I am just on my way out and it has started to tip it down. But Its going to get worse so I might as well get going quickly now. Looks like we are all in for it today :-S

Horrible wet day here. I don't know when it started, but it looks like we have it for the day.

Terrible night again. In bed by 11.00 up at 2.00 haven't closed my eyes, well I had, but couldn't sleep.I started a new book and read until 3.30. Then slept until Ros disturbed me at 5.30. The I just dozed until I got up at 7.00

Martine has sold the MILs house (that didn't take long) Tomorrow her and Brian will clear the last bits from the house. so she won't be meeting Ros.

I am debating whether to go shopping with Ros today. Not that I will be much good, but it will be company for her. I see in a local booklet that we get through the door every two months that THE TALBOT INN at Paulesbury, just outside Towcester has reopened after a full refurbishment. We use to eat there quite often with Sid and Val. If I go shopping with Ros, we might make our way there for a late lunch. The will save me cooking tonight, and give us a chance to try it.

Yes it's about time they named the new baby. Keeping us waiting like this. WHO of they think they are. lol lol

I can't see Trump being made very WELCOME by the public at large. I m surprised he hasen't been shot before now. ;-) ;-) ;-) HORRIBLE MAN !!!

It seems like we all have the same weather today as its tipping it down here and its all dull and dreary with it. There are no breaks in the clouds to give you any hope of whats to come later on.

Well another Friday has come around very quickly again and I keep saying it but I don't know where the week has gone. I know I have been out quite a bit this week to shopping and the doctors and don't seem to have had any time to myself.

Sorry to hear you had another bad night Frank and there's me getting up for the loo at ten to five and then sleeping till 10.30am.

I must get on as I hav a lot to do today on the ironing front.

Morning all

Wet Wet Wet here today, we were hoping to take Sandra to Chester Zoo for her birthday tomorrow but knowing what the zoo is like it's be full of large puddles everywhere so we've said well take her when it's dryer and hopefully a bit warmer then there is more chance of the animals being out for her to see. Last time we went it rained and although we had a nice time we're sure it would of been better for her had the weather been dry.

OH and I spent all day yesterday cracking on with the kitchen, we stopped just after 10pm as neither of us had any energy left so all there is do to now are the four drawer fronts, which will probably be done sometime next week now.

He's just nipping to the shop for me to buy Sandra's birthday cake and few other bits and bobs for tomorrow. Mum called around today so it's the first chance he's had.

I see the new Prince has finally been named, I missed the news Liz, so thanks for telling us.

Did you go shopping with Ros in the end Frank? It'll be nice to eat out and like you said it saves you cooking later. Sorry to hear you had another bad night.

Hope you don't get to wet when you're out Jane.

Going to get some lunch now and watch a few programmes I recorded last night with Sandra.

It stoped raining here this morning. Em rang me to say could I deliver the eggs today instead of tomorrow so I did that before lunch. Its turned really quite cold here this afternoon and it is still cloudy and there a bit of a wind.

I think the best thing I can do is some of that ironing pile as that should warm me up a bit.

Last night Lasagne went down a treat and I shall be doing it again and not buying a ready made one from the shop. At least you know what gone in it when you make it yourself.

Now what do I get for tonights dinner?????

I bet Sandra is well worked up about tomorrow. Has she had any cards yet? and are you keeping them for her for tomorrow?

O I meant to say at least two of the names I mentioned were picked for the new prince.

I picked one, Arthur! I think Louis is a great name, Prince Louis has nice ring to it!
Collecting our car on Wednesday! We've got a really good deal/part exchange on a three year old Fiat. We're really chuffed as it will cost a lot less to run than the Freelander and is considerably newer!! This weekend we will be clearing out the Freelander, and giving it a bit of a clean ready for the off!!
Bit brighter here now, but flipping cold!!

Its been really cold here too and after lunch I turned the heating on for a while whilst I did the ironing.

We have just had a COT and cake.

Well it is still raoning here although it has eased off a lot now. Poor old Thomas keeps going to the back door and sitting just inside looking out. He is there again now . I hopehe does get out at least for a bit as he washing a bit crazy in here just now and was literally trying to climb one of the long curtains :-| :-|. I bet he is dying for a wee.
But he does have a nice clean litter tray . It smells a bit of dettol now.I love that smell.

How disappointing the weather is so awful and having to cancel the trip to the Zoo tomorrow for Sandras birthday. But you do want the animals to be out and about otherwise it would be a real waste of time. Did the same thing happen before Gill for one of her birthdays? What kind of cake is it this year? The Flake one?

So a rotten night for you Frank :-S. I bet your eyeballs feel tired and gritty.
Did you go with Ros today and have your lunch at the newly refurbished Pub?

Have you decided what to have tonight Mel? I bought a meal from M&S this morning for Chris and Me. It is Garlic Chicken with Herb Crust Lattice,and a big bag of ready veg. James has a Beef in Red Wine Casserole which can go in the microwave when he gets in . Nice and quick so he can get away for the journey again down to Jess.

That will be nice to get your new car on Wednesday Liz. Is it far for you to go to collect it? Smaller and cheaper to run sounds ideal :-D

I have just had a look at the back door and Thomas has gone :-D I doubt it will be for too long. I don't think we have had a day when it has rained ALL DAY like this for a long time.

Hannah has had her first day at a senior school today for Children who are too disruptive to be in a main stream school. I think she was a little apprehensive , although she has worked with murderers,Drug Addicts and in a Psychiatric Hospital so has a fair amount of experience. Teenagers are a different kettle of fish(especially with issues) sometimes LOL . I did say this morning to make sure she had Pepper Spray and a Taser :-D :-D I am sure she will have been fine.Probably has a banging headache now.

I keep meaning to ask Anne how Richards friend John is doing with his newly fitted defibrillator ? Have you managed to get Ruby out today in this rain?

Yes it's local Jane, about six miles away so any problems its easy to sort out
Goodness, I do think Hannah is brave! Some of these young people can be quite daunting!! I hope she had a good day!

I'm watching the F1 practise runs now Mel, I had to record them as mum was here and when she left we started watching other programmes I recorded last night as we were busy with the kitchen so couldn't watch them then. Pleased to hear the rain has stopped by you, it's still pouring with rain here and even is the weather is nice for Sandra tomorrow it'll still be to wet to take her to Chester Zoo.

Yes, it rained when we took her a few years ago Jane so we know how bad the ground is, it's like trying to walk through lakes and most of what she wants to see is outside, so it's better we wait until the weather is better for her then she will enjoy it more. We've decided to take her one day in a week rather than the weekend as it might be to packed with children and families which might also make it difficult for her to see the animals. We've bought her a large chocolate cake, not a flake one this year that way it'll last a bit longer so she can enjoy it over a few days. Of course OH and I will enjoy it too ;-)

So it's new car day on Wednesday Liz, hope the weather is drier for you. I had to smile the other day, OH came in and said our old car belongs to someone at the end of our road now. We part exchanged it a few miles away for the one we have now. Funny how things work isn't it?

I thought Michelle might of sent Sandra a card but nothing has arrived, she hasn't had one off her friend either. It looks like there are a lot of cards off you all, which I have put away for tomorrow. That reminds me I need to write ours out for her and wrap up her birthday present. I'll do it later, when she goes in the other room to watch her Hollyoaks.

Today has been a typical April day Sunshine & Showers and not very warm either.

I would think Prince Philip was pleased that the name Louis is the new Princes first name as his Uncle was Louis Mountbatten.

John is much better Jane and will be returning to work soon his job isn't strenuous as he is an accountant with Oxford County Council. Ruby had a check up with the vet nurse on Wednesday she passed with flying colours she still weighs 6.5 kilos.Her teeth are good and I got Brownie points for not giving her any baths yet as this can destroy the natural oils it must be different with long coated dogs, Hope Hannah enjoyed her day and didn't find it all stressful

When I was putting on a fitted under sheet to my bed I managed to pull a muscle in my back now it's quite painful.

I had a message from Jerry on Ancestry he had taken a photo of a name carved in a wall it was something my great uncle had written his name was Oliver Twist in Lenham Kent, he thought it was someone being funny until he saw my family tree. He sent me a photo of his handy work.I remember him quite well as he lived into his 90's, in spite of being a very heavy smoker. He was married to my maternal grandma's sister. My Mum's name was Ivy Twist and she had an older brother also named Oliver.

A good choice for your car Liz our neighbours across the road always have Fiats,
Peter works for a Fiat garage so he and his wife Marian both have them and one of their sons as well

I'm pleased that Sandra has a lot of cards from us, maybe Michelle's will come tomorrow,

We had a Fiat years ago Anne as my parents bought a new one about 18 months before they died which I inherited. We had it for years and were very pleased with it, so it is a make we are familiar with and know we like!
We're in bed as its such a horrible cold evening and we're both tired!

Morning all,

It rained here last night but this morning its not too bad out there with some patches of the blue stuff among the grey and white clouds. Not a lot!

I don't have to go to Em's this morn ing as I did the egg run yesterday and it feels strange that I only have the shop to do for the paper.

I have just broken a nail and need to get the scissors and cut the rest off.

Not a nice morning again here.It is that wet suff :-S
I just have to go and get some bread this morning so that wont take me long,then I think the rest of the day will be having another rummage through my wardrobes and drawers to see what else I can get rid of. Chris says he is going to Spring Clean his Study !

What a GREAT DAY It is too. Still raining here. As for yesterday, I got soaked walking from the car to Tesco. (I should have stayed at home) We hen did the rounds around Supermarkets trying to get some "JERSEY ROYALS" They seem to be late this year. Finally got some in Sainsbury's. We stayed local for something to eat, and went to our usual one. We got home about 4.00 pm

Ros is totally knocked out with all the decoration and gardening. I have asked her to promise me she won't do anything this weekend. I expect it will be like water off a DUCKS BACK ;-) ;-) ;-)

Some years ago I had surgery on my left thumb through Arthritis. I think my right thumb needs doing now. :-P :-P I hurts continuously, I have cream that I put on three times a day, but still it hurts. My tight hip is also playing up. So if this is down to old age, they can keep it lol lol

I see that poor little boy has passed away during the night. GOD BLESS HIM. He has been through so much in his very short life. <3 <3 <3 <3

Jane, Hannah has a lot of guts to take on some of these people she has to TEACH/HELP.Anne, I am pleased your son's friend is improving. Mel, I bet OH isn't out on the mower today. lol lol. Where's Mandy I hope her sister in law is well, and settling in. Gill, how much more have you got to do in the kitchen. WHO have I forgotten ???

Shower and shave time. Not sure if I will go to watch Liverpool at lunchtime. Will have to see.
