I can imagine how much Sandra enjoys making and designing her own Pizzas Gill :-D
The only time we really have Pizza is when Fitz comes for lunch. Its not everytime but its just so easy .
How is OH with the funeral getting so near now? Also how is his Mum? You must all be dreading Tuesday :-(

I love Fuchsias ,but I'm not sure we actually have any. I must put that right and get a couple for the patio. My friend in Cornwall loved Fuscias so much I think she had 100 at one time !!!!! But now she is 81 she has had to make her garden easier to cope with. She still has lots of flowers though :-D

I read something so moving this morning . Charlotte , Johnnys sister wrote a wonderful piece just 11 weeks after Johnny took his life.I did share it on my FB timeline ,but if anyone is interested in reading this incredibly touching and moving account of ' Life after Johnny you can see it by just googling
personthinkingoutloud-blog.tumblr.com Life after Johnny It is well worth a read(might need a tissue)

I cant believe I am watching that cheesy programme Say yes to the Dress !!!! All about Brides to be looking for the right dress with Mothers and family in tow !!!!. Some of the Mothers are nightmares. I hope I wont be like that when I go with Hannah :-D I forgot to light the fire ,but the heating has come on now so I wont bother.
Chicken Pie all done and ready for the oven later. There are Mushrooms,Leeks, very thin slices of Carrot , Asparagus and Baby Leaf Spinach in it ,so I am not doing any other veg. Just that one big dish to clean :-D :-D Chris will be pleased :-D

Our patio looks like someone has emptied a lorry load of confetti on it. All the Cherry Blossom is being blown off the branches in this wind :-S. The Magnolia has no flowers left :-(. BUT my Azalea that my Mum bought me many years ago now is just coming into flower :-D.

Evening all,

It's been a grey old day here with rain ,the girls came for the day so we're worn out now .

Oh Jane what a read , just beautiful ,brought a big lump to my throat especially the bit .... what was going through his mind at that exact moment. Did he think about me at all? Was he calm? When did he decide? that must have been so hard for her to write but it's just so beautiful <3

Looks like we're in for some rough weather over night and tomorrow , we both have our check ups at the dentist first thing in the morning so we must be up nice and early .

Jane

Jane Report 29 Apr 2018 20:36

Mandy, I just thought it was a brilliant piece of writing Charlotte did .It was from the heart and when she was grieving so badly too.

Good luck tomorrow at the Dentist .

I hav'nt read it yet Jane as I am getting ready for my blood test but shall when I get back.

We have sunshine this morning and I have washing to go out too. Must shove something down my neck so I can take my pills before I go as its not a fasting blood test.

Have heard from my cousin in Ohio again this morning and she is tryin g to get another distant cousins email address as he did some family search a while ago and I am stuck on one part so he may be able to help.

See you later.

Good morning all,

DON'T put your head outside, it will get blown off lol lol The poor old Tulips are lying on their backs, Ros's vases all full of flowers otherwise she would need to pick them.

We watched the Falcon programme, then Country file. followed byAntiques Road Show. We gave up on the Burrell's two weeks ago. No story line, and some of the people they were bringing into it, isn't seem to add anything. This Royal wedding is going to wear a bit thin for me. I see there's another Programmes tonight at 9.00 pm.

I will have to Google that letter Jane, It sounds HEART WRENCHING. <3 <3 <3

Ros is determined to finish the kitchen today. I will help if I can. !!

I had 10 rounds with Mike Tyson last night in bed lol lol I had cramp in both legs, and was kicking and thrashing around. NO sheet attached to any part of the bed this morning. I will have to help Ros remake it, tucking more sheet under the bottom of the mattress ;-) ;-) ;-)

Simon rang last night, Saturday they had walked round Pitsford Reservoir (Jane will know it) and yesterday they walked 20 miles round RUTLAND WATER. All this in preparation for her Marathon walk around the Marathon course Saturday week through the night. There are a dozen from her station doing it, and about 13,000 throughout the Ambulance service Country wide. I just hope they will have lights on their cloths, and they arrive safe and sound. <3 <3 <3 As yet I don't know which Charity will benefit from it.

I was expecting to wake up to Rain/sleet or snow this morning. Thank goodness I didn't.

Enjoy your day. xxx See youlaer.

Morning all,

I think it's trying to brighten up a bit now but we've had the rain and wind that they forecast.
We both got good reports at the dentist ,both of us had ex rays and they came up ok so we're both ok for another six months now, by the time we need to go again it will
be nearly Christmas.

Oh Frank nothing worse than cramp it leaves your muscles so sore .
It might be that race for life Cancer walk thats she's doing Frank i think they do it
round the Norfolk Showground through the night here but it's a country wide walk.

I think it's a day for staying in so thats what we will be doing ,i have put the hoover round and got the veg done for later so i don't feel so guilty for sitting this afternoon.

Hope your blood test went ok Mel, it will be good if your cousin can help you with the bit on your tree that your stuck on.

Jane

Jane Report 30 Apr 2018 13:19

Afternoon Everyone
Yes this wind is horrible. My eyes have been streaming. Must be all the pollen being blown around. Mind you I have just sliced up 2 big onions so that hasnt helped either :-S
You havent had bad cramp like that for a while Frank. Hope those muscles dont atay too sore for too long.
Is this Moonlight walk for Breast Cancer? I know some some years ago it was ladies in pink Bras that did this walk. Yes I know Pitsford well and Rutland too. We used to take the children on the cycles . We did Grafham Water too with Fitzand his family . We were all on bikes. I remember Olllie(Fitz's youngest ) thowing a right strop that day !!. Boy did Ollie throw some tantrums back then.

Charlottes writing is Heart Wrenching Frank, but so wonderfully written.

Good news for you both at the Dentist then Mandy :-D. I always give a big sigh of relief when I get the all clear, and know I wont be sat in that chair for another 6 months :-D
I hope Mel you had your blood taken easily today and no big bruises :-D

I spoke to Hannah just now and she told me that her friend Hannah is expecting. I am not sure if it was planned or not,but she has been so sick and not at all well. The baby is due the day Hannah gets married !!. So she definitely wont be at the wedding. That is 3 of Hannahs friends now all expecting. The other 2 will have had their babies by December ,so will be able to go to the wedding as Grandparents will be babysitting :-D

I am a little concerned about Thomas. He just doesnt seem himself . It might be a visit to the Vet tomorrow just to have him checked out.

Chris has just lit the fire !!!!

Well we have both been very busy in the kitchen, I have drilled the wall and put the key holder up. It clips onto two screws that are put in the wall, so have to be SPOT ON. which fortunately it was. The new draw handles don't fit in the same holes as the old ones, so again I had to drill a new hole and filled the other one, so s not to show. Ros is now paining the draw fronts, I will then be able to fit the draw fronts in place and attach the handles. Our junk draw will have a good sort out as well.

Poor Valerie next door, was trying to hang her washing to the rotary line without opening it first. I called over to say I would go round and do it. here was Tony, lying on the sofa reading. He has been to the doctors, he has a CHEST INFECTION, I think he has "LAZYITIS." The chest problems haven't sopped him going to the bub most nights !!!

All these new babies Jane. I have just been made a Great Great Grandfather again,!!!! Jo in Devon, has just bought another DOG like JJ So we will be having TWO to look after when she goes to Spain to see Conrad lol lol.

Glad everything is O.K. with your GNASHERS Mandy, something else not to worry bout.

It could well be that is what Sally is doing, I must ask her.

How did the bloods go Mel, like me I expect you will have to wait a few days for the results, lets hope everything is good. Simon said he was at the hospital again last Friday to have more blood taken and thrown away. It seems he can't stop making blood thats full of IRON. What would they call that JANE ???

Draw fronts are painted, just waiting for them to dry, then I can refit them.

Doing SCAMPI and CHIPS tonight, nice and easy and no preparation of veg etc.

We will both be glad to have a nice rest this evening, and I will try to get an early night, and hope for no more CRAMP.

Jane

Jane Report 30 Apr 2018 16:47

Ha Ha Frank. Double trouble coming to yours then LOL Is it a puppy ?
Oh poor Valerie :-(... Fancy Tony just lying there like that. Surely he could have managed just to get of his a*** and get the Rotary up. She really sounds bad Frank if she was tring to get the washing on there before it was up :-(

You have done well again in the kitchen again .All the knobs on my kitchen units and drawers are black They are wood with brass bits and all the gold is black. :-S :-S Grease and general muck. So that is a job to do.

I had to go and sit outside just now to cool off. I seem to have been in the kitchen for hours and what with chopping chillies, frying onions, using Cumin and Cinnamon it all made my face so hot and sweaty. I have done all I need to for now thank goodness .
Just heat the rice and lentil dish, the spicy tomato sauce and pop the chicken breasts in the oven. We havent had this chicken before. It is Persian style !
My specs are misting up because my face is soooo hot :-S I can hardly see to type.
It is still windy but it doesnt seem as bad as it was earlier.

I've put it to record Jane so will have a look later .
How is Thomas now ? perhaps he's had some thing that doesn't agree with him .
So three of Hannah's friends are having babies , were any of them going to be bridesmaids ?

I was going to ask if it was a puppy too Frank ,you'll have your hands full if it is :-D
So a busy day in the kitchen for you both ,it does sound as if it's coming along nicely now.

The rain has stopped at last but the sky still looks full of it .

I've not been well all day, tummy bug and flu I think, what ever it is I feel awful. Not sure if I'll make it to funeral tomorrow, I'll have to see how I am. OH is going and Sandra will stay with me if I'm no better.

Not sure when I'll be back on here. I haven't read any posts, so hope everyone is okay.

Jane we watched Britain in Bloom and I did wonder if it was your BIL when I was watching it , well done to him. Our road has quite a few cherry trees out in full blossom , it always seem to get windy when they are out in full bloom. It does seem like Thomas may need a trip to the vet maybe he has eaten something that had turned nasty.

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well Gill hopefully you will be better tomorrow to support your OH at his brother's funeral.

That was good news Mandy you both getting good news after the dental check up..

Frank both you and Ros having been working hard on the kitchen.

Abbie made a comment yesterday which made us laugh, I asked her who drove her down to Cornwall and she told me the name and then said he died 3 years ago!
apparently he had died for a few minutes during an operation.

Hope your blood test has a good result this time Mel.

Just going to watch the Lady in White.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 30 Apr 2018 21:51

I came home from the docs with three puncture marks. There was a nurse who I had never seen before and she could'nt find a vein so said she would have to go for some help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guess who I got? Yes the dreaded Maria the doctors wife. She is the one who punctured oh about 12 times in different places. This is why I always try to go on a Thursday as thats Chris's day and she can get it first time usually. Anyway after two needles in my left arm and a lot of wiggling around and pain she then decided to get the butterfly thing out and this time she took it from my right arm about an inch and a half up from my wrist and it shot down into the tube thing.

I have two very small bruises on my left arm inside my elbow and hardly a mark on my right arm to which I am most surprized.

After lunch I went to Holsworthy for chicken pellets and oh wanted Evergreen stuff for the lawns. " packs of 4 in 1 at 14.66 plus vat. I paid in the shop and went down to the feed store bit to get them. What a hoo harr they had'nt got the size I had p[aid for which covered 360 square meters they only had the packs of 500square meters at £26 something a bag so I had to go to the outdoor office to pay the difference after ringing oh to make sure he still wanted it.

I was told to park by the office. Two parking spaces were taken and a stupid old bloke had parked his 4 X 4 just over the end of the last space so I could'nt get in there. He then had three attempts to unlock his car door and then got in a sat there!!!!!!!! the man who had served me with the chicken food and compost spoke to him and he moved off so I parked the car and rang oh. I then joined the que for the store again and a girl came up to me with another new collection note for the bigger bags and said I as had been mucked about and it was their fault I could have the bigger bags and no extra charge. As you can imagine I was flabberghasted but drove into the store to pick up my buys. Oh is delighted with the way things turned out as he now has enough to do the lawns twice.

Did'nt have to cook a dinner tonight as he had toasted cheese sandwiches and I had a couple of todays eggs scrambled and toast.

I hav'nt watched the White Lady yet, I am going to watch it tonight though in a min.
Gill I hope e verything goes off ok tomorrow at t he funeral and you feel better tomorrow. It can't help being as bit down about BIL anyway. I hope you feel better soon and Sandra looks after you tomorrow. <3

Right off to watch a bit of telly now.

By the way we have had a lovely sunny day all day but there has been a really chilly wind.

Good Morning Jane and All,

We had a dry day yesterday, with that bitter cold wind. Today is BLUE SKY as far as you can see. The breeze is still here, but no where as strong as yesterday.

Poor you Mel, they do seem to have trouble getting blood from you. What's the old saying "Like getting blood from a stone" lol lol. We don't have to bother with lawn feed etc, as "Green Thumb" treat the lawn with every visit four times a year.

I didn't see any BBC 2 last night. I might try to get it on catchup when Ros goes out with Carolyn.

Gill if you aren't up to it, it will be better for you to stay at home. I am sure the family will understand.

The puppy is 9 weeks old with a name of "LARRY" Ella's choice and HER DOG. I wonder how long she will be responsible for it, before she gets bored, and leaves it for Jo to take over ??

I went to bed with a heat each on my shoulder last night. It feels a little easier this morning, thank goodness.

I can hear movement in the bedroom so I had better go and make more tea, and do her Crumpets.
