Pauline thats great you have got them to cut the trees down not many care these days about their work and some would have made the exscue they could not do them because of the rain think of all those logs they will get out of that.
It is raining here now but the sun is trying to come out and the raining is coming down silly isnt it when you think of it.

I have been lucky with the Hot Matches met a lot of relations and their ancestors had some good information from them.so I am well pleased with myself for joining GR. mind you some of the hot matches have been over the top my relations being down south theirs being up north or distant lands.

I spent yesterday searching the Google maps for places I have lived in the past and now I found it quiet amusing. I felt a little home sick when I did the bungalow in Caister Norfolk. I do miss my bunglaow. the guy who brought it had taken all the little bushes and trees out of the big front garden and it looks bare. I wonder what he has done to the back.
I cannot stop looking at the photo I had sent me of my Uncle Walter in uniform I can see some of my male cousins in his likeness.
He looks something like Prince Andrew but not as large.

I have pains in my limbs today think it is due to the damp weather it rained heavy during the night stopped now but not for long by the look of it.

Where does the time go?
Have been to hobbycraft this morning. Spent a fortune .................. Managed to get the candle lights for the tables, rose petals, backing board for the table plans and evening invitation cards to make !!! Cards... stickers, ribbon and hearts, not to cross stitch this time thank goodness.
Have made one for daughter to see and then will spend Monday trying to get them done and into the post.
Hubby's Uncle is 90 today so hope to see him this afternoon if he can get away from work early(hubby that is !!!)

Ah bless you Rita. Our old homes mean so much to us all,after all we have lots off good and bad memories off living there.
I tried to find my grandparents house,but the whole street has been demolished,and a new estate had been erected on the site. I was so dissapointed,not to have found it as it was.
I hope you are feeling a bit better now,with your achey limbs. This dampness does not help at all.
Shelly my subs are due on the 24th off this month as well.

Pauline,how do I get to view the back gardens on google. I have tried to get to take a look,but I am doing something wrong as I can't get around to the backs off the houses.

Just eaten dinner of Plaice and salad, yummy.

We did get over to the birthday boy, he looked good. Bright as a button and only has problems with his knees so can't walk too far. He uses a zimmer frame indoors and has a stair lift too. He liked his gift of whiskey chosen by hubby.

We had a couple of drinks a piece of birthday cake and lots of chatting. Hubby saw lots of cousins, some we've not seen for years.

Oh well must finish this baby cardigan if I can.

Morning all the sun is shinning. I hope it stays that way for today so people can visit their parents and mothers can enjoy their special day/

I have had trouble with my foot I feel sure it is the gout but I take tablets but it is very painful using my walking stick to get around the flat.then to crown it all as the saying goes I started having nose bleeds at 6 this morning they seems to be easing now fingers crossed.

my son is collecting me to take me back to his house for a mothers day dinner.I told him phone first incase I am not able to go.

My son in law had his first chemo on Friday and has been very poorly since he is unabe to eat though sickness he has 6 months of this before they operate and 6 months afterwards.

Hope I have not dampened your day by telling you this.but I had to tell someone as it has upset me so much.

Rita, I hope your gout doesn't stop you from going to your son's for dinner today.

I know how you feel about your son-in-law, my sister is in the same situation. She had 6 months of chemo last year and a major operation, then chemo again and more operations. After all she went through she was devastated when the cancer came straight back and she had to start chemo again at the end of last year. She's still having it now, she had the last one on Wednesday. Makes you feel so bad (and useless) when you can't do anything to help.
