Have cleared out the car and sorted the paperwork! For once it was all up together which has to be a first!! We tidied out some other folders too so our filing cabinet is looking a lot less crowded as we do tend to hoard things going back to heaven knows when. No rain here but it is COLD!! This afternoon I may try and do some gardening if the weather allows!! Gill, I hope the e card I sent Sandra has arrived!!

Back from Tesco . I got a bit more than bread !! My favourite Lloyd Grossman pouches of sauce were 2 for £3 instead of £2.49 each so I got a few of them. They dont go off :-D
Oh it is a blessing the little boy has passed away. Terribly sad for his parents :-(. But there was never going to be a happy ending for this family.
I think Ros needs to have a good rest now Frank after all that hard work. But like you said I bet she will find something to be getting on with LOL . I hope you arent planning on going anywhere near the A45 Northampton rd. It is closed both ways (the dual carriageway) Something dreadful must have happened there this morning.
Lets have a peek at the elf Mel :-D
Hannah got through yesterday. She said there was lots of energy and hormones flying around LOLOL I think the rain looks like it might have stopped here at the moment. But the towels I have just washed wont be going out on the line.Tumble dryer it is. With all this rain the grass and the weeds have really grown, and my Mint must have grown about 6 inches in just a couple of days !!!!

Afternoon all
Just got back from taking Sandra shopping she wanted to spend her birthday money. The weather was lovely and sunny so we didn't get wet, but now it's clouded over and looks like rain. She bought herself some more books and managed to find one that was on her list, so she's pleased with that.
She said to say thank you to you all for the lovely cards and presents. Mel she is wearing the necklace you sent her. She loves her cards, they are all up and look very colourful. She loved the e-card you sent her Liz.
I haven't read the posts yet so hope everyone is okay. Going to watch the qualifying I recorded now then I'll make the pizza for Sandra and we'll all have a nice piece of her chocolate birthday cake. We bought her a CD so she'll enjoy listening to that now we're home, she's going to watch a programme she recorded for herself first.

Afternoon all,
I have just returned from the pub. The sunshine in Liverpool was unbelievable, If I didn't know better the shadows looked like they were from the floodlights. It's still spiting and spotting of rain here.
Ros wen to pick up her bracelet that was in the repairers, He has made a good job the repair. She then went to get some fish food. It was on offer BOGOF. There is enough to feed every fish in the local Canal lol lol, If the fish eat all that she has bought, they will be as big as a SHARK.
Mandy, does Colin no longer need a van for his work. ?? Is he winding down a bit now ??
I am due a couple of hours of ZZZZ. Didn't sleep as well as I hoped last night. Now after a couple of pints I feel sleepy
I think it will be an Indian Takeaway tonight. Just fancy one,
I hope Hannah can cope with the latest challenge Jne. With all hertriningI m sure she will.
So Sandra is spending her Birthday money, hope she has bought wha she wants. !!

Gill I meant to tell you the popper on the little purse is very tight and you have to get your finger nail in it to undo it!!!! I see she must have managed to get it open as she is wearing the necklace so she must like it. It was sent with love............so was an apt shape. Did she like the purse I made? <3
I have changed my mind about this braclet I am making and now it is going to be a hair slide as I thought the felt I have made it on is quite thin and won't take one of those poppers.

It sounds like Ros needs a rest, she's been so busy lately and needs to have some time off Frank, but like you said she probably won't listen. Not that I can talk I can't sit down for more than five minutes can I? lol. We have four draw fronts to do Frank but we're not doing it until after the funeral on Tuesday. We worked hard the other day but it got to late to use the drill and we need to drill some holes for the door knobs to go onto the draw fronts which is why we didn't carry on, plus we were tired. It'll be done soon. It looks like we might have to tackle the gate and fences ourselves as the fella never got back to us and the other quotes were far to high, but that's something to think about when the weather improves.
Can I see the Elf too please Mandy? Hope Colin gets a good price for his van.
Pleased to see Hannah got through yesterday, it can't of been easy for her. So all your weeds are growing out of control Jane? I can imagine how your mint is growing, it doesn't take much for that to get out of control so all this rain followed by sun will have it growing like mad, at least you won't run out any time soon ;-)
I mustn't forget to buy some tomato plants, we've normally bought them by now but with the year we've had we forgot.

Ros is sitting knitting, so my words got through to her. xxx
We have our tomato plants in for two weeks Gill. JOKE COMING We are picking them already lol lol They are doing well. The runner beans ae showing through also. We always start them off in pots and plant them when they get about 6" high. We have planted the ones Mel recommended. So they had better be alright, or there will be trouble. lol lol.
Mel, I have to tax the car every year, but with Ros on disability it doesn't cost us anything.
IT'S STOPPED RAINING. :-0 :-0 :-0 But everywhere is soaking we. Ros said the the road down into Town is flooded.
Madam wants a Chinese tonight, so I will have a look at the MENU to see what I fancy. No doubt it will be Chicken or KING PRAWNS.
Hope you enjoy your steaks Mel, what is every one having ??

Mandy I loved little Elfie :-D What did you use in the end to fill the body? Mel is this the first time you have done your car insurance on line? It sounds like your necklace and little purse went down a treat with Sandra. What a lovely present :-D
I hope OH's chap turned up to see the van Mandy? Has it sold? So Sandra has been out spending her Birthday money today. She sounds very happy with her purchases Gill :-D . Do you make your own Pizzas?I have never made my own.But I always add extra bits to the ones I buy. Extra mushroom, tomato, maybe a bit of Pancetta and lots of fresh Basil :-D I quite fancy Pizza now LOL .. But it is Rib Eye Steaks for us tonight.
Frank, dont get indigestion tonight after the Indian !!! I am pleased Ros is happy with the repair done on her bracelet . Fish are all sorted in Blisworth then with all the food :-D :-D :-D.
It has suddenly come over really dark now so I dont know if this means MORE rain. I think tomorrow is supposed to be ok . Blitz on the weeds I think. I will have a go on the gravel and Chris will do the beds.

Rump steak for us tonight with mushrooms chips and fried onions and peas and I shall have a tomato with mine.
I never know why people buy pizza when they are so easy to make and much cheeper. Oh dos'nt eat pizza anyway but will have those deep filled ones with the pepperomi on very occasionally. Those I do buy but only when they are on special.
Yes was'nt Elfie just great Jane.
I have taxed the car online before. It always goes up by £5 to the letter they send you to remind you.
Done most of the felting and sewed one end on the slide but now I can't find my new glue gun oh bought at Christmas so until I do I shall start something else. I should be out doing gardening but I just don't feel like it and the suns out here now too.

I think most people do their tax on line these days. I know OH has done it this way for a year or two now. Well I got a bit done in the garden while OH did jobs in the greenhouse and took Cas for a good walk and de- pooed Merlins field. OH is cooking supper tonight, duck legs a la Orange, smash, mushrooms with a side salad! Yum!!

No van hasn't sold as yet the chap had another van to see so said he would ring if he wanted it ,Colin hadn't even advertised it just told a few people that he was thinking of selling . Frank Coiln has been retired since he had his hip operation and he's really enjoying being retired , i don't think he really wants to sell the van but it seems silly to just have it sitting there ,he only did about eight hundred miles in the year after his op and this year it's been even less .
I just used stuffing for the body in the end Jane not the poly beans like the pattern said , i buy those cheap cushion pads out of wilkinsons and use the stuffing out of them as it works out cheaper that way .
Frank enjoy your Chinese ,don't go having the chilli though like you did the other week. :-0
Mel we did our car tax last time on line ,it still seems strange not getting the disc to display on the screen .
DIL makes pizzas with the children ,they all do one and pick out the toppings that they like ,that way they eat them as they have made them . I haven't made any i cheat and buy them and then like Jane i add the extras on top. We've just had Pork steaks and veg then tomorrow it's roast Chicken and i think Katie and Lacey are staying for the day .

Morning all,
We have a dry morning with some sunshine and blue sky with big white fluffy clouds hanging on the breeze to dry. Reminds me of Max Bygraves.
Out of Town
Say what you will, The countryside is still The only place where I could settle down Troubles there are so much rarer Out of town
Spring starts to spring The cuckoo starts to sing A song to take the edge off winter's frown And spring cleaning has a meaning Out of town
Up there the sun is a big yellow duster Polishing the blue, blue sky With white fluffy clouds in a cluster Hanging on a breeze to dry
Trees everywhere With blossoms in their hair And Mother Nature wears her newest gown What I'd give once more to live Right out of town.
Well I do and am very pleased about that too but you can keep the housework.
Nothing planned for today so if it stays dry I may go inthe garden and do a bit if I feel like it.

Morning Mel and All,
I told Ros last night that I would cook her a breakfast this morning, which I did. Sausage, Bacon, Mushrooms, Tomatoes and egg. Toast on the side. I cooked myself one also, but threw most of it in the bin, too much for me to eat in the morning.
Nothing special here weather wise, COLD and breezy. No chance of getting me into the garden today ;-) ;-)
Madam has popped to Tesco to get my phone sorted, and get a few bits we need.
I spoke with Conrad last night via eMail. He has booked a Villa for our holiday, in fact he has booked in for two months. Both Jo and Ella are going out, also Kerry, Mark and Alexander. So I expect that's why he has it for that time. He is talking about moving and getting a nicer place, The apartment he is renting is owned by a Bank and they want to sell it, which they have been saying for a long time, but nothing happens.
Apart from getting dinner for this evening, I have nothing planned, except to phone my Sister and SIL, and I might give Simon a call, as he hasn't rung this weekend.
Have a nice afternoon, whatever you are up to !!!
See you later.

Afternoon all
It started off sunny here this morning but has now clouded over so we might have a bit of rain before the day ends.
I've been pruning a fuchsia we dug up and put in a pot this morning but forgot to take an anti-histamine so now I've got a headache, I am a silly woman, but at least the plant looks better, I just need to remember to take the tablet next time.
I love the picture of the Elf you made Mandy, how many are you making? So you haven't sold the van yet, hope it sells quickly and you get a good price. Like you said there's no point in keeping it if it's not being used much.
Yes we make our own pizza's Jane, Sandra loves it and makes faces on them. I do buy shop bought ones some times but it takes the fun out of making your own. She always has pizza for her birthday and of course a chocolate cake. OH and I had roast chicken as we don't really like pizza. We're having roast lamb today.
Our car tax isn't due until December but the post office is just at the bottom of our road so it's easier for OH to get it from there. I agree it does feel strange not having a tax disc anymore. At first I thought I'd forget when it was due, not realising they send a reminder, so there's no need to think about when it's due now.
So the Villa's all booked then Frank, I bet you can't wait to go. I don't blame Conrad for moving somewhere else to live, it must be a bit of a worry not knowing if the place he's in now is going to be sold or not, or even when it might happen. Hope all is alright when you ring your sister, Simon and SIL later.
I've got the F1 on, they have spent a while talking but I think the race is going to start soon, so I'll go and get a cuppa and settle down to watch it. I hope Lewis does better than he did in the last race.

Afternoon All A very grey day here but at least it is not raining. Well just a tiny bit of drizzle at times. Was that a song by Max Bygraves or a poem Mel? Lovely words.
Well that was a breakfast this morning Frank. Shame half yours went in the bin. maybe you were still full from your Indian Takeaway last night :-D. Yes how did you sleep? I actually slept like a log from just after 10 until 4.15 when you know who wanted out. I then read my kindle for a while until I dropped of again. Chris brought me my cuppa about 8.30 so I had that and caught up with last nights Casualty and Home from Home. Had a bath ,the nipped to little Sainsburys to get some fresh Coriander, unsalted butter and Onions for the dish tomorrow which is that Rice and Lentil thing called Kosheri. I am doing Chicken Pie for tonight. Can't be faffed with a Roast, plus I am not sure what time James will be home so the Pie seems the easiest option :-D
Don't forget your Blood Appointment Mel :-D :-D
Mandy it does make sense for OH to sell the van if he is not using it for work any more.It just keep on depreciating in value just sat on the drive for ever . Are the girls there today then Mandy? I bet they will have you doing something . Maybe making more Elves LOL
The wind seems to be picking up here a lot now .I am in 2 minds as to light the fire or not. It isnt really that cold but it would cheer the place up a bit.
