Hello all. Rita,I watchef dominic this morning. I could not believe the amount off Viagra they recovered. Some off the colouring for the tablets came from paint, and were mixed in cement mixers. All the tablets you could buy from the internet,ie Lipitor, for cholesterol and heart disease, were sent out with a free viagra tablet. Horendous when you think how peoples lives were put at risk. So Maz is still in OZ,lazing in the sun,(or should I say being fried Maz) Yes we are missing you mate. I hope the nails dont melt in the heat. Poor you Liz. Nothing seems to be going right at the moment does it. And you could have done with that Corfu break. I think I would have a migraine on the wedding day if I were you. It's nice going away Linda, but catching up on everything when we get back takes some doing doesn't it. And the washing always seems to grow when you do it after a holiday. You will miss all the lovely sunshine, now you are back. Still perhaps we may see a few rays before to much longer. She says hopefully. Pauline I am just so grateful that my son was able to help us. It's lucky that in his line off work,he does do work on water pipes. Even though they are normally kitchen water pipes. What brilliant news about your grandaughter Rita. My grandaughters college has just been closed down. But they have built a super dooper new one, nearer to where we live. So she does not have so far to go. Hi Shelly,I know you will be looking in.

I will push for a holiday during the year but had wanted to go in June before the children were on school hols and with the longest days etc, also before it got too hot as o.h. can't cope with really hot weather. It was ok last Sept/Oct but the sun was gone by 5ish and daylight gone by 8pm or earlier.
I have a cunning plan, normally when we go anywhere I keep an eye on o.h. and his alcohol comsumption cos I know how stupid he can behave when he gets pie eyed. His son knows his problems but doesn't discourage him from having just one more etc so as we will be at their house and hopefully the weather will be good enough for the barbeque, I will try and steer clear of o.h. as much as possible and let him drink himself silly, which he will do because he will be nervous of meeting new people (eg future d.i.l's parents and stepmother etc) I will let him show himself up and let the girl see what she is marrying into, I don't think he has had time to drink that much when staying with them so she just thinks he is funny, but will see what happens, same on the wedding day. We will probably go by train for the get together and will be staying at an hotel, possibly the wedding venue for the night before and night after the wedding, so he will be in the bar a lot I expect, as well as drinking at the reception. He disregards advice about his many tablets etc and alcohol so his father, sisters, or his sons can look after him if he is ill, the new d.i.l. from America can see it all too If I do say anything about stopping drinking, he will probably turn on me and become abusive if I do it indiscreetly so they can watch his temper explode lol I shall just enjoy myself as much as possible when in the company of a family I don't particularly like or respect.
Evil, aren't I?

Hi Marilyn, will you please tell me it is much cooler than reality, I am so envious, and fed up with cold weather and grey skies. Glad I make you laugh, I am only speaking the truth, I usually try to protect him and others from his silly antics by accidentally spilling his drink or talking him out of getting another one, or saying no when he says yes. His family are thick as planks, they know what he is like but still don't deter him, will go and get him another drink when they get a round in. Wish I could show them a picture of the time he came back from a reunion do, he fell in the door ( heaven knows what the taxi driver thought of him) then sat in the chair, he couldn't even move, just his stomach heaving, I had to stick a bucket under his chin cos he couldn't move except just sit there and vomit! I gave him the bucket and a tissue and left him to it, went to bed and left him to choke or whatever, not my responsibility if a grown man can't be more sensible.
Shelly, thanks for pm.

Hi Girls
I am up and it is quiet cold so I am envying Marilyn.out in the sunshine and having nothing to do but laying around.
Liz I would not be like you I would let him get on with it , his family seem to know what he is like and stop worrying yourself over him. just go and have a good time see how he makes a fool of his-self they will know then what you have put up with. But they should know now anyway.
Mo, Pauline, Yvonne, Lady, Sue,Linda and Shelly and those I have forgotten the names have a good day. not looking good here so I hope you have better weather.
Love Rita

Hi everybody - bet there's none of you about now, you all come on after I've gone.
Liz, it sounds like you're living with my ex-husband. His family all thought he was a good laugh - until I left him!! Once they got lumbered with him they soon changed their minds. At one of their family weddings, his sister dragged him outside - punched him in the face and knocked him out cold. I felt smug when I heard about that, they don't think he's a good laugh now, they just think he's a drunken embarrassment.
I like the plan you've got for the wedding, it should work well....lol
Rita we haven't got good weather either, it's been raining all morning and still coming down heavy now. I was supposed to get some trees cut down today but don't think they'll turn up to do it in this.
I'll send you Shelly's photos as soon as I get them Rita.
Marilyn could you waft a bit of that heat over to us? It's freezing here. Bet Linda's feeling the cold now after coming home from a hot country.
Mo, you're lucky you've got nets up because if you zoom in on a house, you can see right inside the window. I'm glad I've got my blinds tilted so the camera can't look in. Mind you, they wouldn't see much because my bedroom and the lounge are at the back.
Yvonne, that's not bad, 2 new tyres and the car will last you another year.

Oh that's lovely Rita, you must be over the moon with it. Goes to show that sometimes the Hot Matches are a good thing. I keep hoping that someone will send me some old photos but so far I've had no luck.
The men have just turned up to cut the trees down, hope they fall the right way.......the trees, not the men.
Edit: They all fell in the right direction (thank goodness), but it's raining too heavy for them to cut them up, so they'll come back and do it tomorrow. Haven't paid them yet......so I know they'll come back.
