We've had slight rain in the air and its more cloudy now.
Oh was sorting out the filter on my pond this morning before our big breakfast and its in bits now. He has had to stick a bit together as it had broken.
After a little sit down I am going to wash up and then I may do a bit of felting.

Afternoon All 5 o'clock already! Chris spent 6 hours blasting the patio .What job. It will never come up really well but it does look a lot cleaner and brighter now. I went to the Garden Centre this morning and bought a Periwinkle which will trail nicely dow the big chimney pot.The pot comes up to my chin but is just very plain and boring to look at at the moment. Ros is a grafter isnt she Frank. Hopefully this second lot of wallpaper will just be prefect. It does sound nice.
So another haircut done. First Mel's and now Liz's OH. Chris wouldnt let me anywhere near his !. I think my Sister does Larry's .Not that there is a lot to cut. Chris had his cut on Thursday at the Barbers. Its shorter than normal but looks fine. He has his eyebrows done too.Not his choice but they get done anyway LOL
Gill, I hope tomorrow isnt too upsetting for OH when he goes to see his Brother. You will know when you get there if you want to see him too.Even if you dont you will be there for OH.I have never regretted seeing Mum and Dad.LIke I said I just cant do it. We are all different and I know it brings comfort for many people to see their loved ones looking peaceful.
I have had the slow cooker on since 10.30 so the meat should be lovely and tender.I am glad i decided to use that cooker today as I have been busy doing other stuff and dont think I would fancy starting cooking now.
James has just got home. He said he and Jess had a nice meal with H&G at KIngs Cross last night. I think he took Jess to Ikea yesterday morning as she needed a desk. He is away next weekend again as he and Jess will be meeting up with H&G and cousin Michel(Janices's son) on Sunday. I think Michel and Gareth are going to the wedding of an old school/Rugby friend on Saturday.
I have updates ready for the laptop so I need to do that now.

Good morning to you all,
Overcast sort of morning here, no wind. I haven'y been out so can't tell what it's like.
Jane that's a job I need to get round to doing. The driveway is very dirty from the rain bringing the dirt down, and as for the patio, I wonder if I will get it clean with the first BLAST. I don't want to use that stuff that Mel uses, as I don't want it getting into the flower beds/pots etc.
Jan and Conrad give us a call last night to see that we are both O.K. She will be coming home next Friday.
I see on the BBC NEWS PAGE. That Kate has gone into labour and taken to hospital. Another prince or princess any time soon. !!!!
I made Ros pack up late afternoon, so I could get on with the dinner. She only has two small pieces to hang in the window recess's. Then she will start on the doors under the cooker and ovens.
I am going to get the gardener chap Barry, to come and do the lawns while we are away in June. It will save me having to come home to LONG GRASS.
The Lilac tree is in full bud now, so we will soon have that lovely smell wafting around the patio. The tulip[s have done exceptionally well this year, some while ones have frilly petals. Anyone know what they are called ?? I would like to get more of those.
My hip and back are feeling a little better today, so I will try not to upset it doing anything silly.
No sign of any rain here yet. :-| :-| :-| But that doesn't mean a thing lol lol.
I see our front windows need another clean. They are covered in dust and rain spots. We never seem to get a window cleaner round here anymore.
Time for breakfast then shower and shave. What I will find to do today I don't know.

Morning all,
Another bright day here but no sunshine to speak of but it may be clearing a bit. Just to prove me wrong the sun just popped out!!
I have the dentist this afternoon for a 6 months check up. Its not till 4.30pm but I find it messes all your day up.
I had a nice felting session yesterday afternoon and nearly finished a braclet with oak leaves on it. Will send a pic when its done. I just have to work out whether to put a ribbon to fasten it or a popper. A ribbon would need someone to help you put it on and a popper can't be changed to fit a smaller wrist. I don't have big wrists and don't know what size the average is.
Hope everything goes ok for Gill and family today and I know they are all in our thoughts.

Morning all
Sunny here after a dull start to the day, we're suppose to be having rain this week. I've just spent the last hour and a half watering some of the pots. I decided I didn't want to see my BIL in the end. I felt terrible yesterday and thought I was coming down with something, OH said it was probably stress and today I'm feeling a little better. OH had gone to see his brother before I woke up. I did say I'd go with him but he wanted to go on his own. I hope he's okay, I would of preferred to go with him for support but he insisted on going on his own and I didn't want to upset him. I think he was gong to see if his mum wanted to see her son so they could go together. He should be home soon.
OH's hair needs cutting again but I don't know if I'm brave enough to do it for him, he always goes to the barbers Liz. It sounds like your OH was happy with the hair cut you gave him.
Yes, Mel I've just got the news on and heard about Kate. I wonder what she'll have, now she has one of each. Baby number three will be fifth in line to the thrown, not sure if he or she will get there though, with the age of his dad and having two older siblings. Your bracelet sounds nice, looking forward to seeing a picture when you send it.
So you have a nice clean patio now then Jane? Ours need doing but like you said it takes so long to do I don't think OH will feel up to it right now. We've still got the kitchen to finish as only half of it is done. I'm sure it'll be done soon, we're just doing a bit at a time when we feel up to it at the moment.
Is Ros happy with the new wallpaper Frank? That's a lot of work doing it twice, but if you're not happy with something then it's best to do it again until you are happy as you have to live with it for quite some time. I'm happy with the wallpaper choice in the living room, I to changed my mind a few times but only bought the paper I wanted in the end, so it didn't cost extra.
I've got a bit of a headache so I'll go and get a cuppa and a couple of painkillers. I think I'm just worried about OH, hope he's home soon, so I know he's okay. Sandra's okay and decided she didn't want to see BIL either, so we're together here.

Frank you do the Wet and Forget on a nice dry day so it dries on the stone. YOu could paint the edges and spray the rest on a wind free day. It carries on working all summer so get clean day by day.
Hope oh gets back soon Gill so you don't have to worry anymore about him. If he's with his mum they will have each other to share their grief and see that he is now at peace and nothing can hurt him anymore. Sending love to you all in this sad time. <3
Going to wash my hair now.

It's a BOY 8lb 7 oz. Nice big heathy prince. Next will be the name, I wonder what that will be ???
I had to get up the big steps to paper over the cooker hood and the cupboards. Ros pasted the paper and passed in up to me. My head was touching the ceiling, and I had a long reach over the cooker unit to reach the corner. But it's all done now, and looking good. She has worked so hard, and still has more doors on the units to paint It has just about Bu@@ed me, I can't stop my knees from shaking. ;-) ;-)
That was nice for OH having his Mum go with him to the chapel of rest.
I had better sort out what we are going to eat this evening. I know we have lots of Veg in the fridge, it just what meat to have.

OH ended up going on his own to the funeral home, I felt awful not going with him, but he said he preferred to go on his own. He spent about 20 minutes with him and the owners came in twice to check he was alright. I had to laugh when OH told me he'd put a cigarette in his brother's pocket and someone had put a Mercedes cup in the coffin. BIL loved a cup of tea and a fag and worked for Mercedes. OH said the owners were very young but really nice people.
He called in to see his mum on route and to see if she wanted to go with him, but she declined. He went back to see her afterwards and they ended up talking about when I took some red roses to the funeral of OH's dad and gave everyone one to throw onto the coffin once it was lowered. I'd forgotten all about it, but MIL would like me to do it again for BIL's funeral. She apologised to OH for not saying thank you to me at the time. Obviously I didn't expect any thanks, but it was nice that she remembered.
OH is okay, a little quiet, but not to bad and was glad he was on his own. He said it gave him the chance to spend some time alone with his brother, which he will always treasure and not have to worry about anyone else at that moment in time.

I pleased oh was ok and I like the thought of him putting a ciggy in his pocket. When mum died I had her big teddy put in her coffin with her. She always cuddled it in bed. It was one I bought for her as she fell in love with it in Morrisons one day so I bought it and gave it to her for Christmas one year.

Afternoon All A new little Prince :-D :-D. How lovely. Kate wasn't in labour for very long was she.
Gill, I am so pleased OH is alright after going to see his Brother. He will be able to think of him with his fag and a nice cuppa :-D. Mel I had Mum's teddy in the back of the hearse with the flowers. It is now up in Hannahs room. Mum called it Snowy as it is white.I think I got it for her one year for Mothers Day with flowers.
You did well with the last difficult bit of papering Frank. No wonder your knees were shaking perched up there LOL .I hope you dont suffer tomorrow.
I havent known what to do with myself today. My back has been dreadful. Even sitting doesnt seem to ease it today. So I am afraid I have been a bit of an old misery :-S Got a sore throat too just to make me even more grumpy. I think that might be to do with the High Pollen.
I think it is blooming chilly today. Its that wind. I did put he pot with the Periwinkle plant in the top of the chimney pot this morning but just as I was trying to wedge a couple of bits of slate around the plant pot to make it firm it slipped further down the inside :-S.. I had to get Chris to come and yank it up as I couldnt manage to get a good grip on it and I was worried it was going to slip all the way down to the bottom !!.
I have the task (from Hannah) of looking up Wedding Cheese Towers !!. This is instead of them having a traditional Wedding Cake. It seems to be becoming quite a popular thing these days.
I expect Mel will have just about finished at the Dentist. Hope all went well today Mel :-D. I remember all that awful bother you had a couple of years back. That was not nice at all for you.
I have no idea what is on the box tonight so think I will check out the Radio Times now.

Well thats something new to me Jane A WEDDING CHEESE TOWER. Where do you find those "GOOGLE" and how the devil will they deliver it. ??
"COW FEATURES" as Ros calls her CAMILLA is on at 9.00 pm ITV. We won't be watching that.!!!
As someone said, it's a pity GEORGE has been used, As it would have been nice to have PRINCE GEORGE on ST GEORGE'S DAY. lol lol
Sorry about your back Jane, will phiso help it ? Do you still wear those heat patches. Yes the knees are shaking still when I walk around, and I can feel my back as well.
I have just bought some travel insurance for the holiday. I thought I would print the details to take with us, just in case we needed it. What I didn't know, that there was 28 pages. It's the whole policy.
Just finished dinner which was lovely, almost clean plates from both of us.
I always finish my meal before Ros, so I was able to wash and wipe everything up apart from her plate. I even cleaned down the hob, chopping board and worktop. Brownie points for me then . ;-) ;-) ;-)
Pam and Denis are going away for a few days to Canterbury, to stay with Denis's brothers next door neighbours. They became very friendly during his brothers illness and death. We will keep an eye on Tracy, while they are away.
It turned colder this afternoon, now I am quite warm, perhaps that's because I have eaten and been busy washing up.
Bought a smile to my face Gill. What a lovely thing to do for BIL. lol lol
I doubt I will be back again tonight, so have a pleasant evening whatever you are up to. xxx

5 Posts FRANK!!!
Everything was ok at the dentist and he told me I was keeping them very clean. he poked about a bit and I told him I get twinge sometimes whilst brushing but he said that was because of my receding gums. They had this telly thing on about how they can do your teeth like crowns and straightening and another lady who came in after me was watching it too. Some of the things were enough to put you off I would have thought and the lady agreed too.

Evening all,
It's been a nice dry day so Colin has been painting the front fence ,it had got so bad in places where the shrubs had grown in front ,we had to pull Nannies rose forward so he could get to the fence ,i didn't think it was very thorny but i have a few marks on my arms from the thorns and Colin had blood on his arms .
Glad to hear your OH was ok when saw his brother and left him a ciggie Gill ,just having that time on his own with his brother was nice for him .
You are a poor old thing with your back Jane , upping the tablets doesn't seem to helping then ? That will be a different wedding cake Jane :-D i have heard of them and Pork Pie wedding cakes too .
Glad you got on ok at the dentists Mel you'll be ok for the next six months now , we go next monday for our check ups .
Turned quite chilly here so the fire is lit .
Yes another new baby Prince ,i wonder what his name will be .

I'm not surprised OH put the ciggy in his brother's pocket, it's just his type of thing. At least it put a smile on his face when he told me.
Sorry to hear you're still a bit shaky Frank, at least it's done now. How much more has Ros got to do, she's been very busy lately? Your last post went through quite a few times didn't it?
I've never heard of a cheese tower before Jane, have you found one yet? Sorry to hear you're not well today, hope you feel better soon.
That was good news at the Dentist Mel, although what was on the telly didn't sound very nice even if it would help people.
I can't believe Kate and Will have brought the baby home already, that was quick. Did anyone see that woman pushing a sign in front of the camera about Abortion. I understand her feelings, but there's a time a place isn't there?
