and guess what we won again 4-2 in the league game, but lost the pairs 2-1,so it looks like we wont be getting a trophy for the pairs after all. Boo...Hoo.
Good news Liz,about the therapy. Keep going love,it is doing you good, and building up your own confidence.
Hi Shelly, hope things are well in your house. How is Olly these days.

well after having another barney with the estate manger she got worried I am sure when i told her it was going to the top and to the health officer. she asked me to see if they came this afternoon to do the drains as she was off to work she works in the afternoons.
at three oclock they turned up they lifted the drain cover and it was right to the top he asked me after tapping on my window where the other drain was I told him that was full as well.the rodded it and the smell was really bad he said lovely healthy smell I said I see you have lit a ciggie though. I said there is another drain by the back gate and a water drain on the car park . it took them about hour to sort it , he tapped on the window and asked me to tell the others to pull their chains for the water I said I am the only one here the others went out, I asked why must we pull the chains none of the Loos were blocked he was surprsied at that anyway I filled a bucket of water and put some dettol in and flushed it down the loo. it is all done now. acept there is effluance on the lawn that smells.
I have not seen her yet she is still at work.

Rita,I have spoken to my OH,he said that the efflunce on the grass is still a danger, and should be reported to the environmental health. I asked him about it purely because off the job he used to do. And he had lots off occasions where he had to call them out, because off spillages in where they were not supposed to be.
Don't take any chances with your health love.
My thoughts are with your son in law.

Mo, I wouldn't be able to hold my tongue if it was me and the girlfriend wasn't pulling her weight. Does she help in any other way or just play pretty barmaid? Sounds like a sponger to me! You take care, I have cleaned loos at student houses, so can sympathise with you.

Rita, I knew you owned your home but it still isn't right the way you are all being treated. And how come this Estate Manager can work elsewhere too, is she on the fiddle? She should make sure all the effluent is cleaned up for you all, maybe if you all got together and sent a complaint to Anchor they would realise you aren't happy with E.M's work.

Hope things work out ok for your s.i.l. when he does get his chemo. Poor chap must be fed up.

Take care everyone,
love

Hi all, it's lovely and sunny here - cold but sunny.

Rita, Liz's idea about getting everyone together and signing a complaint to Anchor sounds like it might make them sit up and listen. At least they'll know they can't just do what they like and get away with it.

Oh, I've just noticed that none of you are around this morning.... I call 03.43 the middle of the night.

Well done with darts Mo. If you lose your temper and hit the girlfriend - make sure you use something hard.

My friend had an argument with her SIL the other day and she hit him with a 'cushion'! Well, at least he can't have her charged with GBH.

Thanks for the picture Shelly, it looks lovely. You're very talented. Now I know why you don't have much time to be on here.

Hi Girls

I had a lovely Mothers day card arrive this afternoon from my daughter the postman knocked on the door as ithe card was to big to go through the letter box. I had forgotten it was Mothers day coming up soon .. anyway the words in the card made me cry they were so nice, l had money in the card and most of all a lovely photo of three of my Great Grandchildren Meagn, Chalie and Ryan. I felt so happy looking at their smiling face..

I had a contact from some one off Hot Matches I told her we were not blood related but I had done a tree for my cousin so I was able to help her I felt really pleased I could do that she said a lot of people ignore any request from Hot Matches.
The boards dont hold much in the way of topics latley do they I wonder why that is ? there was a time when you could log on and find lots of interesting subject to talk about.

Oh Shelly, I laughed so much at your comments, that I nearly choked.
You have really made my day. Coz it started so badly. I went bog cleaning
and SHE stayed out off the way. I also clean the pub as well mind you.
When I got home,Roly was so pleased with himself. He had done some off the jobs around the house, that he had been promising to do for ages.
He had fixed the lose floor boards in his bedroom, great.
I decided to sit down for a while before going shopping. Then I heard this dripping sound, and when I looked up,there was water coming through the living room ceiling.
On checking,Roly discovered that in screwing the floor boards down,he had screwed through the central heating pipe in his bedroom.
I got our son out to have a look, and he had to change the piece off pipe.
But mr clever had not only screwed through the pipe once,he had gone completely through in one place, and pierced it further along on one side, so we had two leaks.
Well it is all fixed now,but when it dries out we have got to paint the ceiling and walls in the living room.
Thank god I heard the drip when I did,or we could have had a real disaster on our hands.
So now you know why you cheered me up Shelly.
Rita, hows the smell now. Did anybody come and clear the effluent from the grass.
I love receiving mothers day cards. And like you,the words mean a lot dont they. I dont need presents, just a card keeps me happy.
Hi Pauline, hows your day been. Not as hectic as mine I bet.lol
