Morning all,
Another day day here but its cloudy today.
I have heard from my cousin in Ohio and she has sent me an email address of another cousin so I have been emailing him this morning. Its a work email so I may have to wait a while for his reply. I am so excited to be able to find yet another little cousin from my maternal granmothers side of the family.
Shopping today so I must press on.
Oh has the trailer in position to cut the box hedge and I don't want him up that high thing while I am out so I may have to put off shopping till tomorrow and my glasses may not be in today so that could work out better all round.

HERE I AM. BAD PENNY ALWAYS TURNS UP. !!!!
How are my lovely LADIES. ?? What a wonderful weekend of weather we had all had. From the time we arrived to the moment we left we never saw a cloud in the sky.
Both Ros and I wonder if we would want to do it again. !!!! John is such an ignorant little RUNT, hw spoilt the weekend, not for just us but Carolyn as well. Everything has to revolve around him, from what we will eat to what HE wants on TV in the evening. When he wanted to go out for a walk, Carolyn had to go with him, NO questions asked. !! We, if we wanted to go out , we would catch a bus and meet them in Hastings.
On the Friday evening, HE wanted a Italian meal, so that's where we went. Saturday we had a Salad Lunch, and he didn't want to eat in the evening. SUNDAY he and Carolyn walked to Hastings, and we caught a bus around mid-day. Meet then in the square and we expected to go for a Sunday lunch. OH NO. He wanted and we had no option but to follow, Mussels and SEA FOOD, It suited both Ros and I, as we like it. Poor Carolyn ended up with a salad and Italian cheese, as she won't eat seafood. Last night, I decided we were going out, come what may. We got showered and changed. I said we were going for an INDIAN MEAL, would you like to join us. No thanks, I had Celary and pickled onions at lunchtime, so I won't be eating. SAYS JOHN. Carolyn said she wouldn't be joining us either. So off we went. and had a very enjoyable meal, and time on our own. When we got back around 8.00 pm. He sat with some obscure programme on the T.V., so I went to bed, and left Ros to do as she pleased. I sat in the bedroom watching th Y.V in there. SNOOKER. It was the last frame, and John Higgins missed a shot. As Mark Williams made his shot to become WORLD CHMPION, the picture froze and the screen went blank, So that ws the perfect end to my WEEKEND.
We left there at 10.30 this morning, and he drove all the way home, without asking if anyone would like a loo stop. Roa was busting by the rime she got home, and ran to the toilet as we pulled up. He sat in the drivers seat while Carolyn and I emptied the car.
Ros has bought back the bed linen and towels to wash, the sheets and pillow cases are on the line now. So should be dried shortly. She is waiting on a phone call from Varolyn to go to Tesco's to get fresh milk, bread etc. When she gets back I will take her out for a meal, then we can come home and relax.
I have watered the greenhouse, and flower beds and baskets. WHICH as you can imagine needed it.
I haven't read any posts, as you can imagine, but I assume you ae all well, and fighting fit.
We have beed pestered with phone calls since we came home, from DOORS AND WINDOWS to APARTMENTS in TORQUAY. No peace for the wicked. !!!
Nice to be home, and get settled back to OUR routine.
I just remembered it was also a MOTOR CYCLE MEETING for the weekend. We had Motor Bikes roaring up and down the sea front all WEEKEND. !!!
Also on the way home the girls were chatting in the back. HE said for GOD SAKE SHUT UP FOR A FEW MINUTES. You are driving me MAD. What a GENTLEMAN HE IS. !!!!
I will sit and calm down now, see you all tomorrow. I have 86 EMAILS to look at now.

Afternoon all
It's been raining here after a bit of sunshine this morning, not a patch on the last few days where we had wall to wall sun. I've got a virus at the moment so feeling very under the weather, it didn't stop me doing a bit of gardening when the weather was nice though and we now have a new border for me to fill with more pot plants. I did a bit this morning when it was dry, but to be honest didn't really feel like it, so I was secretly pleased when it rained and I had an excuse to stop and come indoors.
The fella has FINALLY turned up and done the gate so that's now done and hopefully he won't take as long to do the side fence. He's left all the old gates around the side of the bungalow so I doubt OH will be pleased when he gets back from his mates later. Normally I would of made it look better but really don't feel up to sorting out rubbish in damp weather so it can stay there until one of us feels like doing it. The fella did say he'd take the rubbish away when he's finished the fence, but we waited almost 2 months for him to come and do the gate so if it's going to be that long then we'll get rid of the rubbish ourselves.
How did your OH get on today Mel, did you stay with him in the end? Good idea to do the shopping tomorrow if you need to go out anyway, then you can kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.
How's Colin getting on with painting the fence Mandy? That'll be our next job painting the new gate and then the fence when it goes up. That's one job I'm not to keen on, it goes on forever and it's not an exciting job either. Hope it didn't take Colin to long to do his. Pleased to see the van is sold now, you never know you might get a little something too.
Sorry to hear you've been......well, what can I say, CONTROLLED all weekend Frank and as for not stopping for a loo break on the way home, what was he thinking??? I'm pleased you and Ros had one nice meal out together, but I bet you're glad to be home and back to normal now?
I kept getting the error page over the last two days, which is why I wasn't online yesterday so I've not been able to see any post before this page yet. I hope everyone is okay and had a nice bank holiday weekend. I also hope you have a nice few days now you're home Frank.

I've just managed to get to the page before this one, finally.
Isn't that a pain Mel, with people starting a fire when the weather is nice. Surely they must realise people have their washing out and windows open. We live in a smokeless zone, but it still doesn't stop some people. The smell lingers for ages doesn't it?
Sorry to hear you've been in pain Jane I hope you feel better now. Thanks for the emails. Sandra and I love the video's especially the calf and the picture of Thomas in the plant pot, he looks quite at home there doesn't he?
Sandra's back is still a bit sore but not as bad as yesterday. She's still using the Voltarol cream, which seems to be helping. I lost count of the times I had to ask her to sit down today as she kept insisting on helping me move some plants into the new border. I have wheels I can use, so in the end she gave up and sat and did her wordsearch book. I re-potted the pot that broke in her fall so that's sorted now and another larger pot that needed doing from last year.
The sun's trying to come out again now, although it's a lot cooler than it's been over the last few days. The weather girl did say the temperature is going to drop over the next week and there will be some more rain. It'll save me having to water the plants so that's not to bad. I'll only have a few to do in the greenhouse then.

Evening All
Oh Gill I would have loved t ohave a little sprinkling of rain today.I feel hotter than ever. It was so hot on Fitz's terrace when we had lunch and he had broken the big Parasol so we had to make do with a teeny weeny one that really didnt do much .I have the big fan on now. I am glad your fence is done at last and hope you dont have ot wait too long now for the fence. Glad Sandra loved the emails :-D
Well Frank, what can I say about John! He sounds a selfish chauvinistic pig.I certainly could not live with someone like that .He obviously thinks of no-one but himself :-S :-S At least you had lovely weather for the time you were there, the only positive thing from what I can see. So Hastings will be off next time you are invited :-D :-D I am sorry that he was so self centered and spoilt things for you.
Thomas has just arrived with a Rabbit !. Chris has shot out to shoo him under the hedge with it.
Mandy I think that is really nice of OH to give your DIL some of the money from the sale of the van. I am sure it will come in very handy for some new summer stuff for the children. Clothing 5 cant be a cheap job especially when they grow out of everything so quickly. I wouldnt fancy painting a fence in this heat . Did he give up once he was in the sun Mandy?
Was OH safe Mel doing the Box Hedge?I bet you kept a close eye on him. I hate it when Chris is up on the scaffolding thing and I try and hang about just incase he has a fall. If I have to go out I amke sure he has his phone with him in case he needs to call 999.
I have a couple of Lasagnes in the oven. They are those dine for 2 M&S ones. So feed 4 even though it is 3 of us. I think James will easily polish off 3/4s of one. They were half price as the use by date was today.I had to pop to M&S in town here to collect a top I ordered yesterday at Rushden Lakes and just happened to spot the Lasagnes. So that made my mind up as to what to have tonight :-D
I have a blood test tomorrow morning and have to fast from midnight.I booked to go the the Council Building rather than the surgery or Hospital . It is much nicer there and is kind of set out like a mini ward.
The smell of Rape Seed is so strong here. It is really horrible. I can almost taste it.My lips feel all tingly and weird too :-S It really makes us feel really lethargic with a funny head. Not a headache but a heavy kind of feeling. Not easy to describe.
I may not be back again tonight so if not will catch up again tomorrow.

Oh dear Frank, your weekend doesn't sound much fun!! Arrogance and chauvinism come to mind, together with downright rudeness. Neither of us would want a friend like that!! Why did Ros bring home bed linen and towels to wash?!! Surely your host didn't expect her to do that?!! Unless of course you took your own! Even if Ros offered, it's pretty strange to accept!! Not my businesses, but what with that and the shopping, I think you're both in danger of being 'used' by these 'friends' Nice sunny morning here, but a cold wind and threatening clouds! Ian's planting out some more veg, and a few other outside jobs. I need to get on too!

Good Morning Liz, and all, Yes Liz, Ros offered to bring home the washing, which she did yesterday. I got in all in when it was nice and dry. We would normally put the towels in the TD as she likes them "FLUFFY" But I just hung them on the line.
They are off to Tenerife on Sunday for a month, and Carolyn will have plenty to do before she goes. Believe it John has no real friends, if fact poor Carolyn hasn't many friends either. HE always has something to say and criticise other people. Hence they don't want to associate with him. The friendship is between ROS AND CAROLYN.
A nice cool morning here, with lots of white clouds. I don't know what we are expecting weather wise.
Mandy it's so nice that Colin wants to share his money from the sale of the van with the children. I think most G'parents are as soft as him. xxx
Nothing changes with Thomas then Jane. I bet you have a job to see a rabbit in your garden.
Gill, perhaps the chap will move all the rubbish when he does the fence. I can't think that he would expect you to do it.
Ros is off into the garden. I expect I will follow and get the lawns cut, as they certainly need it again.
See you later.

I haven't made it to the garden yet, execpt to get the hammer down from the garage roof. We have quite a lot of hammers around, but Ros couldn't find one, and I knew where that one was ;-) ;-) ;-)
I have prepared, A leg of pork with crackling, New Potato's, Caulu, Broc. Runner beans, peas and carrots. I have made Cheese sauce and the Yorkshire pudding. With the bread that was still in the fridge I have made a Bread and Butter pudding for afters. We will make up for the poor we haven't had over the weekend. :-P :-P :-P
I was in a lovely sleep this morning, and got cramp in my left calf. Oh what a horrible pain, and even now it hurts to touch it.
Still a very pleasant morning outside, a lot cooler than of late, but just right for getting jobs done.
I have spoken to my Sister Mary. She tells me that Fran my SIL who's son died recently, is in floods of tears. She is sorting through Steve's personal belongings, which must be very difficult at this time.
I have had THREE "WITHHELD" phone calls this morning, as you answer it the bu@@ers ring off. I think it's just so as they can pass on the information that someone is home at that particular time. these dam cold callers drive you mad. Ros had one yesterday for WINDOWS AND DOORS She told them in no uncertain words what they could do with their Windows and doors.. !!!! GOOD GIRL. I am teaching her the right way lol lol.
Onwards and upwards, as they say. I am going to get the back lawn cut now. !!!!

Frank, you can get these calls blocked. When we first came here they were nothing but a nuisance but since we've put a stop on them we don't get worried by them anymore! Might be worth looking into! Sitting outside this morning as the sun is lovely and warm although there is a stiff breeze. Ian has done a lot of planting out and is now fixing the camera and Garmin into the car, next will be a tow bar, then we're done!! Nearly time for lunch! remains of the beef tonight (curry) and rice!

Afternoon all,
Cloudy here today with a cold wind.
Di came this morning and we had a good old chin wag.She brought her little old dog with her he is 11 and just had 10 teeth out which cost her £400!!!! I asked if she had pet insurance for him as she has had him from a puppy and she said no but they don't cover their teeth. I did'nt know that. We let Zak out of her car and he ran about and had a couple of wees. I asked her what he was like with chickens and she said he had never met any. He pooed on the back lawn and we came in for coffee so she put him back in the car. As she was getting ready to go with all the magazines and bits I had given her oh let Zak out again and he went straight down to the bantams and worried them and they were all flying about in their run and making a hell of a racket. I don't suppose they will lay for a few days now.
First I dusted the bedroom and it really needed it as we only use cotton sheets. Then put the washing out and helped oh with the box hedge. He has just found one nest, a blackbirds one but they had all fledged. Then it was time for lunch.
Now I have washed up and tried once again to get on here. I hav'nt read your posts yet so by posting this I should get to the last page.
Frank did you sleep well last night in your own bed?

We have the thing that blocks the cold calls coming through and it dos'nt work here as we are always getting them. It mkaes you so cross when you rush in from the garden only to be greeted by them putting the phone down. Oh says its call centers that ring a few numbers at once and when someone answers they cut the others off. It ought not be aloud. Think of how many people have a job to get to their phones to answer them and its all a waste of time.

I also blocked these calls, but a lot of good that did. !!! I even had two more this afternoon. I was very rude to one who started on about SOLAR PANELS. I expect they get abused all the time. A hazard of the job !!!
It's turned a lot cooler this afternoon, Ros said she thinks we might get some rain,is it forecast ??
There is football on SKY tonight, but I just van't be bothered to go to watch it. Tomorrow West Ham are playing Man. Utd. so I might go down for that.
We are out on Sunday, Jean, one of our friends is 80. She has a hugh house and garden not far from here. I understand around EIGHTY PEOPLE are invited. So there will be a "BUN FIGHT" getting to the food. I hope the weather holds out, even though she will have a marquee , and has a swimming pool room, that opens onto the gardens. It's never the same if it rains.
I finally got into the garden. I trimmed round the lawn with the long handles sheers, then cut the lawn as far as I could. Ros was working in the far bed. I told her to call me when I was able to get to that side. Too late, when I went out she had done it. All ir was left for me to do was empty the grass box and clean and put the mower away.
I have cooked the Cauli and Broc. and made the cheese sauce. That is in a dish now, ready to go in the oven later. I have the pork in the oven to crisp up the crackling. Then I will turn it down to cook slowly. We will have dinner early tonight as neither of us have eaten since 9.00 am. Roa her Weetabix and me, my mate on toast.
I have just called Ros in, she has done a wonderful job down the far bed and down by the greenhouse. She is totally ignoring me, she must have other things she wants to do.
Off now, have a nice evening all, it will be nice to get a proper meal in us this evening. lol, lol

Afternoon All It has clouded right over here now after a lovely sunny morning. This temperature suits me just fine now :-D
Poor Bantams Mel,they musy have a right fright with Zac suddenly appearing and causing mayhem :-S. That was an awful lot of teeth he had to have out. I think my friends dog Molly had about that number out last year.
Frank, I am not at all surprised that John has no real friends ,and it is such a shame that the same is for Carolyn . At least she has Ros :-D
I had my blood test this morning and I never even felt the needle go in. On the way home I stopped off at the little Co-op for some bread and saw Steve(the homeless man) I bought him a coffee from the machine and we had a chat. I asked him how his back was as I know he has a lot of pain and is now having to use a stick. His back is quite hunched. He sais he is waiting for a hospital appointment for that and he also has a hernia which I think he said will seen to at the end of this month. Poor old thing. I wais I knew how old he is . He did say today he has 2 sons . One 17yrs who is mentally disabled and is like a child ,and another son of 20 who I think he sounded quite proud of as he said he has a job and a car and works for Amazon (something to do with computers). Steve is sooooo thin !!. With the warmer weather he doesnt have a big thick coat on and his old holey jogger bottoms looked like they were just holding up. I am tempted to go and buy him a new pair (if it didnt embarrass him).None of James or Chris's clothes would fit Steve.
I have actually managed to get some things done today. Washing,Ironing and cleaning the disgusting tiled wall at the back and around my cooker. Frank I hung my towels out too,but now wish I had done them in the tumble d,as they have dried really rough and hard :-S :-S It might be like drying yourself with a bit of sandpaper !!!!!. That definitely wont be good in the delicate places :-S I like a soft and fluffy towel. But with our hard water towels never ever stay really soft.
I meant to say yesterday....... I saw something that really made me chuckle!!!!! It was one of these Defibrillators on the front wall of a Funeral Parlour ! :-D :-D.. I just thought 'Well it wont be any use to any of their ' CUSTOMERS' It seemed a strange place to put one although I know one anywhere is a good thing. It just hit my warped sense of humour . :-D

I can just see you in a Bun fight Frank LOL .I assume it will be a buffet style meal. Fingers crossed the weather stays ok although I think the weekend is not looking quite so good. It will be some party with 80 people. But it sounds a big enough place to cope .It sounds lovely
We blocked cold calls ages ago ,but just recently they have started up again. We often get the ones with no-one on the other end. I had one the other day that just said GOODBYE ! :-D. The latest though was to do with funerals ! I dont want to go there just yet thank you. The Solar Panel one is a right nuisance .I press 9 to remove myself from any further calls but it seems to make no difference. That is an automated call. I do feel sorry though for the young people having to make these kind of calls from call centres .Some of them will still be at school and just doing holiday work . Hannah used to do it ( I cant remember what she was selling) but she had plenty of abuse and even pervy comments ! She had enough after a couple of months and gave it up. I think she was about 16/17 then. That job was just a taster, abuse wise for all the jobs she has had since LOL . What with prison work, addicts, and Mental Health patients ,it is nothing now if she has a load of abuse or sexual comments aimed at her.
Tomorrow Chris is going on one of his walks. He hasn't done one for ages.

Evening all,
Phew it's been another hot one even with the breeze it was to hot to sit out .
So ZaK has upset the girls then Mel ,i bet they wondered what the heck he was as they don't see many dogs , i hope they settle down and get laying again for you .
Eighty people is a lot to cater for Frank ,does she have help to do all the food ?
That does seem a strange place to site a Defibrillator but people will remember where they have seen it if it makes them smile like it did you Jane :-D
You could get Steve some new jogging bottoms and just tell a little porkie Jane saying that some one had bought them for James as a present and they are to small ,just ask him if he would like them and say i'll bring them next time your that way . When i took Nicko the meal i just said we had some food over would he like it as it would only be going out ,i didn't say i had cooked extra so there was some for him . The school rang DIL today to say that they now have a place in Nursery for Lewis ,he should have started after Easter but they were full, he was next on the list when some one leaves , he does have his place for reception class in September ,now DIL has to buy all his school uniform ready for him to start on Monday she thought she had plenty of time as he wasn't going until September , so good old Grandad has said get all he needs and he will pay , at this rate there will be no money left from the van sale ffor me ;-) :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
Max is here snoring his head off :-D :-D :-D

We occasionally get cold calls, but not very often. We had one about insulation a couple of weeks ago. We just say 'No thankyou' and put the phone down. It's not the fault of the caller so perhaps a bit unfair to be rude to them, however annoying it is! Quite chilly here this evening but no rain- yet!! I'm afraid I always hang towels outside as we're not fussed about how they dry!!! I hardly ever use the tumble dryer in the interest of our electricity bill!! Did more gardening this afternoon while OH had a well earned snooze. He's now cooking supper - I shall clear up!!
