Morning Mandy and all,
Grey sky here but its dry.
Mandy that dos'nt sound good with your foot. I have never had anything go black with cramp. I should get it checked out while your at the nure if I were you.
Nothing planned for today so shall take the day as it comes. I am sure oh will find me something to do and there's always the chickens to clean out. The thing is I can't get the woodshavings out and fluff them up if he is in the garage painting or outside painting mower bits.

I won't say GOOD MORNING, as it is anything but. You are up and about early Mandy, Did he kick you out of bed. ??? lol lol
It's absolutely drenched everywhere here. Even the newly laid pavements have puddles forming on them. It's so FOGGY as well. I can't see the bungalows at the bottom of the garden. So nothing happening here today.
I haven't received anything with your email Jane, I couldn't reply anyway as the plane is still missing.
I took a long time to settle in bed last night. THEN I dropped off, only to be disturbed by Ros at 12.30 am when she came to bed. I laid for another hour and got up. I read my book till 4.00 am. then managed to sleep until 7.30. So I feel like a "dead man walking" now. I think I will get a few zzzz in later.
If you have our weather, be sure to take your brolly if you go out.
See you all layout xxx

Morning all
Damp here today but not raining at the moment. I've made a few phone calls this morning to sort out the roof, gate and fence. The roofer is coming tomorrow morning, hope that's not going to cost us to much, pity I can't prove it was him that caused the leak, but if I say anything he might just cause more leaks when he's up there. We have roofers over the road so if there is anymore leaks after tomorrow then we'll ask them to take a look as we won't want the original roofer back again. He did stop the leaks in the front and side so you never know he might just fix the back properly too.
As for the gate and fence, I've just had another quote and the fella said he couldn't do the fence as he'd have to do it all by hand which would put his labour costs up, so I never got a quote for that and the quote for the gate was £650 using pine wood, which I think it a bit to soft for outdoors, so we won't be going with him. OH noticed there was a team of joiners building a large fence and gate in the street at the bottom of us, so he went and got the bosses number, I've rang him and he is coming around either later today or tomorrow to do us a quote. So hopefully we'll find someone who can sort out the gate and fence for us asap and not charge us the earth to do it.
The fella who rang me with the £650 quote said it would cost £320 to put the kitchen doors on, so we're going to do that ourselves as we think that is a silly price. I don't know where these people get their prices from as there is a massive difference between £375 and £650 for the same job. I guess we'll just have to wait for the original builder to come and do it if the next quote is to high.
I've been having more problems with my family too. My cousin is getting married and we haven't been invited, apparently when I spoke to my mum this morning she said she could only take one of her daughters and it looks like she chose my sister. Sandra thinks no one loves us anymore and we don't know why. I also found out that Michelle came to visit mum last Sunday and also visited OH's mum but no one told us, so Sandra is upset over that too. It upsets me to see Sandra so sad, I wish there was something I could do to make it better for her. I must admit it's getting me down too. Anyway moan over, sorry I just needed to get it off my chest, I hope you don't all mind?
I loved the card Jane, it's very pretty, Hannah and Gareth are going to love it. Nice verse too :-) Sorry for mis-reading the dogs name, how is he at the moment? I hope he's not in to much pain. Did you get an appointment with the doctor, it sounds like you're in a lot of pain so need to see him as soon as possible, you can't carry on like this can you?
Hope you manage to sort the chickens out today Mel. Although it does sound like you have damp weather like me. Hope the rain stays away if you do tackle them. You sounded very busy yesterday.
I don't blame you for having a few zzzz Frank, it sounds like you had another bad night if you feel like a dead man walking. Hopefully you'll feel better after a little nap.
Sorry to hear about your foot Mandy, it does sound like a burst blood vessel or something similar. Have you seen the doctor about it, it sounds pretty bad?
Going to get a cuppa now, I've only had one so far today and now I'm thirsty again.

Sorry to tell you all that we now have sunshine again. No rain in the night and the chicken run is drying out slowly.
Oh is cleaning my pond out. I have 5 fish left in there plus I have seen three baby ones this morning but not the biggest one I have seen in there. He is using the pond vac so I hope the babies keep away from it.
I have made a huge pot of homemade soup for lunch but I could only find white rolls in the freezer. I am sure I had some nice brown ones in there. Perhaps its time to have a good clear out in the freezer to see just what I have got.
Gill you need tanalised timber for the gate and fence as that last a long time. Oh will only use that in our garden.

Morning All Really thick fog here again today with that fine drizzle that had made my hair go frizzy :-S I got an appointment withthe GP this morning and I have to up the dose of these new tablets and he has said that he will arrange for me to have an MRI because of the nerve involvement. The pins and needles that go down the side of my calf and under my foot he says is the bit in my back called S1 ,the really bottom part in the Sacrum.
Mandy it sounds very much like you have had a burst blood vessel in your foot. I would tend to just get it checked out if I were you. I bet you got a shock to see it looking so black :-0 :-0
I am really sorry that Sandra is so upset Gill.It must be awful for her but you too knowing Michelle has been to visit everyone else and not to be invited to your Cousins Wedding either ! What on earth is wrong with them to be so mean :-S :-S
FRank, I think this weather is a good reason to have a few extra ZZZZZs to catch up on your lost sleep. Its not as though you will be out in the garden. I was up cleaning up cat sick at 3.15 :-|. I heard that noise that cats make just before they are about to throw up. Just like last time it was at the bottom of the stairs (so no carpet :-D) It was out with the disposable gloves ,kitchen roll ,plastic bag and then big floor wipes. I was feeling pretty sick too after that lol . Chris and James had no idea I was up and cleaning !!! I had all the lights on too. So the girls are still waiting for their nice new shavings then Mel :-D. Bet they cant wait now LOL
Gill, Bentley (the dog) is ok, but he had Rachel up 2 nights running with his whimpering and not being able to lie down and be comfortable. So she was exhausted bless her. I think again like me her OH probably slept right through :-S
I think it is time for a spot of lunch now.I missed going for Brunch with my friend .I rang her early this morning to cancel. Maybe we can arrange a day for next week. She doesnt get to eat out much as her Husband had an operation for Oesophageal Cancer and sometimes chokes a bit when eating,so he is not too keen on eating out in public.

Good afternoon all
We also had a foggy morning which didn't look good for the motorways we are in short distance of three M25, M3 & M4.
Sainsbury delivery went well with everything I had ordered so we won't need anything now until next week.
Hope the extra painkillers give you more relief Jane will you have long to wait for the MRI scan? Not nice having to clear up cat's sick in the early hours. Is it possible that Bentley has a blocked Anal gland, I know this can cause a lot of pain in dogs
Gill sorry to hear that Sandra is so upset and you too of course that was naughty of Michelle not popping into to say hello knowing how Sandra would feel about it all.
Mandy that must have been disturbing waking up to a black foot maybe you need to get it checked out as Jane suggested

Well at least it's stopped raining. But turning cooler. I just went out to the bins, and felt quite chilly.
Haven't/Didn't get forty winks, got very close to it while reading my book but fort it off.
Roa went out o get her nails down for 2.30 this afternoon, Gaws only knows where she has got tp. I bet she's in B & Q as it's 10% off for OAPs today, and she wants some new handles for the draws. MORE EXPENSE !!!
She picked up some beautiful PORK CHOPS yesterday. I haven't seen any as thick and meaty as these for ages. I have covered them in a stuffing mix, and have got Roasties, Parsnips, Carrots, Cabbage and brussels.
Gill, I would be BLOODY MINDED and turn up at the weeding. There is nothing anyone can do to stop you going in the church. It might shame them into inviting you to the reception, if not they will certainly have been put in a very embarrassing situation.. You can then take Sandra back home feeling COCK-A -HOOT. I know that is something I would do.
That is one hell of a price to do your fence and gate. Please shop around, there are men out there crying out for work.
So your fish have a nice clean home then Mel, Lets hope the babies didn't get sucked up the hoover lol lol. That reminded me of the Frankie Howard song, about Thee little fishes that swam over the dam.
Mandy it certainly sounds like you have either bust a blood vessel, or banged you for very badly for it o turn black like that. Get to the Doctors YOUNG LADY. Post hast. xx
Poor old you Jane, not bad enough to have all this pain and discomfort, Thomas has you clearing up after him in the middle of the night. WHAT had he been EATING (Rabbit or Mice) ?? little Bu@@er. !!!
Anne, When I was on the road many years ago doing 60,000 miles a year. I could put up with most things, BUT FOG was a great big NO NO. !!! I remember back in 1965. I had driven with my then wife and two Children, up from Essex. I got to Junction 14 of the M 1 in thick fog. I followed the car in front for miles. Then he stopped. I got out and had a word with him, we were in the middle of no where, and he said "I AM HOME" you could just see this farm house in the fog. So I had to retract my steps to find my own way HOME. The times I have smiled over that, is so many lol lol.
I have put the oven on to warm up before I do the chops and roasts. The Spuds are par boiled and ready to go in.
Still no ROS. !!!

That's not very nice of Michelle to not call in to see you and Sandra ,the poor girl must be upset and it must be hard for her to understand why her sister is being like this bless her .
Oh what's Thomas been eating now :-0 but at least he didn't do it on the carpet you don't want to be scrubbing carpets in the early morning .
Saw the nurse and my blood pressure was ok ,she weighed me and i had lost two stone since i was last weighed two years ago so that pleased her ,my Cholesterol was up on last time so Statins were mentioned but left to see how it goes . After i had got out of the doctors i thought of my foot ,it went completely out of my head while in there so i'll just keep an eye on it ,the bruising has stated to fade a little now .
Any sign of the plumber Jane ?

LOL Frank. Fancy following that car in the Fog like that .How long did ittake you to find the way back to your own home? I can just see you turning up to a wedding or something you felt you should be invited to LOLOL . Not a good idea!!.
Anne, Bentley was unsettled and whimpering in the night because of his leg being all strapped up after his tumble down the stairs. I think his Anal Glands are fine :-D :-D. I know what you mean though .I used to have ot take Chester very often to have his seen to.
Hope all the fish are still safe in the pond Mel. Have you done a recount since OH has been in there with the vac ?? :-D
I still have not heard anything from the PLUMBER :-S :-S :-S

I would love to just turn up at the Church Frank but unfortunately we don't know when or where the wedding is, so that's not possible. All that I know is it's in June sometime, but no date, I did ask my mum but apparently she couldn't remember, which I thought was nonsense. I really don't know why we're not invited. Everything seemed to go pear shaped at the funeral of my uncle that we couldn't attend as OH was ill, which my mum knew about. I asked her to let my aunty know the situation but she must of said something else as ever since then no one has spoken to us. Even mum has stopped coming around as much as she did. I've only seen her twice this year and one of those times was to tell me some bad news, or should I say gossip. I'm getting quite depressed about the situation and have had a cry today about it. It also looks like Sandra is on the verge of crying too. To me it feels like my whole family has died.....the feeling you get with grief.
I'm helping OH do the kitchen doors so I'll have to go, be back later.

Mandy , fancy forgetting to mention your foot ! . Chris says to keep an eye on it and to go and get it looked at if the black bruising doesn't go.Make sure too that your foot is warm .(the same as the other one) . I didn't inspect what Thomas brought up Mandy as I was trying not be sick myself. But a quick glance it seemed to be cat food.
Mel I can't believe you cut off 6 inches of hair from OH !!!!!!! That is long. Did he have to tie it back? or wear a hat to keep it out of his eyes when working? Is it straight or curly? So you still haven't had yours done. How many years is it now ?
Oh Oh . Chris has just called through from the study to say a black cat has just run across our driveway. New kid on the block ? I hope not.He said it definitely wasn't Thomas. I can't be doing with any cat fights around here. :-S My boy has been the only cat along this road since we had him.

It's handy having a doctor and nurse on this thread isn't it Mandy thanks to Chris and Jane. I'm sure they'll give you some good advice between them. Good to hear it's fading and the foot is as warm as the other one.
So you have a new black cat on the block Jane? We are thinking of getting a new cat, we really miss our cats and I know Sandra would love it. I'm sure that would cheer her up and I must admit it would make me feel a lot happier too. I'm sure there wouldn't be any cat fights between Thomas and the new cat, you never know they may even end up friends, especially if it's a female cat lol ;-) ;-) ;-)

OH's brother has taken a turn for the worse and is now in a hospice. OH is going to ring his mum tomorrow to find out more. We got an email off Michelle's boyfriend as apparently OH's mum couldn't get in touch with us. We think she is ringing the wrong number. We are going to see OH's brother tomorrow and take it from there so I might not be on here for a while.

O Gill sorry to hear oh's brother has taken a turn for the worse. He is in the best place if he's in a hospice as they can care for all his needs.
A new cat on the block sounds like Thomas may have a friend to go hunting with. I do hope they don't fight. Yess oh's hair was very long. I don't think I have cut it since last year. Every time I mentioned it he said no so I just wait till he can't stand it anymore.
Oh is still fighting with the pond. He has to do it in stages and filling the pond back up takes a while. If you suck some out you have to put it back and he dos'nt like to recycle it back into the pond cos you can't see where all the litter is if you do that. He has just been talking about repotting all the hostas and splitting them up. This means it go up and get some new compost Mel.
Mandy I am pleased the foot seems to be getting lighter now. Still keep an eye on it though and do as aunty Jane and uncle Chris says. Have you knitted anymore of the Elf?

Just knocked the mouse on the floor nd lost a very long posting.
Good morning to you all,
Just had SIL Fran on the phone regarding Steve's funeral. She tells me that before he was cold in the mortuary. His two daughters, turned up at her house and went riffling through his bedroom, taking over £2,600.00 from his draw. They also took his car from outside Fran's house. What we all can't understand that they (him and his wife) separated over ELEVEN years ago. But never divorced, or changed his address. So everything went to her. From wha's been said SHE robbed him blind, and now the two daughters are doing the same. I have told her to BAN THEM from the house. If they turn nasty, call the police.
I see you remembered that little song Jane. Old Frankie Howard was so good, even my DAD liked him, and that's saying something. So a second "THOMAS" on the block. Stand by for fireworks if they are both TOMS. !!!
Not good news on the BIL front Gill. The only saving grace is, he is in the best place to get 24 hours attention, and keep him comfortable.
SIX INCH long hair :-| :-| :-| How on earth did he live with it.?? I have to get mine cut when it starts itching my ears. What did you do with the hair, stuff a pillow. lol lol.
We have "BIGGLES" coming this afternoon for the weekend. Sarah (the walker) will take him for his long daily walk, and Carol down the road said she will take him when she walks "TED" her little sheltie. So he won't be any trouble for us.
DON'T FALL OVER. !!! I am going to get showered and shaved, get dressed and GO FOR A WALK. It's dry here, with no wind. So I should be alright. Roa is continuing to paint the doors this morning, before showering and washing her hair.
Hope your foot is still showing signs of getting better Mandy. Just be careful what you do, and don't aggravate it, by doing anything SILLY. <3 <3
I have just noticed, the BIG EASTER EGG Ros bought for herself, is still sitting o the table. UNTOUCHED.
I had a letter from HMRC this morning to tell me I won't have to fill out anymore self assessment tax returns. They will jus tell me ha I owe each year, if anything. So that's another Job out of the way.
See you later. xxx

Morning all,
Sorry to hear the news about your BIL Gill as Mel said he's now in the best place and they will keep him comfortable and ease any pain <3
Mel i have finished knitting all the bits for one ,i got held up as i had to get a ball of wool for the head and hands so i did start another while i was waiting to go and get the wool, i don't think i said when you asked what it was knitted in but it's double knit on size eleven needles so it comes out quite a close knit . The body should have a muslin bag filled with Poly Granules ,it's to make the elf heavy to sit but I'm not going to use them just incase the children split it open and they spill every where.
Dull morning here again ,just did a bit of ironing and now having a coffee.
